She was devastated upon hearing her mother's verdict. It's happening now, what had happened to her sister was about to happen to her. Lisa couldn't do anything but to agree with her parent's wishes. Arrange marriage? Its damn unavoidable. She knew it will soon come to pass but she never thought that it will happen as early as she predicted.

She locked the door to her room and sat behind it. she was sobbing while listening to her sister jane arguing with her mother.

"You're doing it again, mom! Do you really think this is the best for her? are you blind or so? Can't you see what's happening to Lisa right now?"

"Jane, enough! What's bound to happen will happen. This is her fate!" her father yelled.

"Dad, mom… are you that heartless? Is ruining my life not enough to you that you have to destroy my sister's life too?"

"What we did is for your own good, Jane. Look at you right now, aren't you satisfied with your high status?"

"All you care about was my social status… ah, wait, no… it's not actually MY social status, you only cared about YOUR status! You never thought about what we want, if it will make us happy. If we are living a purposeful life." Jane started to pour her heart out. When Lisa heard Jane sobbing, she immediately came out and went beside her.

"Sister, enough… just let it be." Lisa muttered.

"No Lisa! I don't want you to experience the hell that I've been through." She shrugged her hands holding her left arm. "This crazy tradition should stop right here!"

"Jane! Be careful with your words! This is a tradition set by your great grandparents----''

"And I cursed them!" she interrupted her mother. "I was never and will never be proud to be in this ancestry line and will curse it until the day I die!"

Lisa was taken aback when her mom rush to slap Jane in the face. it was hard enough that her face turned red immediately.

"Watch your words and don't disrespect your ancestors. Do you want bad luck to chase you for the rest of your life?!" her mother yelled.

"Having you as a mother was already the worst bad luck I ever had." Jane bellowed. Her mother was about to raise her hand to slap her but the father rush to stop her hand.

"Sonia! Stop it." then he pulled the woman a distant away from their two daughters who were both shedding some tears.

"If you think that meddling with my life before was your greatest pride, then you better think again. If only you knew the hell I have to endure each and every day, then you yourself will curse the day you called yourself a mother!" Jane spurted before leaving the house.

Lisa was about to follow her sister but then her mom stopped her.

"Lisa! You take one step outside and we're done!"

She halted. What will she do? she wanted to comfort her sister but she was afraid of her mother.

"Go back to your room, this instant!" Sonia commanded.

With a defeated shoulder, Lisa slowly walk towards her room and lock herself inside. Then she cried her heart out. why is she such a coward? And why is fate so cruel to her? why couldn't she write her own story? Why couldn't she carve her own path? Lots of why's are running around her head as of that moment.

She was crying in despair for a few minutes now, but then she jolted when she heard some jangles somewhere. She then wipes her tears on her cheeks, stood up and tried to look around. Wait, is there a rat inside her room? ah no! the clatters came outside--- outside the window? eh!

She creased her brow and secure a book in her hands for self-defense in case that a burglar came in. then she slowly walked towards the open window and was stunned when someone appeared in front of her. her heart leaps out and with eyes closed, she started hitting whatever was in front of her.

"Lisa… Lisa… calm down it's me!" a male voice whispered in her ears. She halted and looked at the man covering her mouth. then her eyes widened. Caleb!

"Lisa, what happened? Are you okay?" her dad was knocking on the door. She cued the man to hide himself before she pulled the doorknob, only to see her worried father.

"I-I'm fine…I'm sorry, I just fell on my own." She lied.

"Oh, okay… as long as your fine." the old man was a bit suspicious but when he saw the woman's dark eyes, he left to let her rest.

"What are you doing here? They can't see you here!" the woman whispered after closing the door.

"I want to see you… I miss you so much." Caleb embraced the woman lovingly. Lisa was a bit overwhelmed at the moment. she must admit that she misses this man so much. The man whom she loved the most, so she hugged him back.

After a few seconds, Caleb looked at the woman's eyes and inspected her frame. She definitely loss some weight and dark circles surrounded her once beautiful eyes. she looks so pale and fragile.

"What have you done to yourself?" he worriedly traces her face with his fingers. Lisa shed a tear and leaned her head on his head then she started sobbing continuously.

"Lisa… let's go back to the Central State. Let's start a new life out there, along with Sahaya."

"Caleb…I… I'm getting married this Saturday." She stepped away from the man.

"But Lisa, you have a choice."

"No, you don't understand. In this family, your own choice doesn't matter." She replied.

Sherry and Ethan stood up at once as soon as they heard Rio. Wait! Silver escaped?

After the call, Rio went back to where the three people are. His face traces frustration and disappointment. But deep inside his head, he knew this will happen. Guess his plans are all taking into place. Of course, he never expected Silver to give in that easily. He won't, that's for sure. he might hate it but Silver has a portion of a Mikasa blood in him as well, so being a fighter runs in their blood.

"Silver escaped while being transported. Seems like he had planned it beforehand." Rio nonchalantly uttered.

"No!" Sherry faintly fell on the couch. That man will definitely do some crazy stuffs again.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.

"So what are we going to do now?" Ethan muttered.

"he is on the top wanted list. but according to the officer I've talk to, he was not on either of his houses." Rio informed them.

"I think I know where his going next." The three looked at the young man. ah yeah, they forgot about this young man.

"What do you mean? You know where he is?" Ethan probed.

"Ehm…" the young man nodded. "I'm sure he will use the island as his scapegoat. Miss Aisha is in there as well."

"Where is that place? Can you show us the way?" Rio implored.

"Yes, I can. but I don't think attacking the island is not as easy as 1-2-3. All the ships sailing around it are being monitored day and night. it's very dangerous."

"So you are saying that the Island was owned by Silver?"

"Yes. that's why it's heavily guarded. Although, I know another way in but we have to swim underwater."

"Tell us all that you know about that island then we can plan our next step by then." Ethan replied.

"Yes Sir."

Rio took his phone out and dialed a number. But after a few minutes, Sherry suddenly yelped.

"The island! I know where it is!" she yapped.

"What do you mean?" Rio came close.

"I just remember, I accidentally opened a blue confidential envelope at Silver's room before. it was carefully sealed. Yes, Silver bought an Island a long time ago and all his illegal transactions were happening in that place. I think his been into producing some kinds of drugs. I'm not sure what that is. But if you want to have a very detailed map, then you should get that blue sealed envelope at Silver's mansion." she explained.

"Miss Sherry is right. there are actually three big factories situated in that Island.' Les confirmed.

"Then we will raid Silver's house tonight." Rio and Ethan stared at each other's eyes and immediately went out. as for Rio, he reinforced his men to follow them at Silver's house as soon as possible. They can't waste any more time.
