Inside the Purple Mist Sect Master's palace, Shu family head Shu Wei, together with Shu Wu and Elder 'Fatty' Lu were patiently waiting for the arrival of the Emperor Void.

All three of them apparently braved the sect's territory in order to seek an advice directly from the Sect Master himself. The three of them were now all in Sky stages of the Sage realm so crossing through the forest was a lot easier than several years ago.

And after hours of waiting, Emperor Void finally arrived—of course, through the use of his famed teleportation skill called 'Warp.'

"Greetings Sect Master," the three Shu family higher ups respectfully greeted in chorus.

"What brings my friends from 'The Hunters' Plateau' here in the Sect territory?" The Emperor quickly asked with a slight smile.

"Esteemed Emperor," Shu Wei politely spoke, "we come to seek your opinion about one of our outer disciples."

"Oh," the Sect Master mumbled. "I was expecting it was about little Qai.. how was he doing by the way?"

"He is currently in an adventure within our Stonecrest region, Esteemed Emperor," the Shu family head replied, "so far we have no news about him."

"I see," the Sect Master answered.

Apart from being really interested in any story about his litte friend, the emperor was also hoping he would hear any update from Qai about the other uses of the spatial pendant.

"And what about the outer disciple you were talking about," the Sect Master asked.

Shu Wei then took a glace at his son, Shu Wu, the family's elder taking care of the outer the outer disciples.

Shu Wu, on the other hand, took a step forward and took a deep breath before saying any word.

"Esteemed Emperor," he respectfully said. "One of our disciples named Yuan, a kid we took in from the bandits a couple of years ago, had just awakened his elemental affinity."

"And what does it have to do with my advice?" The emperor asked in confusion.

"We are not too sure," Shu Wu quickly replied, "but we think that he awakened with the ancient element Darkness."

"Darkness!?" The Sect Master exclaimed.

In astonishment, the Emperor, in fact, suddenly stood from where he was seated with his eyes popping out.

In the cultivation world, there were only two known Ancient elemental attributes, namely, Light and Darkness.

They were the rarest from all the rare elements in the sense that seldom those elements appear—not even among the demonic and divine beasts.

***************

Few days earlier, back in the Shu family's plateau, Yuan emerged from his room with a weird Qi aura.

In excitement, the youth ran to Shu Wu to report his transition from being mortal to finally becoming a cultivator.

But instead of being excited, Shu Wu was dumbfounded at the sight of Yuan. He initially thought it was Void attribute, but with serious glance, one could figure out that the child did not awaken Void elemental affinity.

Shu Wu then asked Yuan to infuse his hand with his Qi, and there and then, before his eyes, black-colored smoke-like shadows enveloped the child's hand.

Shu Wu then hastily took the child to his father who happened to be discussing things with Elder 'Fatty' Lu.

Upon seeing it themselves and upon careful analysis, it was then that the three decided that they would need the advice of the Emperor Void regarding the matter.

***************

After the Sect Master regained from shock, he once again took his seat and started thinking.

"Hmmm," he said. "It is indeed a problem."

He then looked in the eyes of his three guests and sighed.

"What is your plan with this child?" He asked.

"That is why we came here, Esteemed Emperor," Elder 'Fatty' Lu respectfully answered. "We do not actually know what to do.. our foremost problem is where to find skills."

"Indeed," the Sect Master said. "It is not like having one of the two ancient elements is a guarantee that the cultivator will be strong."

What the Emperor Void said was true.

While the ancient elements seemed powerful just by its name, it does not necessarily follow that they were always the superior elements. Even if a cultivator awakened a special elemental attribute, his strength would still depend whether or not he would be able to breakthrough to higher realms.

"Conversely," the Sect Master, "it was difficult, as you say, to obtain suitable skills for such cultivator."

In truth, there was another way—and that was for such cultivator to equip either common or unique class skill scrolls as they do not require specific elemental attribute. Of the two classes, the unique ones were hard to come by.

But if a cultivator fully equipped skills of only common class, then he would have like a 'broken' cultivation path.

"There is only one cultivator I know who has the same Darkness elemental affinity," the Sect Master revealed.

The eyes of the three guests from the 'The Hunters' Plateau' clearly showed excitement and hope at the same time.

"But I am not too sure if you could seek his help," the Emperor Void worriedly added.

"Eh!?"

"His name is Emperor Heian..," he finally revealed.

The Shu family guests obviously were clueless about the name of the cultivator the Sect Master mentioned as their eyes were in deep inquisitive look.

The Emperor then sighed after a brief pause.

"The Sect Master of the great Heavenly Dragon Sect of the Kunlun Mountains."
