“Husband?” Grandma Sheng looked at him in disbelief. “As in what husband usually means?”
The little boy nodded. “I’m going to marry her.”
Grandma Sheng asked in a shaky voice, “Dear, how old are you?”
“Two and a half.”
“Heh… Kids nowadays are wise beyond their years…” Grandma Sheng chuckled awkwardly. Sheng Yize gave him a sidelong look. “Si Bai? I thought you went back to Ying City?”
Si Bai looked a little shy when he replied, “I’m here with Mum to see Pepsi…” He had had to beg Mrs. Si to bring him here.
“Alright. You’ve seen her. You can go now,” said Sheng Yize impassively.
Si Bai hadn’t expected that reply. Darting a look between Sheng Yize and Pepsi, he handed the small box to Grandma Sheng in silence, and promptly turned to leave.
It was obvious that the young lover’s heart had been wounded.
“Hey, little one, don’t go.” Grandma Sheng stopped him right away. “What’s your name and where do you live? When did you start liking Pepsi? Why, don’t be shy. Tell me all about it.”
“Hm?” Si Bai was a little confused.
“Tell Granny and you can be Pepsi’s husband!”
Si Bai blinked and began to tell her all about himself.
Despite his young age, one could tell that he was very intelligent. Smart and adorable, he soon won Grandma Sheng’s heart.
