There was a time when all they had to worry about is what they would play next. As children they can play around all day long without a care in the world and no one would judge them.
If they were to make mistakes there would be someone else to fix it for them and all that they'd get is a bit of scolding then that's it.
They'd always have their desserts. Always running around. Even though they were orphans they never really felt that they were out of place because they had each other.
It was only when Anna was adopted that they felt the distance of someone with a family and the one without one.
He was left there on his own, while Anna was adopted by a family leaving near the orphanage. They'd still see each other but somehow each time they could feel the change in the other.
Anna was becoming happier, her adopted parents are kind people. Her adopted father is the Superintendent of the police station, while her mother is a housewife from some powerful family.
Haruhiro on the other lost his friend. He figured that it'll only take time before she stops playing with him, stops spending time with him. He was a boy with nothing.
Time passed by and both Anna and Haruhiro grew up. Anna became a beautiful young lady. She became the student council president of their highschool, an honored student, and the number one beauty of their school.
She became some sort of revered goddess inside their highschool. Anna became the center of attention of people outside and inside the school.
That became much clearer when a boy from a rich family the same as Anna's adopted mother started courting her. A typical second generation teen who believes everyone will try to please him since he has such a powerful family.
As for Haruhiro, he grew up as a handsome young man. He has a firm muscular body yet it wasn't to the point that it was bulging. He studies in the same public school as Anna and everyone knew him as the student council president's childhood friend.
For most, that is all they knew about him. Haruhiro has mostly kept to himself and never bothered with clubs or any other things. He did part time works in order to help the orphanage and the children somehow.
Haruhiro and Anna are still friends but both could feel the gap between the two of them. They knew what the other felt but both kept quiet. No one else knew the ambiguous feelings between them yet somehow some could feel it.
One example of a person that could somehow feel these ambiguous feelings is Matsumoto Riku. The person courting Anna. He felt it and didn't like it, which is why during one of the part time jobs of Haruhiro he ordered some thugs under his control and beat him up.
This thugs of course didn't just simply beat him up, they beat him with just a single breath of life remaining within him. After the thugs beat him they left him alone and people found Haruhiro then.
On the way to the hospital, he breathe his last.
His soul unwilling to leave behind, yet powerless was dragged into the boy who would soon reincarnate into his body and was absorbed. Their souls mixed together and grew stronger. Now he is both Haruhiro and the child who died with too many regrets.
Looking at the figure of Anna that was about to leave he called for her and when she looked back at him.
"I love you Anna. Forever."
Anna heard the words she's been desperately waiting for and it made her already beautiful face to become more beautiful with that smile of her.
"I love you too, Haru. Forever."
With that she left, closing the door along with her. Haruhiro sighed then as he saw her leave.
It seems to him that the past Haruhiro was a bit like him. Someone who wouldn't fight for what he wants. That needs to change now.
He closed his eyes and then opened it, however this time the familiar holographic screen could be seen.
It displayed his current status as it should.

No one knew how it happened though, everyone believes only the Deadly Sins and their counterpart knew how but they never publicized it.
Analyzing the abilities he's gained he first looked at the Greed ability. The first one he obtained, even back then he never was able to gain one. It seems that this ability would let him gain more abilities which is basically how he gained another when obviously all others could only have one.
The part about the Sin Series dumbfounded him though. Is it because of the light that came out of Greed that he was able to reincarnate here and obtain these abilities? Or was it something else?
He decided to not think about it for now, there are other things that must be handled right now.
He looked at the second ability. This one made him confuse a lot more than the first one. How did he obtain something when he wasn't even doing anything?
Thinking back into what happened so far and analyzing it all, he had some hypotheses. However so far what he thinks is most reasonable is that the original Haruhiro would gain this ability if he didn't die.
He couldn't really prove it now anyway so he'll stop thinking about it. What he put his attention on next is the way to utilize this ability. From what he could see, by fighting others and then devouring their bodies he could gain specific attributes from them. Now, this ability is really useful for him, he could strengthen himself by using corpses.

Reminded by something he almost forgot, he once again looked at the holographic screen. The blue color of the screen is reflected into his eyes, his status could be seen. However now that his mind is focused on the screen he could see that there are different tabs on the screen.
Status, Inventory, Missions, Slaves, and Store respectively.
Status as expected shows his current level and status.
His Inventory lets him keep his stuff however its limited to 35 items. There isn't any limit in the weight but he needs to be lifting the item before he could store it in his inventory.
Missions give him tasks to complete and will reward him with the appropriate rewards based on the difficulty of the mission that was completed.
The Slaves tab is where the list of his would be slaves are listed. However in order for him to obtain slaves he would an item called a slave brand that would allow him to put a mark on his slaves.
This slave mark would allow him to control the life and death of a slave, giving him power over them and making sure they will never disobey him.
Lastly, the Store. Here he could buy items that would help him a lot. Examples of these items would be slave brands and item slot expansion tickets.
To be able to buy stuff in the store he would need GP's or Greed Points. This Greed Points can be obtained through the completion of missions.
He checked every tab and found out that the Slave and Store tab are open yet he couldn't do anything in either yet. He is both lacking any slaves and Greed Points.
Looking at this in another person's perspective, Haruhiro could tell that this is just like a game of sort. A video game. He learned of this from hearsay and original Haruhiro's memory.
If that is so, will this allow him to slowly grow stronger?
Something flashed in his eyes as a thought appeared in his mind. A thought that changed his mindset. If he can grow powerful he wouldn't need to worry about how he'd surive.
He'll just complete missions.
Since its like this, he decided to look for missions that are easily achievable.
Opening the Mission tab he saw once again the list of missions he will at one point do. However he ignored everything else and looked directly at the blinking mission.

Quest Objectives: As reincarnation of Greed, a woman by your side is necessary to have. It will show how greedy one truly is.
