The pearl broke as dark purple Cursed Energy flowed out and formed an intimidating ugly face. The face opened its mouth, and the smaller things in the room began to fly towards it.
Ye Mo stood still as he thrust his spear. The spear left a black shadow in its trail and pierced the face, but it felt like the spear had struck water, not affecting the face at all. Ye Mo pulled back his spear as the hole on the face instantly mended itself.
“Curse you!” the face shouted. “I’ll kill you all!”

The face began to expand as the Cursed Energy seeped out through the windows.
“Ye Mo! The Cursed Essence is in the middle of the face!” Cai Ling shouted anxiously. “You have to destroy and fully absorb it before it starts to expand and attracts unwanted attention!”
Ye Mo kept thrusting the Formation-Breaking Spear towards the face, but it had no effect. The spearhead of the Sky Blood Spear could automatically absorb any Evil Energy it came across and could release them when it killed a person, yet the spearhead refused to absorb the Cursed Energy. It felt like the Cursed Energy was not decent enough for it to absorb. The Cursed Energy was a few levels lower than the Evil Energy, and it wasn’t the purest Cursed Energy in the world.
There was no way that the Sky Blood Spear which was used to absorbing high-density Evil Energy would submit to the impure Cursed Energy.
The Cursed Energy began to surround Ye Mo and Cai Ling. Even if the energy wasn’t able to cause them harm, it would still be hard to deal with.
Both of them were still in the city of the Pleasure Valley. Only danger would await them if they were to be seen by the guards.
“Let’s leave this Cursed Energy here. It should be enough to buy time for us to escape,” Cai Ling shouted.

“Yes, ma’am!” the guard replied and ran towards the gate.
More than hundreds of guards were standing outside the inn under the order of Xiaoyao Meiqi. Each of them had a crossbow in their hands.
Except for the guards, the people around the inn had evacuated.
“Don’t get too close to the inn!” Xiaoyao Meiqi ordered. “Fire at will!”
The sound of the mechanism in the crossbows echoed throughout the city as they fired their arrows.
The crossbow the guards were holding was called the Thousand Mechanism X-bow. They were standard Mortal Weapons that all city guards used. One arrow from them was enough to impale a stone wall.
The arrows rained over the inn like a swarm of bees.

“You should’ve stayed with me that night and let me absorb all of your energy! At least you won’t die doing nothing!”
Suddenly, the purple cloud stopped expanding.
“Xiaoyao Meiqi!” Ye Mo laughed. “Shouldn’t you be afraid of me by now since you’ve tasted the power of the Heavenly Frost Charm?”

The cloud was gone, and only a purple pearl remained floating in the air.
