Our attacks might sound very powerful but the guards are not receiving any irrecoverable damages at all. Remember that this is a world where cultivation is possible and cultivation is natural for everyone. The only reason why it is not common is because the people in power do not want everyone to cultivate. Only the children of powerful families and the gifted children who are spotted by the immortal sects will be taught cultivation techniques.

There are another set of people who can cultivate and they are people like Liu Kang, people who have sworn to work for the government for the rest of their lives. The army who needs to defend the empire's borders and keep the immortal sects at bay is also another group of people which the royal family has bestowed a cultivation technique upon.

Unlike Liu Kang's <Dragon Fist> which focuses on defence and attacks that incapacitate their enemies, the army's cultivation technique focuses on killing moves and there are even some moves where you have to sacrifice yourself to land the killing blow!

As an elite unit of the army participating in a top secret operation, all of these soldiers are all cultivators. The only reason why we are not getting killed is because our attacks are causing the soldiers to fall all over the place or fly around, knocking into more soldiers at the back. There is no better word to describe this fight than the word "messy".

The soldiers at the back do not attack because they do not want to attack their fellow soldiers accidentally and they cannot even point their weapons at us because one of the flying soldiers might fly into the weapon. Also, Mo Di is constantly firing explosion arrows or vine arrows at the soldiers to further frustrate them.

Soldiers are trained to kill and in this savage world of cultivation, where the weak are trampled upon frequently, the army is often sent to engage in wars. There is nothing wrong with killing your enemies, but nobody wants to kill your friends. As a soldier, you sleep, eat and bathe with your comrades. You fight with your backs against each other and the worst thing you can do that will break you mentally is killing one of your own. This is the main reason why we are easily bulldozing our way through this well trained group of soldiers as if they are a mob of farmers.

"Go! Everyone move now!" Judge Cui shouts at the back.

Zhuge Pang runs to the front with his shield in front of him and shouts "Bright arrow!"

He suddenly slides on the floor, flips his body over and dunks his face into the sand while he holds his shield upwards at a forty five degree angle.

Mo Di's lets out a bright, shining arrow at Zhuge Pang's shield and shouts "Look!"

Everyone looks at the arrow and watches it flies into Zhuge Pang's shield.

*Clang!*

The arrow explodes and a bright white light that stings your eyes burns everyone's eyes.

"Why did you look at the arrow?!" Zhuge Pang shouts at us in confusion.

Our eyes sting like hell right now and I realise that these two people created a flash bang… and we are all blind for a while right now.

"You said look!" Liu Kang shouts back in frustration.

"Yeah?! Why would you shout "look" if you do not want to us to look?" Another guard shouts in frustration.

"No I want you to look, but not my friends!" Zhuge Pang shouts back in annoyance.

"How are we supposed to know who is supposed to look and who is not supposed to look when you did not say?!" Liu Kang shouts back in frustration as his eyes are burning, just like ours.

"Everyone move to your left and right!" Judge Tang shouts loudly in a commanding tone.

Everyone moves to the wall, including the few of us who are blinded right now since the guards do not recognise the voice and it sounds like a command, while we recognise the voice and just do it since we understand that Judge Tang must have a plan. Obeying orders are drilled into the bones of soldiers and these elite solders are not different. They must have thought that the rest of the squadron have arrived after finding out that the intruders are here.

Soon we hear numerous footsteps moving past us.

"Ha ha ha ha! You guys are doomed! The rest of the squadron has arrived!" one of the blind soldiers laughs loudly while crazily rubbing his eyes in an attempt to recover his eyesight.

Nobody really replies to him or cares about him as we're all trying to recover our eyesight. The soldiers are more fanatic since they are afraid they might have lost their eyesight for good, but we know that it is only a temporarily lost since Mo Di and Zhuge Pang would not cause an entire platoon of the empire's army to become handicapped.

After a minute or so, I regain my eyesight but everything is still blurry. Almost all the villagers have already run out of the cave and the footsteps we heard earlier were from the villagers running past us. What an ingenious plan.

I look at Mo Di and Zhuge Pang right now and they are laying trip wires all over the place for the soldiers to trip over when they chase us. Judge Cui who has already recovered his eyesight points to the exit when he realises I recovered my eyesight and continues knocking the soldiers out.

The ones with the higher cultivation recover faster from the flash bang and within 3 minutes, everyone has regained their sight. All the villagers are already outside of the caves running for their lives. We already told them that they should not return to their villages since it's been burned to the ground and should instead head towards Yao Feng town.

We were all cramped up in a small area since everyone squeezed into the right and left the side of the cave after Judge Tang fooled the soldiers and this situation was better for us. The trip wires that Zhuge Pang and Mo DI placed tripped soldiers who tried to move out of their area, as nobody would bother looking down at the feet when we were punching their friends in the gut over and over again in front of their faces.

About 5 minutes later and after a huge amount of gut punching, all the soldiers were unconscious and we ran out of the cave as fast as we could.

We run as fast as possible towards our carriage that is parked on the outskirts of Zi Di Mountain. Judge Cui who is the strongest person among us is not tried at all since he had to run slower so that we will stay a group starts to untie the horses' leash from the trees and give the horse some water.

Soon, we were on our carriage riding towards Yao Feng town and our duties in Long Xin village and the first mission can be considered achieved, although we did not smash the "bandits" base…
