The officers' cars were heading to the woods, followed by Oliver's.

They arrived in the woods fifteen minutes later.

Jessy leads the rest of the officers to the specific area where the serial killer buried the body.

"This is the area where the high school girl's body was buried," Jessy pointed her index finger on the ground below her feet.

"Okay, men, start digging!" the police officer said to the two guys who wore civilian clothing.

The two men holding shovels began digging on the area where Jessy positively pointed as the missing girl's resting place.

After a few minutes of digging the decomposed body of the girl slowly comes into view.

Everyone paused for a moment...even the men who dug the earth stood still.

This girl could be anyone's sister or daughter.

Sad, another painful death of an innocent soul who's life was tragically cut before it reaches its full potential.

Everyone who gathered around the girl was feeling sorrowful.

The sight is depressing...

The men wearing gloves placed the body bag on the ground near the freshly dug earth and slowly lifted the decomposed body and place it in the body bag.

Both Jessy and Oliver looked away.

"Shall we go back to the car now? I think we're done here," said Jessy.

Oliver nodded his head. He glanced at the officer. "We will wait in the car," he informed them.

"Okay." The police in-charge nodded his head.

Jessy and Oliver retraced their steps back to the vehicle and waited for the rest of the men to file up in their car.

Oliver glanced at Jessy.

"Can you imagine the agony of the parents of that girl when she went missing? They've been going crazy trying to find her everywhere and yet no news about her whereabouts. The parents can't make up their mind if their teenage daughter eloped with a young man, or kidnap by someone they know, kidnap by a human smuggling syndicate and brought outside the country..." he said.

Jessy grimaced.

"Only to find out that she's been killed and buried by a serial killer in the middle of the woods in the same city. Worst, the parents must have been still hoping to see their daughter still alive and come back home until today," she finished Oliver's statement.

Oliver was shaking his head vigorously. "This is wrong! This is pure evil! I can't understand why would someone rape and kill innocent people just because they wanted to?" he asked in disgust. He loathed serial killers the most because they can kill many victims without getting caught for a long time.

Jessy grinds her teeth.

"There are evil people among us. Some evil people kill other people without guilt and remorse and that is the scary part, you will never know who they are until they are caught. They can be your neighbor, your friend, your acquaintance, your lover, your wife, your husband, your relatives, sister or brother, or worst your very own parents or children. There are different types of killers in our society, they can be silent and deadly or they can be a one-time murderer on the spur of the moment killing spree due to extreme anger, jealousy, influenced by illegal substances, and many other reasons," she elaborated.

After a while, they saw the men getting out of the woods carrying the cadaver and placed it inside the vehicle.

Then afterward... the entourage proceeds towards the lake five kilometers from the house.

Since there was no traffic on the highway they managed to arrive at the lake in a short time. They need to get there fast before nightfall because it will be extremely difficult to find a cadaver during nighttime in the murky river.

By 3:00 in the afternoon they finally reached the river which was located a bit far from the highway.

Everyone get off from their vehicles and sauntered towards the river's edge.

Jessy stared at the body of water in front of her. The serial killer scouted this area first before he dumped the body of his victim. But when he dumped the body it's already dark, but there was a full moon during that night he tossed the body to the river, it's enough to help Jessy pinpoint the exact area where the serial killer dumped the body.

She walked towards the north side of the lake and pointed to the area where she last saw the body dumped by the killer. She remembered that specific tree facing that area where the woman's body was being thrown into the water. "Over there, that area facing that tree, search her body in that area..." she told the men.

The men, now wearing a bodysuit and holding sticks get down into the water from the river banks and waded into the area facing the tree.

After a few minutes of searching here and there...they finally found the decomposing body.

Jessy closed her eyes tightly and said a prayer for the dead woman. She can't bear watching the woman's body taken out of the water. True, she may already have killed several people in her life but they're bad people, she will never kill innocent people like this one.

She opened her eyes and took a deep breath.

Pictures were taken on the decomposed body and around the area where the body was taken for record purposes.

Jessy walked towards the car, Oliver followed her.

She entered the vehicle and Oliver slid into the driver's seat.

"Four families will be notified today that their missing love one's body has already been found. This will bring enormous relief to the grieving families who waited for so long to find their missing family members. It may be painful news at first, but at least they can finally able to grieve formally starting from today, and accept the painful truth then move on," Oliver said in a painful voice.

Jessy released a deep sigh. "This is a piece of sorrowful news for the family but it's also the one thing that can make their mind rest in peace after learning the horrible truth. I hope this sad news will help heal their wounds quickly," she murmured in profound sadness.

"Amen to that," Oliver responded with a gloomy face.

The men finally loaded the body bag into the vehicle.

They waited until all the police officers boarded their vehicle and began leaving the vicinity of the river.

"Where are we going next?" Jessy asked.

"I'm waiting for a call from the Police Station if we are still needed in there specifically from Chief Jackson," Oliver replied.

"So, what happens to the guy that the sketch artist has drawn yesterday?" she asked.

"That guy's face is already posted as wanted, and he can no longer get out of the country because the immigration people will stop him and he will get arrested. The wise thing the guy can do is hide, and I'm sure he already did that the moment he heard about the hostage-takers already arrested. So, yeah, he is now hiding somewhere and he will be added to the list of our assignments," Oliver said with a smile.

"Just awesome!" Jessy muttered to herself.

Oliver looked at her. "Great power comes with great responsibility, am I right?"

Jessy laughed. "Yeah...yeah...yeah...I get it! Let's go now," she told him.

Oliver started the engine of his car and left the riverside going back to the city.
