The following day, break time, late afternoon.

Jessy entered the human's living quarters. She was greeted with the piercing cry of the baby.

Hazel was already in tears while rocking the baby in her arms.

"Hey, what's wrong with the baby?" Jessy asked.

"Hi Jess, ah...um ...I dunno what's going on with this son of mine...he's been crying for more than one hour already...I can't understand why..." Hazel answered with a worried face.

"Oh, so, where is Perry?" she asked since she can't see him inside.

"He's inside the bathroom, taking a bath," Hazel responded.

Jessy was looking alternately at Hazel and the crying baby.

Hmm...

How to make the baby quiet?

Ah, she got it!

She had a splendid idea!

Jessy grows a small ball in her palm, it's feathery soft to touch, then she turned it into a flashing ball producing different soft colors. She placed the ball in front of the face of the baby, it stops crying immediately and trying to reach the magical ball. She eagerly put the ball into the baby's hands..."Don't worry, the ball is very soft and fluffy...your son would love to play with it and his sensitive skin won't be scrape by it," she explained to Hazel.

Hazel looked at Jessy feeling grateful for her help. "Thank you so much, Jess for the magical toy! My son adores it..."

Jessy was beaming, glad that she was able to please the little tot with her magical creation. "I will wait for Perry to get out of the bathroom. I just want to inform him that he will be the first to go home tomorrow then you and your son will go home next week," she explained.

"Ah, okay. He will be getting out of the bathroom soon," Hazel replied.

A few minutes later, Perry gets out of the bathroom fully clothed holding a towel in his right hand.

"Hi...Ma'am Jess!" the smiling Perry greeted the visitor.

"Hi... Perry...I just want to inform you that I will send you home tomorrow near midnight, so be ready. By the way, I just want to ask you something...are you sure you want to go home to that Resto Bar? Don't you have a home nearby?" Jessy asked.

Perry smiled. "Yes. Ma'am, Jess. The owner of that Resto Bar is my friend. He allowed me to sing on his bar every night and he also let me stay in one of the rooms at the back of that bar. During the darkest moments of my life that bar gives me a new reason to continue living. So, my singing there every night is therapeutic for me, it gives me a new meaning to my life..." he explained.

Jessy nods her head, she no longer wants to interrogate Perry about his turbulent past that sends him to that bar and where did he come from. Her only responsibility is to bring him safely to where he wants to be. "Okay, I will check out the address of the bar later in the town 'coz I wasn't able to visit it last night due to some unforeseen event..."

"Thank you in advance, Ma'am Jess!" Perry said.

"No worries, glad to help! I'm leaving now," Jessy said to the couple then she went to the baby's side and smiled, her fingers touched his chubby feet lightly. "Enjoy the toy...baby...bye-bye..." she walked out of the door quietly.

Jessy was preoccupied while walking in the hallway. She remembered that vampire woman that she had saved last night. How many vampires are like 'her' hiding in the shadow? Scattered all over the country trying to survive day by day. Probably a lot! The vampires hiding in the safety and protection of the Facility are indeed lucky compared to 'others' scattered out there.

She can only help the ones that cross her path, as for others...she's sorry for them...her hands were full and there are so many things that required her attention...saving random people and vampires only happens if she was at the right time and the right place.

Her priority is to transform all the vampires residing in the Facility into humans and it's still a long way to go.

Jessy heads back to the clinic to resume blood transfusion.

...

It was already 9:00 in the evening when Jessy exited the clinic.

She went to her room and picked up her sling bag and put two thousand dollars on it. She promised her mother to buy two packs of cashew nuts in the city, but she will go to the town first and check the Resto Bar where Perry used to work as an in-house singer before he was abducted by the savage vampires.

With her schedule already in place, she wastes no time and made herself invisible then initiated the teleportation in her mind.

She landed in a dark alley near the public park and made herself visible.

The park nearly deserted due to the time, she only saw few souls hanging in there, random lovers swinging in the swing and whispering sweet nothings to their ears.

She left the area and strolled casually into the heart of the town.

The sky was bright and clear and there's no impending rain, it's a good time to walk in a relaxed manner and just soaked one's self with the busy activities of her surroundings.

People are walking along with her in the sidewalk...cars passing by...sidewalk vendors are busy selling their wares.

Finally, Jessy arrived at the 'Sing & Dine' Resto Bar. She smiled while glancing above at the signage of the establishment. Feeling curious, she went inside. She found a few vacant tables in the corner. She went to the table number five the farthest from the center.

She glanced at the couple singing in the small elevated platform in the center. They were belting a romantic ballad sung by two famous artists which were titled, 'Beauty and the Beast'. Jessy was blown away by the singers' beautiful voice which breathed more life and sweetness to the music.

She picked up the menu and ordered Ground Beef Tacos and pineapple juice from the waitress that happens to pass by at her table.

Jessy continues to listen to the live sweet music while her eyes scanned the inside the resto-bar. The restaurant and bar occupy the whole ground floor which has a comparable size of a basketball court. The second floor is where the owner and his family must have taken residency.

After the smiling waitress delivered her order, Jessy began munching on her delicious tacos...A minute later she drowned the tacos with the pineapple juice. Satisfied with her evening snacks...she was ready to leave the place.
