New York

"Se..senior, e..everything is ready" little 4th stuttered at the silhouette. He was horrified by this man he called senior. Days after he arrived in the country, he had wrecked havoc in the city. He saw his senior killing with his brute strength and still had the gut to smile along the way, during these times however, he could only look away and sigh in frustration...it's the same today as well....

"Hmm..took you long enough"

"I..I..I..."

"hahaha just messing with you, don't be too tense"

They walked out of the room, a metallic stench wafting throughout. This dark room would only be found out later and by then, it would be too late for the police to investigate. The signs of his senior's appearance here would then have completely vanished.

They arrived at a club, thousands of bodies colliding and grinding each other on the dance floor. He particularly hated this but his loyalty to the senior in front of him made him grit his teeth and walk in the crowd of drunk people.

" Little 4th, which room?"

"room 504"

"ahh, so...this one"

Both of them walked into the room, and once they did, the people in it trembled in fear. Little 4th was actually a revered figure that was known to be the only person able to walk with senior. His presence made people quiver in fear, but compared to his senior's, it lacked.

"We..welcome Mr. Gong Ki--"

BANG

A gunshot was heard. The people widened their eyes in shock and fear as they saw a bullet plunged deep into the forehead of the man who spoke, his blood trickling down on his lifeless body. Little 4th just killed him.

"No one is allowed to call Senior by his name" his voice boomed. Everyone knew not to call him by his name. Gong Kim. The man who died just now, probably deserved it

"Now, let's talk business, shall we?" Gong Kim smiled

...

"Lin.." 'where could daddy be?'

"Miss Lin..?"

"Ms. Anna Lin?"

"Ah..? I'm sorry, what?" she finally snapped out from her train of thought as she looked at the woman who called her

"what instructions do you have for us?" the woman repeated

"I'm sorry..what's your name again?" she asked as she massaged her temples

"Carter Williams of the IT department" Carter said as she smiled at her. Her gaze was one of understanding, it seems that she has misunderstood my thoughts for stress...sigh

"I want a re-assessment of the people employed there. And I want you to make a background check on David Scott. Remember to do it discreetly"

"Yes ma'am"

It only took a few minutes for Carter to rush back in the room and report the results of her research. The woman proved to be efficient as the report was in full detail and when she left, Hui Yin called Mr. Cheng to report to him. It had been a few weeks since she saw him. When he came back from his trip a month ago, he only visited the company once and has not come back since. She spent Christmas Eve with Xia Lan and they went on a shopping spree, Lan bought clothes while she bought accessories. The ones she bought would then be sent to Japan and would have it remodeled for her personal use.

"Good day Mr. Cheng, the report you wanted on David Scott has been sent to your e-mail. The meeting scheduled today has been dealt with as well."

"en"

"Do you have further instructions regarding th--" "Ming-hùa, could you hand me the towel please~"

Hui Yin was cut off by the sound of the voice from her phone. It seems that they are living together... I must have disturbed them..

"I'm sorry Mr. Cheng, I didn't know you were busy. Should I call back later?"

"no"

"very well, Mr. Cheng, do you have further instructions for today?" she could hear his footsteps and sound of the door swinging open. The splashing of water was heard on the phone

"no"

"Good bye, Mr. Cheng" she cut the call and sighed heavily. Her heart felt heavy, her eyes rimmed red, and tears threatened to pour out.

What is happening to me? No, this can't mean...hahaha what am I thinking? I'm not fit for love...I don't deserve it. Maybe this is just because of daddy...dad...right...

She got up from her seat and walked outside to get her favorite frappe from the cafe across the street, Java chocolate chip frappe topped with bitter chocolate syrup. It was a stress reliever for her, sweets were the best.

Hui Yin walked along the sidewalk, observing her surroundings with her frappe on hand. She's been working for Cheng Corps. for a year now and in another, she would finally be able to return back home.

HONK!! HONK!!

She turned her head towards the honking sound and saw a car speeding towards a little boy. The scene was familiar and a flashback came to her

---

"Hui Yin!!" she heard a voice call in her head.

Brother.....

---

She snapped out of it right away and ran towards the little boy. The car was now very near the boy and with no time to spare, she jumped straight towards him and used her body to shield him as they both rolled and fell, away from the speeding car.

Hui Yin's head bumped onto the pole and lost consciousness.

...

"if only she did not call him out that day, young master Hui might have lived"

"hmph! that child has guts to even visit her brother's grave"

"shhh, Master Hui Han might hear you"

the women bickered as they gazed at the poor girl hugging her brother's coffin. Of course, she could never forget this incident. She would never forget to repay this debt with her life. This memory had been engraved onto her soul.

Maybe I should just go to brother and maybe my debt to him would be repaid....she was about to..but... she heard his voice

"Yin, you must live"

"Brother..?"

"hold my hand, I'll take you back" he said with a smile

"no..."

"do it...for me"

...

beep..beep

"Doctor, she's regaining consciousness" she heard muddled voices then surrounding her. She blinked her eyes open but soon lost consciousness once again
