Jessy sprinted excitedly out of the clinic after the blood transfusion. She immediately went to her room wanting to see Adam.

She pushed open the door and behold, Adam was lying in her bed, his eyes closed, pretending that he was in the estate of deep sleep.

Jessy climbs into the bed and lay her head on his taut stomach. Then she looked into his shut eyes. "A-are you sleep?"

Adam smiled and open his eyes. "Not really...come here...let's cuddle for a moment because I have something important to tell you," he said in a reserved tone.

Jessy heard the underlying tension in his voice. She raised her face and stared at his eyes. "Is there something wrong? I mean, you sound different today," she commented.

Adam wrapped his arms around her waist drawing her closer to him. "I will finally stay in the Facility starting this coming Friday," he broke the news to her.

Jessy's face brightened up. "Wow! That's awesome! I can finally see you every day," she smiled at him happily.

"But, I'm going to stay in the prison room with my brother Zain," he interjected.

Immediately, Jessy's smile disappeared from her face. She looked at him in shock.

"No! You can't! You can't possibly agree to his demands! I won't allow it!" she exploded in protest.

Adam released a deep sigh. "I'm so sorry, Jess. I'm doing it for your good. I know that you desperately wanted to dissolve the marriage you had with my brother. I'm going to fulfill your wish. My brother promised me that the moment I will stay in the prison room with him, he will announce to everyone that the two of you are no longer living under one roof as husband and wife. I just need to show him that I'm serious about the agreement. It's the only way I know how that can set you free from my brother's clutches. I have to do it, it's now or never," he explained.

"And what are the other reason-?" she asked bitterly.

Adam swallowed the lump on his throat. "I want to salvage my relationship with my brother. By agreeing to his demands, I can set you free and repair the sibling relationship that was damaged by our relationship. It's like hitting two birds with one stone," he elaborated further.

Jessy bit her lip in distress not liking his reasons. "You will do it at the expense of our relationship? Are you breaking up with me just to please your brother?" she pouted, the pain was etched on her face.

"Huh? Who says we will break up?" he lifted an eyebrow.

She looked at him. "You mean to say-?

Adam sighed. "Look, I have to do this. I will give in to the demands of my childish brother so that I can free you from him. Then my brother and I can start all over again and repair our fractured relationship. I will stay in that room for two years, just to appease his anger and make him believe that I am serious with our agreement. Many things can happen in two years. Who knows... maybe during those times he can develop real feelings towards Hannah especially that they already have their child, they might get married for real. Then we can also have a happy ending. Nothing will be resolved if all of us will keep rubbing our ego's and pride. We need to sacrifice something to achieve something. Do you understand me, Jess?"

Jessy continues to pout. She can't even come up with a much better solution to their dilemma.

"Do you have a solution in your mind?" he asked.

Jessy shook her head a few times. "I'm sorry I can't think of anything right now," she admitted dejectedly.

"See-? My solution is the real deal. Don't worry it's only two years of waiting. Within the allotted time, maybe you already converted all the vampires into humans then you will be free from your duties and responsibilities, then we can finally elope and join Peter Pan into Neverland," he attempted a joke.

Jessy smiled a little. "But...I still don't agree!" she grumbled again.

Adam sighed and kissed her cheeks affectionately. "I love you so much and my love will never change during the two years of staying inside the prison room," he promised her. "The only thing I am afraid of is that you might eventually forget me and you will find another guy to love. That kind of terrifying situation will surely kill me," he voiced out his fears into the open.

She looked at him with her brows furrowed together.

"That would never happen!" she denied vehemently.

Adam saw the seriousness and sincerity on her face. "That's good! You and I should be together until the end because we belong to each other, not even death can separate us," he said dramatically and poetically.

Jessy sighed. "I will be waiting for you for two years-?"

"Yes, can you do that for me? Can you preserve our love, Jess?" he asked in a serious tone.

"Of course, I will. But make sure it's only two years, okay-? If it will have an extension, then I won't wait for you anymore," she warned him.

Adam smiled. "That's my girl! Don't worry, two years is far too long already. I will be expecting a miracle to happen before two years will come to end," he said in a voice filled with optimism.

"So, what will be the set up between us? Can I still see you inside that room or you will visit me in my room once in a while?" she asked feeling hopeful. "I won't mind if you only see me once a week no matter how brief it is. I will treasure our togetherness even if it's only a few minutes or one hour," she suggested.

Adam sighed. "I will see what can I do. Just don't pressure me so much in the first five months, okay?"

"Why?"

"Because I want to make sure my brother will free you as early as possible. If he can't see my sincerity then he won't release you and all my efforts are wasted in vain. He's still suspicious of my motives. We have to dance along with the music that he was playing to accomplish something worthwhile in the end," Adam explained.

Jessy's nostrils flared up. "Your brother is nuts! I was simply blown away how childish he is!"

Adam scratches his head. "I know. But we have to take things slowly. We will play my brother's game for a while then after he released you, maybe we can tweak the game to our advantage. Even a tiny bit of opportunity would be good, am I right?"

Jessy closed her eyes, she was already imagining the five torturous months without seeing and talking to Adam. Can she endure the loneliness and longing? Even if she can't, she has to endure everything because Adam wants her 100% cooperation. The only way to support him is to do nothing. And besides, she can't persuade him anymore to abandon his idea, his decision was already set in hard stone.

So be it.

"Okay, I will agree to everything you said. Don't worry, I won't demand so much of your time. This time I will assure you, you will have my cooperation 100%," she finally relented and smiled at him, trying to mask the sadness that was creeping up on her eyes.

Adam hugged Jessy tightly. "I'm so sorry, Jess," he whispered in her ears.

Jessy released a deep sigh. The situation is getting frustrating and depressing. Hopefully, the solution will come quickly or else she will become desperate and she will do something stupid that she will only regret later on.

The couple hugged each other desperately savoring the last remaining time that was left for them.
