Chapter 121

Shandian obviously could not mentally communicate with the other demonic beasts—as that ability only worked with the contracted cultivator.
But at least the black tiger had a way of making some sort of signal with the other demonic beasts also 'tamed' by his contractor—which was a little bit higher than the natural form of communication between demonic beasts.
And so without further dawdle, Shandian tried to 'growl' from inside the 'Chui Shi' in an attempt to call the two Dire Wolves.
All of a sudden, the two Dire Wolves successively disappeared leaving some sort of dark smoke on the surface of the ground which implied that the attempt was indubitably a success.
'Twiiishhh,' 'twiiishhh.'
Qai was obviously stunned at the sight of what just took place. He could not believe that his out-of-nowhere thought could be the 'right' way to do it.
'No.. no..,' he thought to himself, 'that couldn't be it..'
Qai felt that such method must be a fluke as it appeared to be very odd. If any, he thought that he simply uncovered an alternative way of making domesticated demonic beast get inside the spatial pendant.
'At the very least,' Qai thought, 'I now know that this 'Chui Shi' is not limited to contracted demonic beasts.'
From then on, Qai's thoughts flew fast as he had begun thinking of several theories regarding the pendant's use.
Using the same method, he mentally communicated with Shandian who apparently played the role of interpreter to test out his guesses.
And for an entire day, he discovered that the specific 'Chui Shi' in his possession could at least 'shelter' three more 'domesticated' demonic beasts apart from his contracted one.
He thought that maybe, like spatial rings, spatial pendants could also vary depending on the space it had. And elite grades could probably 'shelter' much more demonic beasts.'
Apart from that, Qai was interested to know how long can a demonic beast stay inside the spatial pendant, but he obviously cannot answer it in just a day of trial—so in order to figure it out, he placed the two Silvermoon Apes and decided to let them stay there for as long as it can since he would be taking the two with him in his journey.
'Maybe that would do it for now,' he said to himself.
He then called out Shandian from the 'Chui Shi' and then proceeded to the treasury to gather some items he would eventually need.
