If it was another scenario then I'd gladly chat with Liam but I was supposed to be diving or snorkeling now if he did not appear before me.

Sigh.

I've got no better thing to do right now so once again I walked to reach the side of the girls. I only need to walk a kilometer to get to them.

On the beach there were fleets of boats sailing, some were on kayaks and others were fishing.

There were guests playing beach volleyball when I arrived yet there was no Heather among them. I could only try my luck finding Lily now among the others under the parasol.

As to why I am looking for them? For distraction, it was boring to be left alone.

I think I saw a glimpse of Heather so I went to that part, choosing to go behind them and give them a surprise.

"Aren't you embarrassed with what you are doing?" I heard Lily's voice from up front.

"What did I do? I properly asked the guy want to become friends. When he said he's sorry and that he already got a nice beau, I left him. Did I not?" Heather said beside her.

"Whatever." Lily said in a low voice.

"I'm at least drawing the line clearly and never been pretentious." Heather stated but this irked Lily a little bit as her voice rise.

"What did you mean by that?"She said as she straightens her back.

Heather did the same as she accused, "Oh? Did I poke a spot? The things with Iris.."

"What? You're making up stories". Lily cleverly retorted.

"As if, during middle school all kids have been respectful with her, there may be few who'd talk behind her back but one day they just turned 180 degrees and bullied her? A member of the Lin household?" Heather stated as a matter of fact.

"What does it have to do with me? I've just transferred that time, I even helped her and she'd been thankful for it." Lily countered.

"Yeah? Helping her when she's looking but putting anonymous rumors on the bulletin when she's not, I'm sure she's really thankful."

"Ridiculous! If Iris heard your claims then she'll be disappointed on you once again."

"Tell that to yourself. We may not be classmates during those times but I still know all the things going on school. You kept acting like you're on her side!"

"Because I am!"

"What an act! The bullying started with you and that's a fact."

"As if Iris would believe you. You're just jealous of us!"

And their bickering continued as I was standing awkwardly at the back. I came over to surprise them but I was the one who got surprised by their revelations.

If this body was only smarter before then perhaps she wouldn't be in this position. She wouldn't have blindly trusted a few words by her. The best friend title is only for display. It got no real value.

I did wonder before why the earliest entries on her diary got no word of the bullying but as it turns out, she brought it all along. Given as this body's personality then she might have trusted her and shared her worries. Who would've thought that she'd become her greatest nightmare.

But what is her motive? Because of Luke? Then keep him!

Now this is hard, to move forward and deal with them now? Or turn around and walk away?

I choose the latter.

Why should I have to confront and make enemies? I am a stranger to this land and I prefer living peacefully.

The road going to the raft is long so I took my time walking over. Once I reached it, all the males were there including Gerbera.

"I heard you went to see Heather and Lily?" Luke asked the first thing he saw me.

I know I planned before to just go with the flow with whatever this guy here wants for the sake of this body but it's getting tiring. If he's one of the reasons on why this body got no soul then I don't want to keep interacting.

Luke what are you? Am I in a novel and you're the main lead? Is that why I've got to suffer? BS!

"Yes." I gave him a short reply before turning to Gerbera. "Feeling okay?"

"Thank you for your concern, I'm feeling better now." She responded. I subtly glanced at her body, 'En' the guy's in control, he left no hickey.

"That's good. You're a celebrity so you must take care of your body." I told her to which she nodded.

"Where are they then? My sister and Lily?" Aster questioned after making sure I was done conversing with Gerbera.

'I left them quarreling so how would I know?' I wanted to tell him.

"They—"

"Oh! Heather's back." Aster quickly added before I could say anything. I turned and saw it was really Heather heading here alone.

"Lily's not with you?" Luke asked her the moment she came closer.

"No. I left her after resting a bit." Heather spoke calmly as she sat down beside her brother.

"What should we do? They'll start the barbecue on time." Liam said concerned about our time management.

"Let them, I am sure she'd eat even without us." Heather said plainly displaying her nonchalant attitude.

All were caught surprised with her viewpoint.

"Heather?" Luke asked confused on what she meant.

"I mean she's friends with the owner of this place. The crew will serve her as a vvip wherever she went here." Heather tried to elaborate.

What she said was plausible so Luke believed her and kept quiet on the side.

Barbecue at the beach during sunset? That's a killer and we all ate a generous amount. Even after we finished eating, Lily did not join our group. We went stargazing after then went to the lounge area to enjoy nice music. After two songs from the singer on board, we decided to end the day and returned to our rooms.
