When Jess' opened her eyes, it's Adam's face she saw...she was cradled by his loving arms in her bed.

"I hate you!" she punched him on his chest repeatedly.

He welcome her punches without evading them.

"Am so sorry, Jess." His voice was cracking, he got misty-eyed. He stroked her messy hair.

She tried to stop herself from sobbing. It hurt so much when he wants to break up with her and he had taken her completely off guard.

"Is this all I get from loving you? How cruel of you!" she shouted at him. Pouring all her hearts torments in her words.

"It's all for the best, Jess," he insisted, even though he was dying inside.

She broke away from his hold, she sat on the opposite edge of the bed, creating a reasonable distance away from him.

"What is the reason? Y-you don't love me anymore?" she almost choked on her words.

Adam shook his head vigorously. "No! It's not that...you know I love you so much!"

Her face twisted in pain. "But why? Why we should break up? Is our love not enough?"

Adam, sighed deeply.

"Our relationship is wrong in the very beginning. You are my brother's future wife. I betrayed him on the back. I disobeyed my parents command to take care of you in behalf of my brother. It's all my fault, Jess. Am so sorry I drag you along with me. I'm selfish! I'm feeling guilty all this time. I can't bear it anymore." There was a huge amount of anguished on his face. He was having a hard time reconciling the conflict between his hearts desire and his minds logic.

Jessy bit her lip in exasperation."For your information, there was never me and your brother. We never meet and he was never my boyfriend, it's you that am in love with, you never betray him! We never betray anyone!"

They were engulfed in a palpable silence...each of them buried in deep thoughts. The silence was torturing them both.

"Y-you're...sure about this?" she asked him after she can no longer bear the silence.

Adam did not speak. He just stared at her face, not even blinking, as if trying to memorize her face.

Jessy inhaled sharply, so, it's all about his family the main reason of their break up. She understood his dilemma, torn between his family and his love for her.

His anguished was showing on his face.

She slowly walked towards him, then she hold both his hands in her own. "I understand. So, it's goodbye then?"

"Y-yes..." he said slowly, not looking at her face.

She planted a kiss on his lips. "Always remember, I love you so much. I did not regret everything..."

Adam stood up and walk out from her room.

She followed his retreating form, tears streaming down on her face. "Goodbye my first love," she talked aloud.

She cried some more, even when the night had already fallen, she's still crying.

There goes her first ever broken heart.

The next succeeding days were very awful for Jess...

She roamed around the mansion on her own. She misses Adam's company badly.

She noticed that he no longer eat meals with her and Nana Aida in the dining room.

He seldom ventures outside from his room and she has not seen him since the last time they talk in her room. She does wonders how he is faring with their break up?

Is he feeling miserable just like her?

Did he also cry like her?

Did he also miss her badly?

He made himself as scarce as possible, to make sure they will forget each other soon? To make them recover and move on fast? Is that his intention?

How could she forget him so easily? Her heart refused to forget him.

She would like to check on him in his room several times, but in the end, she decided not to. They already have broken up, so what is the point?

"So you two broken up already?" Nana Aida asked her one afternoon.

"Yes, Nana," she answered flatly.

The older woman sighed. "I think it's good for both of you..."

She no longer utters a single word.

Nana Aida saw the vast amount of pain in her eyes. "Life must go on girl," she said, patting her on the head.

"How is he doing, Nana? Did you see him?" she finally said.

"No. He just said that he will no longer be eating meals with us. That he will always stay in his room. He said that you two have broken up, so I did not ask for more. I respect his wishes," said Nana Aida.

Jess' closed her eyes, trying to stop the fresh tears from falling.

She found it hard to move on...her heart was simply refusing to move on!

~Two Weeks Gone Fast~

Adam has been self-imposing isolation in his room. He hides himself in his room the whole day and visits Jessy on her room every night as soon as she turn off her light, he will sneak inside her room passing through the wall, unnoticed by her. She's been crying every night. Her sobbing was like daggers stabbing his tormented heart, carving fresh pain each and every day.

He would like to cradle her in his embrace, but he prevents himself from doing so. She won't be able to forget him easily if she keeps seeing him. So he has to keep his distance, to allow her to move on easy.

He never expected that breaking up with Jess can be so painful.

Sure~he would immerse himself in playing video games with his online friends all day long. But no matter what he does, his mind always come back to her. She's like a shadow always hovering at the back of her mind.

He would always watch her photos in her smartphone, missing her bright smile, the smell of her hair, missing her giggles and her laughter. He often watched her swimming alone from afar, attaining to her garden of roses and swinging alone with his hand-made birthday present for her.

He's thoroughly tormented and it's slowly killing him inside. He thought that he could wipe away his guilt by breaking up with her, but the guilt never goes away, only the pain remains.

It was already 8:00 o'clock in the evening. Anytime soon it will be Jess' bedtime. Time for his night visit. He actually looks forwards with his night visits in her room, it somehow makes him feel alive and much closer to her.

The moment the time reaches 11:00 o'clock, he gets ready to enters her room.

He was surprised and alarmed when he found out that she was not in her room, her bed is empty!

Jessy is missing!

He hurriedly went downstairs and ask Nana of Jess' whereabouts.

The older woman was also surprised and felt worried. "She was eating dinner with me earlier. I thought she already went upstairs to her room," she said in an anxious tone.

"Where could she be?" he was getting worried about her. "I will search for her Nana, please don't worry, okay? I will call you if I already found her," he hurriedly goes outside of the mansion and starts looking for her in the lake.

She's not in the lake, not in her rose garden either, nor in the swing area.

There is one place left to check and that is the woods.

He teleported himself quickly into the woods.

There she is...

Sitting alone in one of the benches near the middle of the clearing. Her back facing his. He felt relieved.

"Jess..." He calls her name softly.

"Y-you're here?" she quickly glanced at him. She misses him so much, she misses his voice.

"Am worried about you, please, let's go home now." He walks towards her.

Her face is full of sadness, she looked into his eyes. "Adam, I can't go on like this. I can't move on. I can't forget you. I can't forget us!" her anguished was plastered in her face in full force.

"Please try harder, Jess," he pleaded.

"No! I can't. But there is only one way I can forget you..." She wanted badly to be released from this excruciating pain she experienced right now.

"H-how?" he asked.

"Erase my memory of us. Remove all traces of our happy memories from my brain. It's the only way to forget you," she said with a tone of finality in her voice.

He stiffened upon hearing the words she just said.
