"Please don't kill my brother, spare his life. I realized that in the eyes of the king and everyone else my brother already died. Only you and I, Mahlia and the kids know the truth that he was still alive. How about I will erase his memory of you? Erase everything and the only thing left in his memory is his childhood memory before my mother died..." Roden suggested.

"What—? Are you going to do it to your brother?"

"Yes, I will do it even if against my will. If it is the only thing that can pacify your anger towards my brother and save his life at the same time, then I'll do it!" he offered desperately.

"You're going to turn your brother's subconscious into a child?" she asked in disbelief.

"Yes. It's better to see him that way than see him dead. That way I can take care of him and be there by his side all the time," he stated sadly.

Jessy was silent for a minute or two. "I will think about your suggestion. Once I decided in favor of your offer, I will return him to you. But right now I will keep him for safety purposes. We both know that once the king and others will know that your brother is still alive and we conspired to hide the truth we will both suffer, especially you and your clan," she reminded him.

"I agree," Roden said gloomily. Everything would have been good if his brother did not attempt to erase Jessy's memory. But he also wonders if the king will offer them peace if he knows that his bother was still alive? Probably not. It looks like the peace that they achieved and enjoyed right now required his brother to be the sacrificial lamb. He sighed inwardly.

Jessy watched Roden's crestfallen face. "What are you thinking?"

"I'm thinking that to keep the peace and security of my people my brother has to stay dead forever, that is the price I'm willing to pay," he finally said in a voice filled with sadness and sorrow.

Jessy can sympathize with Roden's sorrow, being Jagger's brother it must be hard for him to plan all this scheme to his brother. A painful stab on Jagger's back. But in fairness to Roden, he is willing to sacrifice his last family member for the good of all.

"Jess, can you alter a person's image?" he suddenly asked.

She nodded her head. "Why?"

"I can erase my brother's memory and you can alter his image to that of someone else, this way the king and others will no longer remember him," Roden suggested. He was trying all means possible just to save his brother's life. Convincing Jessy is not easy but he was hoping that she will be lenient enough to give in to his demands without irritating her. "This way you can have your revenge with my brother. In the end, what will hurt my brother the most is for his memory and his image to be taken away and replaced with somebody else. He loses his identity that way," Roden elaborated.

Jessy breathed deeply, it's torture watching Roden's face, she can sense his desperation to save his brother's life, it's a pure love towards his sinful rebellious brother. "I will think about your suggestion...but don't raise your hopes high...after all his life is already mine to decide with," she reminded him.

Roden's face fell. "I'm sorry, Jess."

"I will take my leave now. I just come here to check if you guys are okay," she said.

"Jess, I just want to ask you this...where did you hide the bottle?"

"In my room," she answered.

"W-what if somebody will accidentally open the bottle?"

"You said that the lid of the bottle can not be opened by anyone unless the bottle will be smashed into pieces, Jagger will come out? Does it work that way?" she asked curiously.

"I don't know exactly how the bottle can hold if a powerful person like you would attempt to open it up. Would it open or not? The only thing I know is that I sealed it with my power. It depends if your power is stronger than mine. All I know is that if my brother is taken out of the bottle forcibly without my magic incantation he will die," he explained.

"Alright, I will go now. I will probably be back some other day," she said. She initiated the teleportation process in her mind and disappeared from the room instantly.

After landing inside her room, Jessy went to the closet and dug up the bottle from the pile of clothes. It must be awful down there surrounded by pitch dark all the time. 'I will expose you to some light today,' she murmured.

She stared at the bottle and saw Jagger looking at her from the inside, she saw his pathetic face as if pleading for her to open the bottle and set him free, she ignored him.

Sighing, she placed the bottle at the top of the cabinet among some of her stuff. Satisfied, she exited her room going to the clinic to resume blood transfusion.

Up in the cabinet.

Jagger was overwhelmed with joy upon seeing Jessy's lovely face again and thankfully she no longer hides the bottle beneath the pile of clothes.

Right now, he can see plenty of light because Jessy did not turn off the light in the room when she went out. She must be thinking of him. He was feeling overjoyed, he almost has forgotten that he was still a prisoner inside the bottle.

But still, this is a much better condition compared to the pitch darkness that surrounded him inside the cabinet.

Jagger stood up.

He grinned when he caught a glimpse of her bed below. Perfect! He was grinning like an idiot. Then a moment later he scolded himself for thinking such naughty thoughts on the woman that holds his dear life.

Sigh.

If there is an opportunity that he can get out of the bottle he will distance himself from Jessy so that he can completely sever his crazy obsession towards her. But he will apologize first before he will disappear from her life completely.

He had everything planned out already.

Now he is waiting for that one moment in time to get out of the bottle and began his journey in the world of the mortal and live as one.

'Jessy please forgive me, please get me out of here!' he was chanting over and over again, he was hoping that she can hear his voice wherever she is right now.

Two hours later.

Dinner time.

Jessy and her mother met in the canteen.

"Daughter, can you tell me now of the escapade you had these past few days? How did you found out the cave where Roden and his clan where hiding" Sarah asked.
