The group leader was once again stunned at the sight of Qai disappearing into the shadows.

He knew he had lost all his hope to rob Qai—much less to survive from the hands of such scary opponent.

Apart from his enemy having higher cultivation, Qai also had the ability to turn invisible and a contracted demonic beast. It was like adding wings to a tiger. So he immediately turned his back and leapt away from Qai to try to escape.

But Qai simply activated his 'Hawkeye' skill and took a deep breath. He then drew his Darkwood Composite Bow from his spatial ring and quickly unleashed three arrow strikes straight to the exposed back and legs of the fleeing Sage cultivator.

'Swooosh,' 'swooosh,' 'swooosh.'

'Baaam,' 'baaam,' 'baaam.'

The group leader's movement was suddenly halted due to the stunning effects of the infused lighting Qi.

"Arghh."

Qai then rushed forward with his 'Flash' skill and once again called forth Shandian and simultaneously unleashed a barrage of punches.

'Roooaaaaar.'

'Lightning Fist.'

'Thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud,' 'thud.'

With the much improved skills of Qai, the target's body eventually got dismantled so bad that limbs and extremities were eventually scattered on the ground.

Qai thereafter quickly checked the dead body of the enemy and took his spatial ring to see if he had any treasure. Unfortunately, even this leader did not possess any Inheritance rank items.

The forbidden Hundred Graves did indeed only have a handful of treasures—no wonder, other groups were tempted to just rob those who had the better fortune inside the forbidden grounds.

But even then, the total wealth of the group of five cultivators was not really bad. Although they did not have 'Spirit Stones,' they still possessed several silver and gold plus herbs and cores. To many, it could be said that they were wealthy group of vagrant cultivators.

Qai eventually decided not to stay in the forest to cultivate and felt that it was better for him to proceed with his journey to the south thinking that the group may not be the last who had the desire to come after his treasures.

Back in Sun City, he learned few things from where he could find plenty of both flying wild and demonic beasts—the mountainous range of Yellow Springs.

**************

The Yellow Springs, while it was a largely a long stretch of precipitous body of land, was called such for having found in the last thousands of years with several small spots of water source that was said to be filled with pure Qi.

Those springs may have the same effect as the thick mist when Qai and Ji Wuheng absorbed it back when the two cultivated inside the forbidden Hundred Graves near the ancient Teleportation Array. And they could do even more as some believed those springs had extreme healing power.

And although, at present, those spots had drastically decreased in number due to the constant visit of powerful cultivators—some were destroyed, some eventually ran dry—it could be said that there may be more uncovered springs especially those hidden deep in the mountains.

However, due to its natural richness in Qi, plenty of high leveled demonic beasts, especially flying ones, were known to have lurked around the area so it was practically a highly dangerous place to venture in. Thus, the water springs that could be said to be left those beyond the reach of ordinary cultivators.

And one of the known monstrous beasts which was believed to have ruled the entire Yellow Springs was the King Roc Eagle—one of the known few Divine existences in the continent through the course of history.

Whether such divine beast was still in existence or not was yet to be confirmed. Technically, none in the entire continent had the sufficient ability to find it out and survive at the same time.

*************

'I don't need to go deep in the mountains,' Qai said to himself.

Qai was actually determined to venture in the periphery of the area to tame his flying steed.

'I only needed a wild flying beast with rare breed that's all,' he thought.

What Qai thought was true. It should be noted that he didn't need in fact to encounter a demonic beast since he could practically tame only beasts still in their 'wild' state so there was no reason for him to expose himself to danger.

In his estimation, Qai would probably reach the forefront of the mountain range within a month in his current speed.

'I hope I would have enough time to go back to the plateau before the Gathering of the Five Great Clans,' he thought.

Qai no longer planned to stay long in any town or village along the way. If necessary, he would just drop by some shops in order to either replenish his resources or sell the things he did not need.

At this moment of his journey, he did not want to encounter more troubles than he already had. There were only two thing left he wanted to do within the remaining period—to tame his desired flying beast and, if possible, to breakthrough to another level.

And so without further dawdle, he checked his spatial rings and their contents. And right after ascertaining that everything was ready, he sped his way towards the direction of the Yellow Springs.
