It should be remembered that the Purple Mist Sect, for the past years since the Desolate Wasteland event, had been researching how to reproduce the so-called 'Chui Shi' in its care.

'Chui Shi,' again, refers to the spatial pendant that can store contracted beasts.

The Sect Master, all of a sudden, recalled this item upon hearing the exploits of Qai.

He thought to himself that since nobody in the sect so far chose to equip the 'Beast Taming' skill, it might work to see the success of their 'reproduced' pendant if they could actually test it—and now that the name of Qai was brought up, the Sect Master thought of gifting one his young 'friend.'

The three sect disciples recalled how Qai timely appeared during the fight between the two leaders—and how it turned the table in favor of the Han Valley.

"So that's how it was..!?" The Sect Master said with a slight chuckle.

One of the disciples could not believe at the reaction of the emperor. He thought that the Sect Master would feel disgusted by Qai's fighting style. Instead, it appeared that the emperor was satisfied by it.

And after the three had nothing more to say, the Sect Master finally dismissed them with a slight grin.

'Maybe I should drop by 'The Hunters' Plateau' as well,' the Emperor Void thought to himself.

"The chief is here," a cultivator exclaimed.

Elder Long and all the present Han Valley elders together with some concerned cultivators rushed to see the chief.

They were all wanting to see the chief for varying reasons.

Some would like to finally hear the official announcement that the bandit extermination was a success. Others were, deep within themselves, itching to finally to split and claim their rewards. There were some who were concerned with the chief and her companions.

However, many were not expecting to see Qai and his black lightning tiger in the party.

"Eh."

"Wasn't that a member of 'The Hunters' Plateau' team," a cultivator softly remarked.

They were a bit confused but they simply overlooked Qai's presence as they had other concerns of priority than prying into such petty detail.

Xiao Ning and Jing, meanwhile, rushed to the area upon hearing that Qai had also arrived. Xiao Ning was especially concerned since she had left him alone back in the upper course of the river.

Back then, Qai instructed Xiao Ning to take the children and decided to stay in the midst of the presence of five high leveled sage bandits—to which Xiao Ning obliged with pangs of conscience.

"Welcome back, chief."

Greetings echoed around the area all of a sudden.

And upon arrival, the initial instruction of Chief Xing Yi was for everyone to head back to the Han Valley.

Many were surprised with the chief's decision although it actually made sense since it had come to the point where the Han Valley had to give rewards—and the safest place to do it was actually within its own turf.

However, before the chief dismissed the crowd, she ordered for all the Han Valley elders to remain as she had something to discuss. She also asked someone to summon the entire Mo Clan team, as well as 'The Hunters' Plateau' team.

Few moments later, the cultivators whom the chief called for had already gathered in one place.

She then greeted them with a bow and started to inform them of the matter at hand.

"Dear elders and friends," the chief said in a mild tone. "I do not wish to beat around the bush so let me go straight to the point."

All those who heard her words could not guess what she wanted to discuss—so they just waited patiently to hear more from the chief.

The chief then took a deep sigh and slightly smiled before she said another word.

"The Han Valley has just obtained a 'spirit stone' mining site for itself," she said.

Immediately thereafter, she opened her right hand and showed around a couple of 'spirit stones' as pieces of evidence to her claims.

"Ah."

The Han Valley elders could not believe in what they saw—but at the same time their minds evidently started to imagine about what could such fortune bring to the entire Han Valley.

"Ha ha ha," the Mo Clan elder laughed.

Everybody looked at the elder with confusion—they couldn't figure out whether the Mo Clan elder was trying to be sarcastic or not.

"That's very impressive..," the elder immediately continued. "Congratulations, dear friend!"

From then on, murmurs echoed in the area as all those present started to voice out their opinions of what to do with the said mining site.

However, the chief motioned with her hand to quiet down.

"The mining site is small one though..," she said it as if trying to warn everyone to temper their expectations. "However, what is important right now is how do we seal off the area."

Everyone fell into silence as they had not thought of it—everyone's mindset was already at how to profit from it but forgot the more pressing matter.

"Why not put an encampment in there?" An elder instantly suggested.

"Not enough..," the chief said. "Now that this place has become known publicly, I really think we have to secure it tightly."

They all agreed but none could give a better suggestion.

"Let's ask help then."
