Haruhiro heard the ever familiar voice inside his head. This voice sounded dead, it spoke without any hints of emotions. It is also a female's voice.
This is the voice that kept speaking inside that darkness.
"Who are you?"
[Replying to host, I am the System's AI.]
"Well then do you have a name of some sort? Also, what's the point I am mistaken with?"
[Host is mistaken about Greed's ability. All he could do is take someone's ability to make his own. The System host has is something else.]
This is the first time Haruhiro heard something else other than apathy from the AI. It had pride, it was as if it was telling him not to compare it to Greed's ability. Or at least that's what Haruhiro believes.
"Okay then, if that is so. What are you?"
[Classified information, level of clearance is not high enough.]
"..."
[Host is recommended to complete missions in order to gain a higher level of clearance.]
Haruhiro stayed quiet for a few seconds before finally answering, "Fine." He once again looked at the holographic screen and fixed his gaze at the completed mission.
"AI is a bad name, don't you have one?"
[Host can issue a name for the System.]
"Is that so? Well then..."
He recalled the things that's happened to him and finally decided what to name the System.
"Avarice. In remembrance of Greed who is like my mentor. I inherited his ability of Greed."
[Acknowledging the System's new name. Avarice has been registered. Avarice greets the Host.]

A strange warmth came out of nowhere and spread through his body before suddenly disappearing. He felt confused but ignored it for now since there doesn't seem anything wrong with his body. He ignored it because something else caught his attention.
Hidden Quest?
"Ava what's a Hidden Quest?"
Haruhiro decided to not just give the system a name but also a nickname. He decided this since he felt that the System is human-like because of her responses.
[Replying to host, Hidden Quests are types of quests that are not listed in the missions list. They are not mandatory quests like the Main Quests and Side Quests, however Hidden Quests gives more rewards to attributes unlike the other two.]
His eyes lit up when he heard how Hidden Quests would reward attribute points to him once completed.
"Is there any way to have a list of these Hidden Quests?"
[It is possible, however host would at least need 1,000 GP for one mission. Host please be advised that information can be bought inside the System's Store.]
He checked the amount of GP he currently has in his Inventory and was quickly dispirited.
30 Greed Points.
A measly amount of points that he can't even buy one information from Ava. He sighed and started to think positively. At least he wouldn't need to worry about being weak for now since the apocalypse has yet to start. With his current strength, he doesn't need to worry about ordinary humans.
With that thought in mind he switched back to the Missions tab and focused on the completed mission.
He collected the rewards for the mission by choosing the "collect" option. He then felt a strange warmth spreading in his body once again but that lasted for only a few seconds before disappearing.
Haruhiro thought that maybe it was the sign that he is being strengthened.

Haruhiro is pretty curious about this Master Ring so checked his inventory where the Master Ring is kept after the mission completion and took it out. Taking out items from the inventory is as easy as taking out an actual item from a bag.
He put his hands into the screen and when it was inside he made a grabbing motion and took out his hand. Once his hand is out he felt something on his palm.
He opened his arm only to see a silver ring on it. The silver ring looked quite ordinary at first glance but looking at it carefully he saw what seems to be runes carved on it. Other than the runes, on top of the ring is a black stone. The ring's design is simple, with the black stone embedded on it and the runes carved on the sides it gave off a feeling of mysteriousness.
[Master Ring: By dropping a drop of blood from a slave, said slave can never disobey user. Prerequisite is for a slave to be branded with a slave mark.]
He quickly put the ring on his ring finger and looked at it warily. Noticing that he's fine he fdlt relieved. He looked at the ring once again and felt something inexplicable.
Haruhiro can't believe that such a simple looking object would allow him to take control of another person. He sighed helplessly remembering how powerless he felt in front of Sloth.
Shaking his head from unnecessary thoughts he returned his attention to the missions tab and focused on a new mission.
[Main Quest: Prepare for the apocalypse.
Quest Objective: In order to survive the changing world, Greed's Reincarnation must be prepared for it. Find a proper place to stay in and collect resources.
Rewards: +3 CON, Skill Book
Status: In Progress]

Haruhiro felt nervous when he saw the countdown before the apocalypse happens. He knows very well just how chaotic this world would be once it begins.
People would be eaten, all forms of governments would collapse. Some even took this chance to turn other people's lives into their toys. They played with human lives as if it was nothing.
Just like his mother, and the girl's that took care of him after his mother died. He loathes them, those men. Now that he has an ability, he's never going to let people he cares about suffer.
He looked once again at the countdown timer. Haruhiro calculated the remaining time and figured out that he still has two weeks.
Two weeks is neither short nor long to prepare for the end of the world for him since he came from there. He knows how to avoid unnecessary dangers.
What he needs to do now however is to increase his GP. By increasing his GP, he'll be increasing the chances of his and Anna's survival.
Now what he needs to do is complete Side Quests in order to obtain more items and attribute points.
Deciding that, he looked at the Side Quests that are available and couldn't help but frown.
[Side Quest: Killing the Hypocrite
Quest Objective: As Greed, you will not allow yourself to be threatened by anyone nor will you allow someone to take what's yours. Kill Matsumoto Riku.
Rewards: +3 CON, 1 Slave Brand, 20 Greed Points

Quest Objective: In preparation for the end of the world, you must have enough resources to feed yourself.

Quest Objective: To survive the apocalypse, you must have a base camp in order to recuperate in between missions.
Rewards: 15 Greed Points, 1 Guard Sentry
Status: On Going]
The missions available are missions that he will be able to complete easily if he was still in the apocalypse but now... He's in a world where robbing would definitely get him in trouble not to mention killing someone.
What should he do to avoid trouble? This will give him a serious headache for sure. He knows that he isn't the type to scheme. Haruhiro knows himself well, he can't strategize nor he can do other things that require him to think.
In his last life, what he could do best is to be stealthy. Concealing his presence, avoiding the crowd. He would quietly and secretly collect resources from under people's noses before. He had confidence in this.
Thinking of this, some sort of plan formed inside his head. However in order for this plan to work, he would need Anna's help. He has some doubts whether she's going to work with him but he has to trust her.
He breathed in and closed his eyes, his body still hurt from the beating he got but thanks to his increased Constitution stat he's healing faster.
While doing that he checked his current attribute points.
