"Alright then, I won't obliviate them," I said to Richard, who has withdrawn his divine sense.

Just when I was going to return to my normal state, I felt something blazing at my forehead.

It was the divine eye of Pangu, which chose to appear at this time. As it blazed, my legs couldn't hold me anymore, and I dropped on my knees, screaming with agony.

Above me, a black whirlwind started to form. From it, a beautiful black bird emerged, and it released a cry that resonated in the sky.

When I heard that cry, the divine eye slowly disappeared from my forehead, and everything returned to normal. My hair dropped, and my eyes were again blue.

In my sea of consciousness, I faced Pangu then said, "Thank you. You saved my life today."

"That is my duty, lad," said Pangu, "I cannot let you die only after five years of knowing you."

I nodded and said, "Now I know that you care about me at least."

"Who said THAT?!"

"You don't need to say it to let me know."

"Yeah yeah, you just talk."

In the outside, the black bird has turned into a young man with the appearance of..... Well, me. However, that wasn't myself, it was Richard, who had gracefully came here to save me.

He offered me his hand, and I took, to lift me up. He touched my forehead and said, "It is getting worse, you should have never done this."

"I had no choice," I looked at him helplessly.

"It isn't his fault, Richard," said Pangu, "It is mine."

The two of us looked at the sword in astonishment. Richard raised his eyebrow and said, "Is this the Pangu that I know?"

"Yes, I am Pangu. Why do you ask?"

"I am just surprised that you have admitted something like this, it is not in your nature. Are you sure that you are Pangu?"

Richard said that sentence to prvoke the anger of Pangu, but the latter said nothing. When he was done, Richard turned to me and said,"Return to China, you'll have to continue your quest."

"What about them?" I asked while pointing at my friends, "The scene they have just seen will crumble their minds to dust."

"Sometimes, the mortal brains can withstand something that the cultivators wouldn't. You shouldn't underestimate their mind powers. But if you find that it affected them gravelly, then just erase the scenes from their minds."

"Alright." With this, I switched between the bodies and was back in China in a blink.

"Why do you look so ashen?" asked Tulip as soon I was back.

"Well," I said, trying hard not to worry her, "I was on a near death situation."

"What?!"

"Don't worry, I am fine now. It is just the backlash of the accident hasn't gone by now."

"Your word?"

"My word." In truth, I was dying from the pain, but I didn't want Tulip to worry. I felt bad lying at her, but for sure it was the best.

We camped there for some days, in order to strengthen my condition. After I became a bit better, we collected our things and went on our way.

Suddenly, a heard a low sound behind us. I sent a mental message to Tulip to warn her, then marched slowly towards thr sound. Behind a bush, there was a baby beast.

It was a baby lion, with black furr, and pointed teath. Two wings sprouted from its back. It was playing with a small rock, while flipping its wings happily.

I motioned for Tulip to come, indicating to her that there is no danger. When she was beside me, she smiled at the beast and went down to caress its fur.

However, the beast took her friendly act in an impulsive way. It came and started to bit her fingers, but I let Tulip retreat. The beast continued to roar, but we didn't pay much attention.

"Pangu," I said, "What kind of beast is this?"

"Dear father of Choas!" said Pangu, "This a Winged Lion!"

"A Winged Lion?"

"It is one of the most powerful beasts in my universe! However, it was extinct thousands of years ago! How come there is a baby here?"

"I should be the one to ask you this."

"I don't know, lad. But if you can get this beast, then you are extremely fortunate."

"It has parents, doesn't it?" asked Tulip.

"Perhaps, but I think you should ask the ruler of the mount first."

"And who is this ruler?" I asked.

"I am!" said a voice.
