She was done mopping and dusting the third room so she prepared all her cleaning materials so she could transfer to the other rooms. Yes, she has to do all the housework since her co-worker needs to go home to attend to her mother's burial. The other housemaids where all busy on their own designated works at the other barrack centers where the troops are situated. After wiping the sweats that had form on her forehead, she started heading out.

Her eyes widened as she held her breath. She couldn't believe her eyes. wait… she tried to clear her eyesight using her knuckles, then once again looked at the woman standing along the hallway trying to open her master Liam's room.

"What are you doing?" a female voice called out from somewhere. Aisha suddenly jolted in surprise and slowly spun around to see who it was. the housemaid! Her eyes widened.

"Miss Aisha?!" The housemaid yelped but Aisha was quick to silence the young lady's mouth.

"Shhhh…!" she cued then she pulled the housemaid inside the room beside them. Aisha peeked outside to make sure that no one was around. Then she made sure to lock the door.

She heaved a heavy sigh. Just earlier, her heart was beating so fast when she heard a voice and wasn't able to process her thoughts and had skipped the fact that it was a woman's vocal sound. all she knew was that she was busted. Good thing it was just Jane Joel, the housemaid who was looking after her when she was on the ship going to the said Island.

"Miss Aisha, what are you doing here? I thought you escaped?!" the young lady asked in confusion.

"It's a long story but I am here to search for something." Aisha replied.

"But it is too dangerous! What if they'll catch you again?"

"Yeah, I know, but I'll be careful." She smiled. "Jane, do you know where Liam's room is?" she asked when she saw that the young lady was holding some cleaning materials. That means that she has a key to each room.

"Yeah. It was the room that you were trying to open just now. why?"Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.

"I need to find something. it's urgent." She pleaded.

"I could help you out since I am about to clean the room, but you should at least dress like me so you can freely move how much you like." Jane proposed.

"I like that idea. Then can you lend me one of yours?"

"Of course. Wait for me here."

Then Jane rushed downstairs and dash to the servant's room. after a few minutes, she came back with the outfit in her hands.

"Thank you, Jane." She muttered before she received the dress and change her outfit immediately. the men outside shouldn't recognize her since they haven't seen her personally yet.

"Please tell me what you're looking for Miss Aisha so I could help you out."' Jane offered.

"A secret ledger. But I don't know who has it. if I can't find it with uncle Liam then I'll try to search Silver's room later." she responded while searching the mini library cabinet.

Jane leaned on the glass wall and sighed. she wanted to help the woman but she doesn't know how it looks like. She rested for a few minutes and was about to continue scrubbing the floor near the window, when she accidently got a glimpse of Liam's car parking on the garage. He had just entered the house.

"Miss Aisha, Sir Liam is here!" Jane rushed to her side and tried to look around for a spot where she could hide the woman. however, the door to the room immediately clicked to open.

Liam! both their eyes widened in dread.

24 hours had passed, however, according to the inspector, Silver did not spill out nor admitted any of the alleged crimes against him since they started interrogating him. he wanted to escalate the case and involve the supreme court because he was confident that the officials will stand by his side if they learnt that he has the golden egg. it is definitely a great weapon!

"As I had predicted." Rio uttered fiercely when he heard his lawyer's reports.

"So what are your plans?" his attorney asked his suggestion.

"Let's go with his preposition if that is what he wants. He wanted a game? Well, I will give him one." He smirked.

It took them an hour before wrapping up their conversation. So when Rio's attorney went home, Sherry went to see him in his study room.

"Sherry, why are you here?" Rio was a bit surprise when he saw her.

"Rio, I want to see Silver."

"Now?" Rio creased his brow. "But why?"

"I need to know where my Erika is." She lowered her head.

"But you know that he won't answer you seriously. He will just pester you."

"If it takes me to beg him then I will."

"But what if he h----''

"He's in prison, right? he won't be able to hurt me, that's for sure." Sherry insisted.

She is stubborn and Rio knew that. she won't stop unless she sees it or do it herself and so he sighed in defeat.

"Fine… but I can't let you go alone… I will accompany you."

After a few minutes' drive to the precinct, Rio stayed with the chief inspector while Sherry was accompanied by a police officer to see Silver.

"Oh what a surprise! Did you possibly have a change of heart that's why came to see me?" Silver sardonically uttered in contempt.

"You're a liar!" Sherry shrieked. "Where is my daughter." She snorted. "tell me where my Erika is."

"You're a traitor too, don't you remember?" he scoffed. "You planned everything with Rio, so what made you believe that I will just tell you where she is?" he was gravely upset.

"Silver, I did not come here to argue, I just need to know where my daughter is. Please, I am begging you!"

"My proposal will never change. Either you come with me or she'll be in constant danger. You choose." He challenged her.

"Silver, can't you see the fight is over?! Don't you think it's time for you to face all your sins? Please, it's not yet too late to atone for your sins."

Silver scoffed tediously. "Sins? Since we are talking about sins, Sherry don't you think you should be in jail with me right now? or are you still washing off your hands?" he looked at her irksomely.

"We both know what really happened that night!" she glared.

"Sherry, Sherry, Sherry…. Should I tell Rio about it?" he smirked. "Don't ever think that just because I'm here doesn't mean that I cannot do anything against you or Rio. remember, I still have your daughter." He chuckled crazily.

"Silver!" she vexed. "Please, let my daughter go. she has done nothing to you. you can just kill me if you want but please, spare my daughter!" she was pleading.

"Sherry…" The woman jerked in surprise when she heard Rio's voice. she spun around to see Rio walking near her.

"It's no use persuading a heartless man. but we should go, Ethan told me that he has an information about Aisha." Rio uttered without looking at the man on the other end.

"ha-ha-ha!" Silver laughed mockingly. "It's not bad to raise your hopes for now. but I don't think you'll ever find her."

"Sherry, let's go." Rio ignored the man and helped Sherry up. They were about to walk towards the exit when Silver suddenly called out.

"Sherry, you didn't tell him yet? or do you want me to disclose everything to him right now?" His tone was threatening that Sherry couldn't help but turn around to face the man.

Silver was wearing a mocking face despites Sherry throwing daggers at him.

"Rio, don't you want to know what really transpired in the past?" Silver smirked. "Because I don't think that you have heard everything from the woman."

Rio suddenly creased his brow. What did he just say? Is he saying that there's a lot of things that had happened in the past aside from what Sherry said before? What could it be? Is it worse than what he heard from the woman? Then with a scary aura around him, he faced Silver who has a sly smile painted all over his face.

"Tell me…" he voiced.
