Chapter 44 (The Necromancer)
“Lin Fan…” As I was ready to charge forward, Murong Shan Shan pulled and stopped me abruptly.
I turned back and smiled, “No need to say be careful, I’ll be fine.”

Just one wave of an attack had chipped off 300 health from me! Including the attack of the Necromancer, my 1110 Health had dropped to 586 in an instant. Fortunately, the attack speed of the Skeleton Warriors were slightly slower, and the magic attack of the Necromancer was interrupted by Shan Shan and me. The short 10 seconds cooldown of the [Combo] was sufficient for us to restrain the magic attack. But some small mistakes in the fights had forced me to gulp down a red potion each time to survive.

Murong Shan Shan was quite silent. While attacking with her [Heavy Strike], she unhappily said, “Let’s just continue attacking, if we die, so be it. Let’s just see if we can bring the Necromancer down with us. If we succeed, then the mission is accomplished.”

The Necromancer who was supposed to fall suddenly raised both of its hands, its entire body was then engulfed by a purple veil of light.
“Oh my God! This BOSS is going to self-destruct! Nearby players and monsters will lose 800 Health upon contact!” Murong Shan Shan words were like a death premonition.
“Boom~!”
The whole world became quiet and tranquil!
Her snowy face stained by some dirt; Murong Shan Shan stared at me unbelievingly.
“Lin Fan, you didn’t die! You really didn’t die!!”
It was true. How come I didn’t die?
I immediately looked through the battle log and saw a line within the records: You have been resurrected by the power of [Resurrection Orb]-1110 Health and 462 Mana has been restored! (TL Note: I decide to change the term ‘Pearl Jewel’ into ‘Orb’. Thanks, Voskara! And I think that the MC’s luck is way too OP. F***ing unbelievable!)
Surviving the aftermath gave off a really wonderful feeling!
The Necromancer’s self-destruction had also annihilated the 5 Armored Skeleton Warriors. Murong Shan Shan was fortunate to still have 23 Health remaining from her 862 Health. If it was a profession like Magicians that lacked Health, it would be hard to escape death even if they were at Level-30. No wonder so many players were complaining about cases where the boss self-destructed. With the level and equipment most players currently had, not even a handful of Warriors could withstand this attack.
