The Purple Mist Sect Headmaster, who was at the initial heaven stage realm, was known as Master Han.

But because of his Void elemental affinity, he was often called 'Emperor Void.' His skills as a cultivator were quite known--as a matter of fact, he was one of those who had actually learned a total of 9 skills in all.

His first five skills were the full 'Forging' skills--obviously following the occupational path early in his life--and that 'Warp' which he activated earlier was his sixth skill. The rest of his skills were all rare emperor grade Void skills.

***************

While everyone was on their knees, the sect headmaster were sizing up his guests' cultivation level. He could actually recognize the two village heads but to the rest of the group, he simply had no idea.

And in the middle of observation, the sect headmaster, like many, was surprised to see a tamed demonic beast.

It was obviously unexpected--due to the fact that rarely had any cultivator tamed a demonic beast--but somehow he felt that there was some unique flare coming from the tamed black tiger. He just couldn't figure out what it was.

Soon thereafter he started to speak.

"What brings our village people here in the sect?" the emperor asked.

His words were calm--actually devoid of any arrogance--but nobody dared to answer.

Realizing that the sect's guests were being suppressed by his aura, he immediately held his aura back.

"My bad," the sect headmaster apologized. "Let me ask you again, tell me your purpose for your visit."

The Gale Village chief was the bravest one to answer first.

"Esteemed Emperor.. we heard of the news of your plan to enter the Desolate Wasteland," he said very politely.

"We are from the Gale and Moon villages.. and we actually come here to be of service to the Purple Mist Sect," he added.

"Hmmn," the headmaster smirked. "I do not see on what qualification you, village people, could be of any help.. please enlighten me."

He wasn't purposely threatening or testing them. The sect headmaster was actually trying to be honest.

"Headmaster.., it was actually my family's idea," Shu Wei suddenly interjected.

"And who might this Sage be?" the emperor asked.

"My name is Shu Wei, Headmaster.., and these two are my sons," he replied while gesturing his hands introducing his children.

The Purple Mist Sect headmaster responded with Shu Wei's gesture with a glance at the two.

"Good.. good..," the emperor said, "..the younger one has a decent cultivation.. if I'm not mistaken, that Lightning black tiger is your contracted beast, right."

Qai was surprised with the sudden question.

"That is correct, Esteemed Emperor," Qai answered--still on his knees.

Only after seeing Qai struggling on his knees did the sect headmaster noticed that they were still kneeling.

"Ho ho, my mistake again.. please please.. plase rise.. why don't we head first to the guest area.. and Chu Feng..," the sect headmaster said, "..please call a servant and let him bring us some tea."

***************

While in the guest area, the sect headmaster started to continue with the conversation.

"You can call me Master Han," he said after sipping his tea. "What was it again you were saying Master Shu Wei?"

"Master Han," Shu Wei replied. "Our family actually owns a piece of land a few miles away from the entrance to the wasteland.. I believe it's the nearest human settlement from there."

"Hmmn..," Master Han curled his brows in reply, "..and what are you suggesting with those words."

"My family and the nearby villages have nothing but benefit from the Sect's plan to enter the Wasteland.. so we thought of embarrassingly taking advantage of the situation," Shu Wei explained. Afterwhich, he took a deep breath before he continued.

"We owned an inn in my territory.. and as of now, cultivators are little by little flocking in the Darkwood Forest because of the news of the wasteland affair and our inn is obviously benefiting from the presence of the cultivators," he added.

He paused for a moment, but before he could continue his thorough explanation, the Moon Village chief took his chance to also say a word. Clearly, he never wanted to be outdone in the face of a great emperor.

"Our small villages together with the Shu family agreed to join hands to help the sect in hosting the event," he said.

"We felt that making use of the Shu family's territory as the gathering place for the event is a good choice.. and we came here with that proposal to the sect.. our two villages plan to build more spaces for cultivators to rest.. so please allow us to benefit from your sect's affair, Esteemed Headmaster," he added with great reverence towards the end of his tone.

After those words, the emperor asked a lot of questions how would they actually cover all the necessary preparations should he approve of their request.

Surprisingly, the two village heads and Shu Wei came prepared. All three of them shared everything in detail.

The sect headmaster was pleased with their good intentions--especially after some more explanations from his village guests.

When the sect actually conceptualized the event, it was initially for the benefit of the sect disciples. So 'accomodation' was never really a concern, since the sect can go straight to the wasteland without wasting any moment.

But with the prior insistence of the sect elders, the sect extended an open invitations to clans and cultivators of the region.

Having opened the event to others, the sect eventually failed to see the repercussion of a large gathering and overlooked an important aspect of the event--that is, the gathering area!

But with the enlightening request coming from his humble guests--and mere 'villagers' at that--the emperor suddenly realized the sect's own miscalculations.
