Chapter 11

The trip was all right. We both put the armor of the dead goblins and followed them to Lewis’ nest. We didn't attract the attention of other patrols along the way. Choosing the stupid goblins as the patrol was a big mistake. This kind of creatures were only suitable as the forward troop. It doesn't matter how many of them die in front of enemy’s fire. The only problem we had was the smell of goblins that was left on the armor, which made me feel like vomiting. Although I hadn't eaten for almost a whole day, there’s nothing I could vomit out of my stomach.

"Mr. Leiden!" Brian asked me, being a little scared. "How could we put on armor? The god of magic prevents magicians from wearing armors! With an armor, you couldn’t use magic anymore. What should we do if we come across energies…?”

"Don't talk nonsense... We won't be discovered... No matter what, we still have this group of goblins as our shield. We have enough time to take off our armors…Right?” I answered casually, finally justifying myself with a reason.

The goblin captain stopped and passed a gesture to me. I knew we have arrived at the Necromancer Lewis’ nest.

This is a very large cave. At first glance, I knew it was the type of wide and deep cave, with a lot of branches. Though it was only a cave, but the inside would never be small. It didn’t seem an easy task locating the little princess.

There were two ogre guards standing at the door, and they were actually wearing a chain armor with huge battle axes in their hands.

"You are back... Did you find anything unusual?" A guard stopped goblin captain.

"Why do you ask them? These idiots don’t know a shit. They go out to only wander around before coming back! It’s rather exciting smashing their heads!”
The other ogre laughed out loud, waving his battle axe like threatening.

"You are an idiot, breaking their heads would make this place smells like a hell…These stinky goblins are disturbing! Go away, don’t come to the owner’s home without new information, go back to your own nest! If you stay here long, I will throw you all off the cliff!"

The goblins fled to the left corner in fears, and we two had to run with them, with the ogres’ unpleasant laugher coming from behind.

"What can we do now? Mr. Leiden?" After getting rid of those useless goblin group, Brian asked me. “Don’t we get into the nest?”

"Of course, we can’t just give up!” I said. Since I’ve made a promis, I had to make it, this was my personal principle. Besides, it was only two ogres that I had to face, not the Necromancer. There was nothing to be scared of. It was just a little trouble.

How can I get into the nest? Killing the two ogres would be very simple. But I can't guarantee this would not attract more enemies. God knows what else was inside the cave, maybe there was a bunch of ogres inside.

If we didn’t kill the ogres, we could only wait for the to leave. After all, ogres were different from the goblins. They wouldn’t be stupid to leave their guard at the same time. The invisible magic seemed the last option.

But now I only remembered one invisible spell! If I got into the nest myself, what could Brian do?

"Mr. Leiden, what should we do now?" Brian asked me.

"I plan to get in suing the invisible spell..." I turned over to the boy. Though I didn’t tell him my concern, he could read the reason why I hesitated so long from my face.

"Is there only one invisible spell..." he said softly, but cheered up right away. "It doesn't matter, rest assured, I will take care of myself! There are so many big stones here, with the complicated terrain, hiding is easy!"

Is it? I can tell the anxiety from his voice. A rookie magician who wasn’t able to send out a magic ball! If he was left alone in a place that was completely occupied by the evils, he must be lying saying he had no fear. He just didn’t want to be my burden—what an innocent kid!

"This is for you!" I took the dagger from my arms and handed it to the boy. I have already imposed my magic on it. There should be no way to detect the dagger with magic. "Don't use it unless you have to!"

(The King bloodsucking dagger: artifact, undetectable, zero hit rate 5, damage degree 5, defense level 3, randomly generated 2d6 flame, poison, ice damage, 50% chance to produce level 3 fireball, 30% chance to cast a vampire touch, 10% chance to cast a fire parasol, 5% chance to paralyze the enemy for 10 rounds... Audience: Is there such thing exiting?)

The boy took over this dagger. I suspect that he had never used this type of weapon. But it doesn't matter. Just holding this weapon in his hand was enough to scare others away!

I watched him hide in an unnoticeable corner and then began to focus on his magic. I believe that this dagger would protect him. This was the special thing about this holly tool. They were so powerful no matter in whoever’s hands.
However, after all, I would never believe that Lewis had actually used this holly tool as the medium connecting the two worlds. This dagger is a legendary treasure for magicians. This dagger was the only missing part in his life for my own Master…

...Master... There was a pain in my heart. The kind smile of the old magician who had a white beard appeared in front of my eyes again…No, everything was over, everything was over. It was like the wind passing through the earth without leaving anything... I was not wrong... No... I can’t immerse myself in the past, treasuring the current moments is important. I was now living the life I dreamed of! I tried to get rid of my distracting thoughts. This sudden resurging of old memory almost interrupted my magic!

My body quickly merged with the surroundings, and then swayed into the cave from the side of the two ogres.

The cave was not dark at all. Somehow the lighting inside the cave was quite good. It was not hard to walk. But there was one thing strange, the layout inside the cave was too artificial! It seemed that it was not naturally formed, but was made by hand! Starting from a short path into the cave, there were rooms uniformly allocated on both sides. Some shining stones—not sure if they were treasure stones—were embedded on the ceilings of the cave to light up the cave.

The first few rooms were large, all filled with beds. Obviously, these rooms were for the Necromancer’s personal guards. However, there was none of them here now. It seemed that the Necromancer had sent out all his troops to search for us! He could never have thought that I was able escape his death trap, taking away his holly tool as well. Otherwise he would never have not sent me to the ice cave! However, I was wondering. Since he cared so much about the holly tool, why did he use it as a medium of connection? If he kept it with him, no one could take it away from him!

A room was pushed open, cutting off my thoughts... A tall figure came out of the door.
The Ogre! I was shocked and turned to the sideways to avoid confrontation. If this guy used detection spell after sensing out something wrong, I would have to face a huge group of enemies! Although I was still confident that I could escape, Brain would be in trouble—they would search out every corner if I escaped.

The Ogre brought a bucket of wine - this container should be called a bucket, although in his hands it was of the size of a kettle—walking to the inside of the cave while murmuring!

"It was boring; why did Master give out such an order! I had to guard a human girl…They all went to the outside world, leaving me stuck here…boring!”

"Girl!" I immediately noticed the guy was talking about a little girl. It was lucky. I got a free guide!

It was really convenient to have this guide. I could skip searching from one room to another. I just needed to be careful following him. I followed him all the way, carefully noticing conditions on the road, most of the rooms were empty. There were not many guards on the way, either. It seemed that there were not many guards left-behind in this cave. Probably the Necromancer could have never imagined someone dared to enter his nest!

The Orge pushed open a door in the very end. I realized it was the Necromancer’s own room when I saw the carpet on the floor. This guy actually imprisoned the little girl in his own room, and he really was a pedophile!

I walked in silently with him. The decoration inside was luxurious. Lewis’ power could never be underestimated, being someone with rooms in mountains like this.

The room was separated by a curtain, and there was a burst of crying from inside. But the Ogre did not care about this. He just sat down and drank his wine! I can't move the curtain in front of this guy. So I had to stand there, waiting for him to leave.

Suddenly, I realized a problem. After I rescued the little girl, how do I take her out? I only had one invisible spell! Damn it! Did it mean I had to kill bloody exit for the princess? She was not worth the risk! I didn’t have the same preference over girls as the Necromancer!
