Quinn was allotted to Spirit Garden Section, unfortunately neither his roommates nor the girl in the opposite dorm got Spirit Garden so he was the only one left out.

Quinn opted weeding the plants in the garden. Though they call it Garden it was actually more like a small forest.

Every 250 m2 he covered he would earn 5 credits; 250 m2 being the threshold. If he fails to meet the threshold then he will be penalized double the amount, that is, 10 credits.

In fact, it is one of the high paid jobs within Spirit Garden Section as weeding demands a lot of stamina. Thanks to Primal Evolution Art, he had a robust body for a 5-year old kid though he's yet awaken any of his abilities.

Even after half-a-year of experience the best Quinn could do was 1000 m2 unfortunately Oiya's Instruction class costs 15 credits. So a large chunk of his credits were diverted to the Instruction classes; leaving meagre amount for converting into Spirit Stones.

Thankfully, he had one month's buffer of free Instruction classes that allowed him to save some credits or else he would have been even too poor to afford those daily Instruction classes.

*SIGH* Quinn sighed as he thought of credits, for now he was placing all hope on Quests which is yet to open. From now and then he would open Quest sheet to check for any new Quest updates.

After few minutes Quinn reached Dusty Zephyr Island, the thick fog covering the island slowly scattered as Quinn entered; he made his way to the Spirit Garden.

Dusty Zephyr Island is divided into 2 Zones – Safe Zone and Outer Zone. Safe Zone is smaller yet secure one has all the structures of the Island from Training Tower to Assembly Hall to all the constructions related to different Jobs.

The students aren't allowed to enter the Outer Zone unless they reach Martial Novice which is also entry to the world of cultivation.

Quinn stopped before a desolate gate erect on empty plains without any walls; either sides of the gates were filled with different types of tree forming a natural barrier relieving the need for walls.

A small kid around 9 or 10-year-old was sitting on a wooden stool at the gate entrance, with his chin resting on the palms. His eyes were drooping from second to second, the kid was in his most vicious fight against the demon named drowsiness.

Though he seemed too lazy his body was well trained for a kid his age; strong biceps and well-built body. The sturdy body was utter contrast to the slothful boy on the stool.

Quinn went over to the kid and mildly coughed to wake him up. The sound broke his stupor, the kid let out an apologetic smile whilst straightened his dress.

"Good Evening!! Senior Yore, didn't you join the New Plot development project? Why're still sitting here?"

As far as Quinn could recollect this kid transferred his job few days ago and shouldn't be here anytime soon. Actually only 2 types of students takes this kind boring Deacon job – one students who have entered bottleneck, reducing the workload to concentrate on cultivation and other being the lazy ones, who choose to while away their time, instead of working hard.

Yore was obviously the second category a typical lazy bum; those were the type of people Quinn hated the most, sluggish unproductive guys. But this guy was very kind to him and help a lot of times, so Quinn didn't give him cold shoulders.

Thus apart from his roommates Yore was the only guy Quinn would have casual conversation. Moreover, his straightforward attitude made him a person worthy of being Quinn's colleague.

"Don't bring that up, they actually kicked me out."

Yore tightly clenched his hands in frustration when he thought of the humiliation he went through.

"un-huh what kicked you out"

Quinn was in utter disbelief he has never heard kicking some from a job, though there were penalties and fines for damages caused due to negligence he never came heard about stopping someone from taking tasks.

"It's that hateful Jordan he used the…."

After hearing the whole story Quinn had an intense craving for laughing out aloud; but somehow he contained himself taking Yore's wounded heart into consideration.

It turned out that Yore's laziness screw out many jobs he took giving himself a proud track record of screwing up; Jordan the student in charge of the project was willing to take his chances with Yore so naturally he kicked him out. Though Quinn found it fully logical and completely reasonable he didn't point it as it would be rubbing salt on the wound.

Quinn half-heartedly comforted Yore before getting to his plot; he returned after 3 hours of intense work, fully covered in sweat and dirt. Though his attire was sloppy and filthy his eyes were shining like stars, this was the satisfaction he got from earning through hard work, something he longed for the past 5 years.

He had to take a bath in the school public bathroom before going to Oiya's class.

Weeding is actually one of most difficult jobs in Spirit Garden; he had to carefully check the details to prevent plucking the weed as they weeds were of all sizes and varieties.

Plucking weeds weren't easy job either as all the plants grown and fertilized with special spirit matures; it gave lots of benefits while strengthening the plants which were also observed by these weeding helping them to firmly root to soil.

Quinn must exert the tons of pressure with precise control to avoid damaging the plants growing near the weeds to successfully pluck a weed. Putting out such power with extreme precision would suck anyone dry irrelevant of their stamina.

After a soothing hot bath Quinn rushed to Oiya's class; it was just a few minutes by the Flying Cloud. The class started after Quinn payed the rip off price of 15 credits with great unwillingness; in fact, his class was the highest paid among his roommates but his mastery was also the lowest amongst his friends.

The class went on as usual, Oiya appeared a white phantom and thought Quinn while solving his doubts in between the lecture. At the end she gave a demonstration, unlike the first time Quinn didn't loose himself in her magical performance; instead he was observed with extreme focus as if he was trying to etch in his mind.

One thing noteworthy, was that Grandma Oiya informed Quinn that his breakthrough to Mastery Stage 3 Greater Accomplishment was around the corner and he would gain 12 abilities after this breakthrough.

But what came next really crushed Quinn, it turned out that after Mastery Stage 3 Greater Accomplishment his Instruction Class fees was going to be increased by 5 credits becoming 20 credits per class. It was just an announcement and not an offer, thus no bargaining.

Quinn felt clouds looming over as the flew to his dorm all the happiness built with the nearing breakthrough instantly dissipated after that news. Fortunately for Quinn, Elgar had a good news waiting for him, a news good enough to completely dissolve his current gloomy face.
