Chapter 26 I am leaving the Kingdom

With the footsteps getting further away, the little girl had gone far. But I waited until I couldn’t hear her anymore before pushing open my door.

"Hey, isn't that good to marry me?" The words of the little girl suddenly merged in my mind. The expression on her face was…Was it really just a joke or was she pretending the easy expression?

What was I thinking about! I couldn't help but knocked my head hard. Did I have any expectations in my heart? I was just a Necromancer, and she was just a princess! And she was just a little girl, a little girl who just grew up, at most she was a well-developed little girl!

I was lying in bed. This bed was really soft and comfortable. But I would soon leave, leave this place. I shouldn’t be able to enjoy such comfortable and luxurious bed in the future! After I left, what would happen to this country? I didn't know who the little girl would choose as her husband. But she wouldn’t choose Ying Luo right? When she mentioned about Ying Luo to me in the ballroom, her facial expression would never be misread as liking him! It was ridiculous that the future King of a country was chosen by a little girl…This was ridiculous!

But no matter what, it had nothing to do with me. Anyways, I would soon leave this place. During this time, what happened here would only be a memory in my mind...

The black fire leaped in front of me, and "it" appeared in front of me. The vague figure in the flame became clearer and clearer, and it began to materialize!

"What are you doing?" I panicked back. "Everything is over. I have nothing to do with you! Disappear right away. You shouldn't be here!"

"You have nothing to do with me? As long as you have this mark on your body, you are inseparable from me... haha haha... Since the moment I left the mark on you, you belong to me…The curse of all gods has been carved on you. Except me, you have no one to depend on!”

"Stop! You have forced me to fulfill my covenant. Now I have nothing to do with you... I belong to myself!" Courage suddenly fired up from my heart. I stood firmly and shouted out loud.

"Haha haha..." With the laughter, the black flame began to shake. Then the flame suddenly rushed over to me. "You belong to yourself, prove this to me..." The flame surrounded me, covered me up, started burning my body. I couldn't breathe anymore. "If you take off your cover, what will others think of you... You cover yourself with camouflage. You were just covering up your true identity! Haha..."

"No!" I yelled, rolled over and sat up!

It turned out to be just a nightmare! I looked around. I was in my room in the palace, sitting on the bed. I touched my eyes. The mask was still on my face. This was just a dream, a meaningless dream! I breathed out a sigh of relief, then looked at the window. The sky was turning bright, it was time to get up!

When I started to put on my clothes, I discovered that my underwear was soaked with sweat!

Today should be the first day to teach the little girl magic. In fact, I only planned to teach some basic knowledge to get her started! I only had one day. No matter how strong I was or how smart the little girl was, it was not enough to make her master the core of magic!

I walked through the long corridor towards the little girl’s residence. I didn’t get up too early today. So the little girl should have been waiting for me in her room already.

Suddenly I heard people quarreling. The immature sound was obviously from the little girl. And I couldn't tell the source of the other sound! I speeded up. In the palace, there were not that many people who dared to argue with the princess. Maybe something serious had happened!

I pushed open the garden gate. The two people who were arguing all looked back. One was the little girl, and the other was a middle-aged woman who I didn't recognize!

"Mr. Leiden, you are here!" The little girl ran over to me and took my hand in a close way. “It doesn’t matter, we can start now!”

"Ah... OK!" I looked at the woman. From her dressing, I guessed she was an ordinary court servant. But she dared to argue with the princess (even though the princess was just a little girl) …This woman may not be an ordinary court servant! The woman saw me checking her out. Her face turned pale. She suddenly ran over me without saying anything, leaving a series sound of footsteps on the marble floor.

"What happened? Who is she?" I looked at the little girl, and the little girl looked at me with her big eyes.

"She was sent by my father... To tell me not to be with you all of a sudden!...Damn it. My father always refuses me to learn magic. He said there was no need for girls to learn fighting skills!” She looked down, “But I really wanted to learn magic…If I could use magic, I may have been able to help my grandfather…Maybe my grandfather could still be with me” Her voice went down.

Grandfather... He was probably a gentle and kind old magician, just like my master! For a moment, the face of my master with a long white beard appeared again in front of my eyes and circling in my mind! My heart suddenly felt a pain, as if a knife pierced into a soft wound!

"What's wrong with you, Leiden! You look terrible!" The voice of the little girl pulled me back to reality.

"Nothing!" I smiled in my best effort to make my face look normal. “Let’s start! ”

"OK!"

"Do you understand now?" I asked. The little girl was indeed gifted. Her memorizing and comprehension ability exceeded my expectation. She had learnt all the basic knowledge and principles of magic in only one morning! I originally planned to finish my teach in the evening. It looked like I could have finished my teaching early.

"Yeah!" she nodded.

"Okay! I have already finished teaching!" I stood up. For me, my job of being the master was finished now!

"Ah! It’s so late! The sun is setting..." The little girl looked at the falling sunset and turned to me. She stretched out and looked at me. "Let's have dinner together!" She smiled at me. In the sunset glow, her face was covered with a mysterious light. Her smile looked so beautiful that it was like a blooming rose!

"No need!" I turned away my head. My duty was over. Maybe I can say goodbye to the King now!

"Will you teach me more tonight?"

"No, it is over!" I replied gently.

"How about we start earlier tomorrow? Time passes by fast when I learn magic…I always feel I don’t have enough time!” She looked at me with hope, but I shook my head.

"I have finished all the things that I plan to teach you! ”

"Finished? But...But I haven't learned how to cast magic... I am still the same as before. I can’t launch one single magic!”
"I said that I would only teach you some basic things, which can only be regarded as the elementary knowledge! As for more advanced knowledge, other masters will come to teach you! What's more," I looked away from her eyes, "I will leave tomorrow! No, maybe I will go tonight..."

"Leave? Where are you going?"

"I don't know..." When I said this, I suddenly realized maybe I had told her about my plan too much.

The little girl jumped over and grabbed my robe tightly. "Why are you leaving, isn't it good here?" Her eager look softened my heart. But I knew I could not stay in one place for too long—I knew this since the time I became a Necromancer! I looked away, telling myself I had to leave, before anyone discovered my Necromancer identity!

"It's good here... but it's not for me!" I replied, turning away to the door! The little girl released my softly. She should have known that she could not keep me with only hands! I had already decided to leave tonight. I would say goodbye to the King after dinner!
