The female cultivator had a really pretty face even with her annoyed expression and creased brows.

Her name was Dong Fei and she was indeed Dong Li's big sister.

The siblings' parents had apparently died in a fight over a disputed business transaction with a major sect merchant a year after Dong Li was born.

Dong Fei thus was practically left with an infant when she was young. She had once a promising future with her Metal elemental affinity and had been her parents' pride so she was nurtured well with the occupational crafting skills.

But after the sibling's parents were killed, she had to look after Dong Li.

Back then, Dong Fei hoped that once her younger brother awakened his elemental affinity and become a cultivator himself, she would able to get the two of them into a sect.

Unfortunately, things did not go according to her plans. So she could not do freely as she wanted as she was left with her 'mortal' brother.

For few years after being orphaned, she tried to make a living for the two of them out of her crafted weapons and armors but the the Sun City's highly competitive market and the absence of any backing made business difficult for her.

But after her brother failed to awaken his elemental affinity, her outlook on life turned sour.

She could not hate Dong Li but she could not move on either from hitting rock bottom. If only she had the heart and face to leave his brother alone, then she might be able to regain her once bright future—but having already lost her parents, she could not simply afford everything she had left.

As a result, her dejected sentiments together with the siblings already miserable condition turned them from once an affluent family into impoverished siblings.

**************

Qai, on the other hand, was definitely taken aback by the attitude shown by the supposed female cultivator merchant in front of him.

He did not know what to do as he wanted to leave immediately without awkwardly offending the siblings.

However, Dong Fei quickly took her Sledge Hammer and gestured like she wanted to chase Qai and her brother away.

"Wait..," Dong Li uncomfortably pleaded. "He's the young master I was talking about."

"Ah."

Qai's expression felt even more embarrassed by what the young mortal said. Although he did know what the words truly meant, he somehow figured out that Dong Li must mean about hiring him some days ago.

The two gold coins he lavishly gave actually timely saved the siblings from some Dark Shadow Clan people who came to collect their debts.

Dong Fei on the other hand tried to calm herself down. At least she felt that she must at least thank Qai for his generosity.

Seeing that his big sister had finally relaxed, Dong Li gained the momentum to explain his side.

"Young master," he said with a grin. "This is actually my sister and she's a Sky stage Sage blacksmith."

By intentionally revealing that Dong Fei was in the Sky stage, it meant that it should be understood that she was equipped with 'Supreme Crafting' skill.

Qai's eyes grew bright at the news.

Dong Li directed Qai inside the small cabin and excitedly explained to his big sister that Qai was actually looking for an inner armor for himself.

"We don't sell ready made armors here," Dong Fei explained. "I only craft per request and you have to pay not only for the finished product but also for the design."

She actually said it hurriedly with a bit of harsh tone as if she was indirectly chasing Qai away.

However, Dong Fei made it clear that what separated true blacksmith genius from mediocre ones were how a talented one intricately could make his own 'designs.'

"That's great," Qai replied. "I actually have my own preference."

Qai of course preferred that his inner armor would be made from Metal element Sage demonic beast. But it actually surprised him to learn that he could actually purchase one which was specifically designed for him.

"We don't have the materials you want..," Dong Fei made an excuse.

But even before she could even finish her point, Qai quickly made a gestured and took out several pieces of various items from his spatial ring.

"Ah."

The siblings were dumbfounded at the sight of valuable items in front of them.

What bared them were actually demonic beast hides and cores, and even herbs, Qai actually collected on his trip from Jiang City to Sun City.

But he specifically placed on top the ones from Earth and Sky stages Sage demonic beasts with Earth and Metal elemental affinities.

"Would these be enough!?"

Dong Li, being mortal, was not particularly familiar with all the things Qai showed—but having witnessed his big sister craft some items before, he knew how of great value they actually were.

And he knew, that they were way too much for just a single set of inner armors.

Qai, on the other hand, could easily predict the siblings reaction. He could already be considered a wealthy cultivator—at least from the Experts' and Sages' standards.

"Take them all," he urged.

He just grinned with a slight rub on the tip of his nose before he said another word.

"The excess will be my payment for the services."
