Nobody knew how the young sect genius killed the middle aged Sky stage Sage except for one.

From the moment the youth appeared in the inn, Qai had steadily activated his 'Hawkeye' skill and tried to analyze the strength of the Heaven stage Sage youth.

It was then that he saw the Wind attribute skill that finished off the Sky stage Sage.

The sect genius apparently had hidden himself too deeply—even with Qai's 'Hawkeye' skill, he only saw glimpses of the Wind attribute in the skill.

It was activated too swiftly that it almost appeared that the sect genius did not lift a finger.

"Hmmm," the youth murmured.

The sect genius turned a gaze on Qai who was seated in a corner. He obviously felt that somebody had locked his eyes on him.

Qai trembled uneasily and quickly withheld his 'Hawkeye' skill. He knew he was caught but fortunately the sect genius had not done anything.

Unknown to many, the sect genius was wearing an 'Inheritance' rank inner armor called 'Azure Wind Armor' that actually triples his speed.

With his already fast Wind elemental affinity, wearing such inheritance was like adding wings to a tiger.

Thus in truth, the activated skill was just like any other powerful rare Wind sage grade skill—it was just that the addition of the Inheritance item made the skill unfathomable.

And apparently the reason why this sect genius was bent on venturing to the forbidden 'Hundred Graves' was to look for more Inheritance rank items.

With hundreds of Emperors who died within the forbidden grounds, there would absolutely be some items of such calibre left behind with their bodies. One only had to search diligently to chance upon such fortune.

Qai was definitely clueless about Inheritance items so he wouldn't be able to guess that the youth had one. He may have not even heard what an Inheritance was—in fact, even his 'precious' Darkwood Composite Bow could only be considered an ordinary 'Master' grade crafted weapon that suits his current level.

Qai let out a breath and his back was filled with sweat after the sect genius withheld his gaze on him.

It didn't last more than a couple of breaths but it felt the longest day in his life. Even after he faced the mid Heaven stage of Sage realm Black Shadow Clan elder in a life and death battle, he felt that this youth was more powerful that he could kill a cultivator lower than him with just one look.

On the other hand, the sect genius was himself shocked that a mere initial Sky stage Sage seemed to have seen through his skill.

But after some thoughts, he did not bother Qai believing that an ant could not do anything to him since he believed that no one was his match below the Emperor realm.

He didn't even bother a couple of half-step Sages from slowly plundering the dead body's spatial ring and other items. It should have been the sect genius' spoils of war and the act of the two was obviously courting death.

The two were very fearful while doing it but seeing that the youth did not pay attention to them, they simply bowed to him after taking the items.

Such changes of attitude shown by the sect genius confused everyone in the inn. To them, he simply appeared too deep.

None bothered him from thereon and they concluded that the youth just wanted to be alone.

****************

Meanwhile, back in 'The Hunter's Plateau,' the Protectors Liu Hei and Liu Hua, had just finished building their manor.

The spouses handed Su Yu and Jing some rare cultivating pills as a sign if gratitude for helping the couple construct their home.

The eyes of the two bulged at the sight of the pill—those were enough for them to breakthrough to the next level in no time.

The manor moreover was intricately designed and had several divisions which include alchemy, forgery, refining and cultivating rooms. It also had a medium-sized courtyard in front which was obviously built to host sparring sessions and large enough not to destroy the surrounding buildings.

Liu Hei consequently requested Shu Wei that he would personally take care of the two domesticated Dire Wolves which were now at mid Earth stage of the Sage realm in his own manor as he got fond of Qai's tamed demonic beasts.

Shu Wei felt that Qai wouldn't mind it so he decided to give in to the Protector's request.

Thus, with the Storm Bear already placed in the family head's house, what remained in the beasts' shed was the Battle Ox which would obviously be utilized for transport of merchandise to Jiang City.

News about the a new Emperor joining the Shu family quickly spread in the surrounding areas particularly Jiang City and the Moon and Gale Villages.

Soon thereafter, Patriarch Mo Chen and the village chiefs of the two nearby villages came to visit.

The the village chiefs in particular were wary that the Shu family was slowly building its strength to suppress the villages and rule over them.

Even the town of Han Valley did not have an emperor. By that alone, the strength of the entire Shu family instantly became comparable to most clans in the Jiang City.

Mo Chen on the other hand personally knew the spouse since the couple stayed for some time in Jiang City but he was surprised to learn that the two joined the Shu family.

While he was not personally worried by their act of joining the 'The Hunter's Plateau,' he was nevertheless intrigued to know what made them choose the Shu family.

That was because, back in Jiang City, all of the clans and families in the city had tried their best to recruit the couple but none had succeeded—even the Mo Clan who had good standing in the city failed to do so.

'Weng.'

Once again the, the Shu family's plateau trembled.

"Another emperor!?"
