It should be remembered that 'The Hunters' Plateau' was located in the far east of the Stonecrest region and that the said region was the southeastern portion of the continent.

On the other hand, the gathering that the Purple Mist Sect Master mentioned would be held at the central part of the continent which was known as 'Kunlun' mountains.

And as the word suggested, it was actually a mountainous region but surrounded by several cities and said to be governed by the a sect known to be the strongest in the continent, the 'Heavenly Dragon Sect.'

As a whole, the continent may be divided into five regions. And each region had a great sect as its overseer.

What the Purple Mist Sect Master previously told Qai was the regular meeting of the five great sects of the continent which was ordinarily held in the 'Kunlun' mountains.

And on the Shu family's way back to 'The Hunters' Plateau,' Qai was thinking of all these things.

The emperor only mentioned few things to orient Qai of the general landscape of the continent—but Qai was already overwhelmed by the new informationed he learned.

'Truly a frog in a well,' Qai thought to himself.

He pondered that all the victorious battles he had been in the past years could have just been luck and felt that he might be a trash after all as he had not seen the rest of the world.

However, he was not the kind of person who would sit idly by and let things be after gaining new knowledge. And now that he had a 'Chui Shi' in his possession—he would take every inch of opportunity to get better.

'I can't go to 'Kunlun' mountains with meager strength,' he thought.

The Shu family was still unaware of all the things the Purple Mist Sect Master told Qai as they thought that Qai attended the meeting only to aid the Han Valley—so they had no idea what was going through Qai's mind who was obviously daydreaming every once in a while during their travel.

"Father," Qai called all of a sudden.

"What is it son!?" Shu Wei answered.

Qai took a deep breath and looked at the horizon before saying a word.

"I'd like to spend time this year traveling around the Stonecrest region," Qai said with a serious tone.

"Ah."

Qai then explained to his father and to the rest of the Shu family members who were traveling together with him how he came up with the idea after learning few things from the Sect Master. His plan was both to temper his strength through the journey and at the same time learn new things as he tried to acquaint himself in the region.

"Hmmn," Shu Wei uttered. "I don't see any problem with that.."

Shu Liang, who was listening intently, was about to say that she would like to go as well but Shu Wei was quick to follow up his words.

"Are you going to take anyone with you?" Shu Wei asked.

Qai paused for a while and sighed.

"I'm thinking of going with Shandian and the two 'Silvermoon Apes'," he thereafter answered as if he had already planned it ahead.

Everyone was dumbfounded why Qai decided to take two other domesticated demonic beasts with him.

In truth, Qai had not yet revealed to his family about the existence of his treasured 'Chui Shi;' and as a matter of fact, he only tried to once with Shandian and had no idea if the pendant could also be used as a sanctum for domesticated demonic beast--it was just his gut feeling that tells him that it's possible.

At any rate, Qai seemed to be already determined to travel with only the demonic beasts with him so none of the family members would insist of accompanying him.

"Well..," Shu Liang finally had the chance to interrupt, "..if that is the case, then, I would like to have my own exploits as well."

"Eh."

***************

The Shu family chose to pass by Moon Village as it was the fastest way to reach the plateau.

And upon reaching the said village, they were welcomed by a familiar face who hurried to them as they reached the gates. It was the village elder, and at the same time, renowned merchant of the place--Su Yu's uncle, Elder Lu.

"Elder Lu!?"

Everyone was speechless when they finally noticed the merchant. The familiar elder had unmistakably undergone a physical transformation--although he had finally brokenthrough to sage realm, he was more noticeably became stout.

The elder rubbed his pot-belly in jest and embarrassingly chuckled.

"Well," he said, "you guys could also call me 'Fatty Lu' from now on."

The village elder actually approached them for one reason.

He described to them how the Moon Village changed so quick after the Desolate Wasteland event, and how every cultivator in the village had gotten unexpectedly stronger which prompted him to think of his personal goals.

"Younger, stronger and more talented cultivators suddenly emerged in the village," he described, "and I thought it's time for them to take over my position as village elder."

And so after some careful considerations, he decided to finally leave the village and his initial thought was to join 'The Hunters' Plateau.'

"So," the elder quickly added, "how about letting me reunite with my nephew and join the Shu family instead?"

"Ah."
