Old Yu obviously respected Qai so much up to the extent that he could not easily say no to him. And now that his beloved young master agreed to the idea, he cannot but accept.

With that, Shu Wei's plan of expanding the family a little with few more outer disciples in the following year became official.

And as the evening went on, the sumptuous dinner was very much enjoyed by everyone with lots of expectations in the coming days ahead being the topic of the conversations.

The head of the family meanwhile did not give any parting gift to Qai and Shu Liang as he already heard that the two had already received something from Elder 'Fatty' Lu and that they had already gone to the Treasury Hall and shamelessly ransacked the place with whatever they felt they need.

Nevertheless, it was Qai who gave something to Shu Liang. And it was actually ten pieces of 'spirit stones.' But he strictly warned her not to easily expose to the public that she had such valuable items and to make use of them only for trading purposes.

"Do not to use them unless extremely necessary," Qai cautiously reminded.

Shu Liang nodded as she understood that the 'spirit stones' in her possession could very well become the target of greedy cultivators.

The siblings were actually bound to start their separate adventures immediately the next day. And as final piece of their preparations, they both went into cultivation the entire evening.

The following morning, Shu Liang and Qai together with Shandian were all accompanied by the entire members of the Shu family towards the gate of the plateau.

It should be noted that the day was marked as the first time 'The Hunters' Plateau' would be sending off young cultivators alone by themselves in an unknown journey—so each member of the Shu family felt it necessary to see them off.

"Good luck on your journey," Elder Ming Yu said as he hugged each of them with teary eyes.

Right after Old Yu gave his well wishes, everyone followed suit.

"Take care."

"Be careful not to antagonize great clans."

The siblings planned to first go directly to Jiang City together before they go their separate ways.

Qai's mind was intent on going northward probably stoping by Sun City first while Shu Liang opted to go and explore further west.

Before finally departing, Qai looked intently at Bing, Jing, Xiao Ning and Su Yu and gave his parting words.

"The four of you should look forward to going on your own adventures as well once I get back," he said with a grin.

The four simply nodded proudly and smiled back at Qai.

And so after few more well wishes, the two finally made their firsts steps towards their journey alone.

***************

"Little brother," Shu Liang called while they were heading to Jiang City. "How are the Silvermoon Apes doing."

It's almost a week since Qai 'sheltered' the two apes inside his Chui Shi. And so far, they were still doing good inside.

Shandian once told Qai that the atmosphere inside the pendant was dense and good for the natural cultivation process of demonic beasts. Meaning, it could speed up the level of domesticated demonic beasts to catch up with the level of the tamer.

Just like the three demonic beast limit the pendant can contain, it was one of the other things that Qai found out about Chui Shi which he had to report to Emperor Void but which he could not directly tell as of the moment to anyone—not even to his sister.

The only thing that the Shu family knew was that Qai got his spatial pendant from the Purple Sect Master and that it can shelter demonic beasts.

"They're doing good," Qai replied. "And I don't see any sign yet of them feeling bored."

"They must probably like it in there," Shu Liang remarked

Qai simply smiled at Shu Liang as he tapped Shandian's head. The black tiger, on the other hand, made a facial gestured as if reminding Qai not to tell yet the secrets of the spatial pendant.

"By the way," Shu Liang said. "How many demonic beasts can you actually tame?"

Eversince Qai entered into sage realm, he had not domesticated any demonic beast.

"Well apart from the contracted one..," Qai descriptively replied, "..and as of my current strength, I can feel that I can tame one or two more."

"Oh," Shu Liang quickly did the math. "That means you can actually tame one per level."

Qai had currently domesticated eight demonic beasts. And at initial Earth sage realm—if Shu Liang's theory was correct—then, Qai had a room for three more demonic beasts.

"I can't be sure if that's how it actually works," Qai said. "But as of now, I only plan to tame one more."

It was not like that Qai did not want to tame more demonic beasts, but that he felt it would be better to take time and make use of the pendant to quickly raise the level of all his domesticated demonic beasts first.

Shu Liang looked at Qai with surprised facial expression.

"One!?" She curiously asked. "When are you planning to tame another one?"

"The soonest possible," Qai spoke with a big grin. "You're not the only one thinking of flying, you know.."

"Eh."
