"It seems like the stormy night has passed." "What in the lord's name happened last night?"

A middle-aged man just opened the door of his house. He was an ordinary looking man in his late thirties, a common physique with few marks of creases on the forehead and with some signs of hair loss on the both sides of the head. He was the epitome of an average looking person.

However, he had clean shave because of his job as an advocate. He worked as an advocate in district and session court of his city. He was a busy person but whenever he had spare time, he always spent it with his lovely wife.

He never had a family that he could call his own before that's why he always yearned for a family. He never had the chance to experience the parental love as he was an orphan and he never got adopted. But he was never demoralized because of it instead he put all his heart onto his studies and cleared the bar exam on his first try.

When he was preparing for the bar exam, he met an astonishing girl. He remembered it like it was just yesterday when he first saw her in that coffee shop.

To him, it was like she was a fairy who graced this earth with her presence on a whim. Her skin was so smooth that he thought that if he touched her, it would get tainted. He had never seen a girl like her in his entire life. He fell in love with her at first sight.

But whenever he thought of the reality, his face would sink. He was working in that coffee shop to pay for his studies and there she was the uppermost class of this crooked society. He was the untouchable of the society and she was probably the most desired girl of this world.

He always felt that she was out of her reach. He felt that they were never meant to be so he tried to manage his heart by only looking from afar whenever she came to his coffee shop. It went on for about a month and then one day suddenly....

"Hey! Wanna have dinner with me when your shift ends."

A sweet melody like voice entered his ears. After recognizing the owner of that voice, he stood there like a rock. His body stiffed at that moment. He looked at her with those bewildered eyes while pointing his own finger at himself as if he was asking her "Are you referring to me?"

As if she had read his face, the girl nodded her head in agreement.

"What is wrong with this girl" He panicked. "Isn't she too forward? Dinner! We didn't even know each other's names." He tried to reply but only air came out from his opened mouth. He tried to calm himself, but his heart was beating like a drum.

'Badump, Badump, Badump.....' His heart beat was like two hundred to three hundred beats per minute at this moment. He felt that his heart would burst apart from his body if he tried to remain silent for one more moment. "I..... I...." He was trying his best to reply her again.

The girl's face sank after seeing his facial expression. She thought she was being rejected. She turned her body and was going to leave but suddenly a low stammering voice came into her ears.

"My..... My Shift... ends at six in the evening." He put his all in trying to answer her. His hard work could be seen on his countenance in the form of beads of sweat. He was sweating profusely even in the air conditioned cafe. The girl turned her head towards him and an enchanting smile formed on her face.

"Wow!" The word came into his mind involuntarily after seeing her smile. He felt as though he got lucky to watch a beautiful painting which can only exist into the imagination of a master class painter. It soothed his heart, mind and soul.

He lost control over all his senses. He couldn't hear anything beside her sweet melodic voice, he couldn't see anything beside her enchanting smile and he couldn't smell anything beside the low seductive fragrance coming from her presence. He was bewitched.

"Hi! I am Renu." An exquisite hand came towards him with a smile on her face.

"Hi...Hi....Hi....." He held her hand with both of his hands like he will never let it go till the day he'll die. He had lived this moment in his fantasies for countless times over these past few weeks but he had never thought in his wildest dreams that it would become reality.

"And..." Her brows shot upwards in asking manner.

"Oh... myself Vivek..... Vivek Malhotra." He replied while holding her hand. He looked into her eyes unintentionally. He immediately got immersed in them. It felt as though he was being hypnotized by her deer eyes.

"So, Six pm! It's a date." Renu Said and tried to pull his hand back a little bit.

"Oh.....Yeah, Yeah, it's a date." Vivek woke up from his hypnotized state and said. He let her hand go. He forced a smile on his stiffed face as he looked towards her. He just couldn't believe his luck.

Renu turned around and went out of the coffee shop. Vivek looked at her departing figure until her figure went out of the reach of his eyes. Then he murmured to himself "Well, it was smooth. It went very smoothly. Good Vivek... You did well." He patted himself on the back and turned to attend another customer.

He was smiling involuntarily. Did the god of luck finally choose to be on his side now? He liked the girl and wanted to ask her out but thought that they were poles apart in this society. He thought that they were never meant to be. So, he gave up but who knew that the girl herself would come to ask him on a date. He was the luckiest man on this planet.

He went to the date after his shift ended and they had a great time. They visited the Ghats of the river. It was beautiful and peaceful. They went to amusement park and rode the biggest ferris wheel that they could found. Vivek was afraid of heights yet he still kept all that fear in and rode it like a man.

After all that they went to a nice restaurant for dinner. It was a perfect first date where she smiled a lot and he always tried to make her smile more.

At the end of the night he booked a cab and escorted her to her dorm. He got to know that she was in the same college as him. She lived in the college dorm with her friends.

"I should never ever let this girl be sad" The thought came to his mind while he saw her smiling and waving at him from the dorm.

After a number of dates, they were in love. Time flew and when he passed the bar exam and became a lawyer, he proposed to her.

On a nice evening, in that coffee shop where they first met, he got on his knees and proposed to her with a diamond ring which he got from spending all his savings. He was preparing for this for a long time and the time came as his heart was beating as loudly as it could.

A drop of tear rolled down on her cheeks after seeing him on his knees, proposing to her. She was so happy that she couldn't turn those emotions in words. She felt as though she had everything now. But when she thought of her family, a hint of sadness formed on her face.

After seeing that hint of sadness, Vivek's heart trembled. He hurriedly held her hand into his and asked in a soft voice "What happened." Obviously, he didn't know about her rich family.

He knew that she came from a rich household but not to the extent of being an unusually filthy rich family. She never talked about her family in front of him in details. So, he was confused. He thought she had a change of mind. His heart was trembling inside, but he put on a normal face and looked straight into her eyes.

"Nothing, I am just happy." Renu replied while wiping her tears with her right hand. She put her left hand forward and said with a bright smile on her face. "Let's get married."

After hearing that sentence, all his doubts, confusion and fear of rejection were erased from his heart. He felt as though he could be the happiest person in this world at this moment. He put the ring on her finger and picked her up into his arms by her waist and twirled continuously. They were both smiling. He could tell that it was the best moment of his life.

After that, because of her rich background they had some problems with their marriage. Her family wanted an influential son in-law. In her family, marriage was never considered as a match of two hearts, but it considered as a business proposal to acquire and merge two companies.

She had seen enough of this business propaganda in her early life. She just couldn't take it anymore, so she left her house to chase his passion for teaching while doing some part time work, not depending even for a dime on her family. There she met Vivek.

She was genuinely happy for the first time in her life and she wasn't going to give up on that because of her greedy family. She loved Vivek, she loved him with her whole heart. He was the only one who loved her for the person she was, not for the wealth she possessed. She made up her mind and finally broke her ties with her greedy family.

Vivek registered their marriage in court and at twentieth of March they transformed from mere lovers to husband and wife.
