In truth, Qai had to tame the wild turtle otherwise he wouldn't be able to instruct Shandian to call the it to get inside his 'Chui Shi.' At least that was the process he knew that worked for him.

"Now that it's tamed," Qai explained, "all I have to do is try to help the wild turtle to become a 'domesticated' demonic beast."

"Eh."

Qai vaguely explained what he meant by 'domesticated' demonic beasts and how he came up with such name.

And even if Liu Hei barely understood what Qai meant, he accepted the fact that something out of ordinary could happen anytime in the cultivation world—so he just listened in awe.

Thereafter, Qai mentally communicated with Shandian to call the wild turtle inside hi spatial pendant. Right in front of the emperor, the newly 'tamed' turtle disappeared with a spark of smoke in the direction of the 'Chui Shi.'

In the chief librarian's research, what was available in the books was the basic usage of the spatial pendant, it's design, its basic ingredient and nothing more.

In short, he had no idea about all the things Qai personally learned.

"You never cease to amaze me," he said in astonishment.

Qai no longer kept his secret from Liu Hei as he felt somewhat indebted to the old librarian—besides, he had a different agenda by investing a lot of relations to the chief librarian.

Liu Hei was suddenly inspired.

In his mind, he was imagining that should he be given a chance to breakthrough to Sky stage, he would want to equip the common 'Beast Taming' skill and contract with the last turtle egg—and probably find an opportunity to get a hand on a spatial pendant.

"You really opened my eyes today," the chief librarian humbly remarked with a soft voice, "looks like, even if I traveled fair enough in my life, I'm still a frog in a well."

After everything was finished, Liu Hei once again sealed the small room and invited Qai to come with him in order to see his wife.

**************

"By the way..," Qai suddenly called while they were on their way.

"What is it!?" Liu Hei quickly asked with an immediate gaze towards Qai.

"If you and Lady Liu Hua are intent on living discreetly for the rest of your life," Qai replied while slightly rubbing the tip of his nose, "would you mind settling in 'The Hunters' Plateau'?"

"Eh."

In Qai's mind, he wanted to give the Liu spouses some kind of Guest Grand Elder position or having the title of 'Protectors of The Hunters Plateau.'

Although in that short amount of time, Qai had barely established deep relationships with the Dao Companions, he nevertheless indirectly instilled in them that he was someone they could trust.

Unknown to Qai however, the feeling was, to Liu Hei, very mutual.

"I mean..," Qai quickly added, "it's not the best place for a cultivator to get stronger but that backwater place of my family could be the more suitable place for you and your wife.."

Qai did not elaborate further as we was obviously exaggerating to entice the old emperor's interest.

"Ha ha," the chief librarian sarcastically chuckled, "you're actually 'recruiting' me to join your Shu family, are you!?"

Qai looked away in obvious embarrassment.

"You will have to persuade me more," Liu Hei said in jest.

The chief librarian had priorly learned a thing or two when he tried to made a research on Qai after the two met for the first time so was definitely not unaware of the recent rise of the Shu family's plateau.

"Well..," Qai shyly replied trying to add something to brag about his family, "you'll see how much 'domesticated' demonic beasts I have actually tamed so far."

Liu Hei's eyes brightened up. He was obviously interested to see for himself what Qai just revealed.

He had obviously seen the lightning black tiger in addition to the turtle, plus Qai somewhat explained how it was possible, so he had a little idea about Qai's ability—but it never crossed his mind of the actual count of Qai's domesticated demonic beasts.

"I have actually two more with me right now," Qai was going all in just to lure the emperor to come to his family's side.

"Eh."

It was not everyday that, in the cultivation world, a small family would have a 'mid Earth stage Emperor realm member—and a 'Void' elemental affinity cultivator at that—so Qai was really dead serious about gaining the emperor's approval.

The thought that 'The Hunters' Plateau' would have its own cultivator with Void elemental affinity was already too much to imagine—that would mean the family would be able to forge its own scrolls.

And the fact that Liu Hei had a Fire elemental affinity wife that could concoct Supreme grade pills was more than a bonus—it would actually be a total jackpot.

Liu Hei, on the other hand, was burning with desire to immediately see what kind of demonic beasts Qai was trying to hide.

And with his quick thinking, the chief librarian also got instantly curious as to how many beasts Qai's spatial pendant could actually hold.

"I'll show them to you once we get to your courtyard."
