Qai dug some more until the hole was enough for him and Shandian to submerge their bodies.

He thought that he would not only have some drink from the water spring but also bathe with it while cultivating. Even if he had no idea what would the effect be if he bathed with it, but he was intent on doing the same.

And when the pit got filled with water, he first took some of the water and filled his water gourd before summoning Shandian and his Dawn Turtle.

The three quickly drank some.

Instantly, the dense Qi energy flowed through their meridians towards their dantian purifying their Qi.

Qai and Shandian's Lightning Qi turned from pure white to purplish color and carried with it a much stronger destructive power.

In comparison, it could be said that the previously absorbed Qi from the forbidden Hundred Graves have way for Qai's skills to improve drastically but this water on the other hand improved their elemental affinity.

That was why many first believed that the water springs could improve skills—it was because, in truth, the elemental affinity was basically 'purified.'

He quickly took a look at his Dawn Turtle and observed any changes since he knew that his domesticated demonic beasts could not awaken any elemental affinity.

His eyes grew large in excitement. The water was indeed miraculous.

To his surprise, there were some faint ripples of Metal elemental affinity radiating form his Dawn Turtle.

The energy ripples did not have the the same quality as that of elemental demonic beasts—but Qai felt that he just broke through a new discovery.

Since there were only few cultivators who had chosen the path of 'Beast Taming,' there were probably none in the past who had gotten hold of the water spring to try it on their tamed beasts.

Qai's excitement could not be contained. It was unfortunate that he could not bring all of his tamed beasts. And he did not when would he be able to get back in the Yellow Springs and if the particular spring he found would still be there.

'If only I could find more springs,' Qai sighed.

The spot was near the outskirts and the chances of it being found out soon by other adventurers soon was high. So in his mind, the small spring he found would soon run dry.

He quickly took out any form of container he could find in his spatial ring and filled them up as well with the miraculous water and planned to have all his domesticated demonic beasts drink some of it.

Unfortunately, he hadn't brought a lot of containers so he could only fetch few.

Thereafter, the three immersed themselves in the water and cultivated.

Gradually, the purplish color from Qai and Shandian's Lightning element became brighter while the Dawn Turtle's Metal element showed signs of properly awakening.

Qai thus decided to stay some more until his Dawn Turtle fully awaken its elemental affinity.

Indeed, after three days of cultivating in the water, not only their elemental affinities transformed into another level, but that his domesticated Dawn Turtle had now beaming with his own Metal attribute.

Right at this moment, Qai had the sense of urgency all the more to tame his desired flying steed so he could also immerse it in the spring he found.

There was barely few months left so he had to hurry.

Thus he got out from the pit he made and summoned his tamed demonic beasts back to his 'Chui Shi.'

But before he left, he wisely sealed the small cave in the hope of conceal the water spring from other adventurers.

***************

Back in 'The Hunters' Plateau,' family head Shu Wei had started to discreetly announce within the nearby villages and towns that the Shu family would be recruiting at most ten outer disciples.

Upon consultation with Protector Liu Hei, ten outer disciples would be ideal.

Unlike sects and other clans which required outer to have awakened their elemental affinity, the Shu family was recruiting five to six year old children—or simply put, those who have yet awakened their elemental affinities.

And even if some of them failed to awaken any elemental affinity, they would relegate them as service disciples of the family just like Dong Li in Sun City.

And since the family's number would instantly grow with the advent of new outer disciples, they thought of implementing the so-called contribution points just like what sects normally did.

Apart from main tasks of outer disciples remained as herb gatherers and tending to the domesticated demonic beasts, they would also be assigned to assist the families cultivators.

Shu Wei did not know that his announcement would be a big hit as many families from the nearby villages arrived one after another bringing their sons and daughters to join 'The Hunters' Plateau.'

Some even had brought gifts to the family just to ascertain their children's spot in recruitment.

Thanks to the news of the establishment of Shu family's shop in Sun City, the arrival of the Emperor Protector and of the Peerless Five in the plateau, the family's reputation in the surrounding territories had suddenly bloomed.

But that did not mean that everything was going smooth in the family.

Just as what Shu Wei feared before—he didn't want to draw too much attention with the family's rise.

There were those obviously jealous families and clans who didn't want to see some other families getting stronger.

"Family head," Jing reported, "we just received another challenge letter from a branch Heng family in Jiang City."

"Ah."
