Bing Bing smiled as soon as she saw Cai Ling’s beautiful face. It was a face that a beauty of her own caliber would even be jealous of.
Bing Bing jumped at Cai Ling’s side and said while holding her arm, “It’s really you! It’s been three years, hasn’t it? I thought you were caught by Xiaoyao Langzi? My dad almost had a panic attack when he got wind of the news. Even though he doesn’t know you, he still prayed that you’d be alright.”
Ye Mo let out a sigh of relief as soon as he saw how Bing Bing treated Cai Ling.
“I was saved by Ye Mo here. He helped me cut off the cuff that was sealing my powers,” Cai Ling explained.
“You mean him?” Bing Bing looked at Ye Mo curiously. “Are you sure?”
“You’ll understand once you see his powers,” Cai Ling said and didn’t give any further explanation. “We’re in a hurry. Can you let us meet with the Palace Lord?”
“Of course. Follow me,” Bing Bing as she guided Ye Mo and Cai Ling into the palace.
The Frozen Palace was supported by pillars made out of ice, yet they did not give off the chilling air that ice normally emitted. But when Ye Mo tried to touch the pillar, he could feel the cold seeping into his bones, as if the pillars were colder than freezing temperatures. If not for his Dragon Energies, Ye Mo would’ve gotten hurt just by touching them.
“These Ten Years Absolute Zero Ice Pillars were made from the Frozen Lake,” Cai Ling warned when she noticed what Ye Mo was doing. “Try not to touch them, as the chill might spread cold toxins into your body.”
“I’m fine. These won’t harm me at all,” Ye Mo said.
“Don’t try to brag. One of our Spirit Cultivating Ninth Realm warriors touched one, and it froze all of his internal organs.” Bing Bing snorted.
After a few minutes, they arrived at the inner hall. In the middle of the hall sat a massive throne with two lion-shaped ice sculptures standing beside it. The lions had their mouths opened wide as if they were roaring.
On the throne sat a man in a white robe. He had a peaceful face that was complemented with pale skin. His eyes were shut tight as if he was meditating.
The man opened his blue eyes when he heard people walking into the hall.
“Father! This is the City Lord of the Women City!” Bing Bing smiled as she pointed towards Cai Ling.
Both Ye Mo and Cai Ling bowed to the Palace Lord.
“The City Lord of the Women City?” the Palace Lord said as he looked at Cai Ling without any expression. “Rumor has it that you’re a Spirit Devour Realm warrior, but for some reason, I can’t feel the True Energy on you! I’ve also heard that your powers were sealed by the Beast Cuff. How did you get out of it?”
“Truth to be told, my power has greatly declined due to some personal reasons,” Cai Ling explained. “I’m just an Energy Shaping Ninth Realm warrior as of now. That’s why I got caught by the Pleasure Valley so easily. Your daughter should be able to prove that I’m the real City Lord as I saved her life once.”
“Father, she really is the City Lord,” Bing Bing explained. “Remember when I went to the Women City three years ago, and someone wanted to harm me? She was the one who saved me, but I didn’t tell her I was the young lady of the Frozen Palace at that time.”
“We’ve heard that you were caught by Xiaoyao Langzi,” the Palace Lord said to Cai Ling as he nodded towards his daughter. “I was planning to conduct a rescue myself actually. If Xiaoyao Langzi managed to advance to the Heaven’s Gate Realm, the Frozen Palace would be at a huge disadvantage. Yet that man took you back to the Pleasure Valley in secret. How did you escape?”
“I was saved by this young warrior here. He’s also the one who freed me from the cuff,” Cai Ling said. “But by saving me, he got himself into trouble with the Pleasure Valley. That’s why we’re here, to find a way to take care of the Pleasure Valley once and for all.”
“And you are?” the Palace Lord looked at Ye Mo and asked.
“Ye Mo, from the Limestone City,” Ye Mo said as he took a step forward. “Please, we really need your help to take care of them.”
“Ye Mo, you should know by now we and the Pleasure Valley are enemies,” the Palace Lord shook his head and replied. “Even if our developments were almost the same, we would still lose them to them in power by a small margin. It would be impossible for us to destroy them. Both of you should take this chance and go north and return to the Women City. We will help you to hold off the Pleasure Valley as long as possible.”
The only thing that the Palace Lord could do was let them leave and stall for them.
“Palace Lord, I’ll ask again. Do you want to destroy the Pleasure Valley?” Ye Mo asked as if he had not heard what the Palace Lord had said.
“Of course I do, but the Pleasure Valley has far more powerful warriors than we do. They even have three Energy Shaping Ninth Realm warriors, and we only have one. How are we supposed to defeat them?” the Palace Lord asked.
If the both of them were to fight, the Frozen Palace would definitely suffer a huge loss.
“Do you have the ingredients to make True Energy Pills?” Ye Mo asked.
“Of course we do,” the Palace Lord replied and was stunned by the question after realizing what Ye Mo was indicating. “Are you saying that you can create True Energy Pills?”
“Yes, I can.” Ye Mo nodded. “I came with preparations to take the Pleasure Valley down. As long as you have the ingredients, I can help your Energy Shaping Ninth Realm warrior advance to the True Energy Realm in a few days. By then, we won’t have to be afraid of the Pleasure Valley anymore.”

“But I need a favor from you too,” Ye Mo bowed and said.
“What’s that?” the Palace Lord asked as he looked at Ye Mo without any of the resentment he had before.
“If I create the pill for you and help you take care of the Pleasure Valley, I hope you can give me a piece of the Thousand Years Absolute Zero Ice after everything has ended.”

“Looks like you’re not only here to destroy the Pleasure Valley but also to get your hands on the Absolute Zero Ice,” the Palace Lord said. “Do you know how precious that material is?”
“It’s still worth less than a True Energy Pill, right?” Ye Mo said. “If the pill is not enough, how about I make a True Energy Pill with both Pill Markings and Aroma on it?”
