Duan Mu was about to retaliate at the attitude Qai had shown but Mo Shui, who figured out that unnecessary fight would ensue, instantly appeared beside the two.

"Alright, alright.. 'Mr. Nobody,' what are you suggesting we should do?" she asked.

The sect disciples who got confused with the fast flow of things had mixed reactions. They wanted to get rid of Qai having offended Duan Mu but they wanted to hear him out as well--that was because they cannot let more muggers discover the place.

"It's like this," Qai replied and sighed.

Everybody looked at him while holding their breaths and patiently waited for what he was about to say.

"You guys can form a team to guard the entrance and create some confusion," he explained. "That team.. has to be enough to intimidate other groups.. and to be fair.. it should be from members of both of your groups."

'A team?' many silently asked within themselves.

They hadn't thought of it since they were all greedily in excitement at the sight of the cauldron--no one among them was willing to be left out; no one wanted to stay outside and guard.

"I myself will join that team.. on the condition that I will also get a treasure or two," he added trying to avoid any more bad impression while rubbing his nose with a grin on his face.

Qai just got a treasure--but everyone had already forgotten that Qai had got a scroll because everyone was still into deep contemplation of the suggestion. Now Qai was shamelessly asking for 2 more.

Nobody could predict how many treasures the huge cauldron contain, so Duan Mu, who appeared to have assumed leadership of the entire Purple Mist Sect delegation agreed.

"Alright, two treasures would be fine--one should pay you for the suggestion, and another for guarding the entrance," he said.

'We can kill you later anyway,' Duan Mu thought.

"We still have at least two weeks to spend inside this Desolate Wasteland..," Qai remarked in reply.

"You can wait around that huge cauldron for an entire week if you like.. I suppose that thing would be empty by then," Qai concluded.

'Ploooof.'

"Ah."

As if perfectly timed, another treasure flew out of the cauldron right after Qai finished his words.

This time, one of the sect disciples was quick to react. He rushed towards the direction and perfectly caught the tresure in midair.

It was another unique class skill scroll. That said disciple no longer had the interest to look into the scroll--he quickly placed it inside his spatial ring. All those collected by the disciples would be surrendered to the sect anyway. In return, the sect participants will be rewarded handsomely by the sect evenly.

**************

After having agreed with Qai's suggestion, two teams, composed of four members each, were formed.

The purpose of the teams was mainly to cover the entrance and confuse all the other teams who would enter the palace.

The first team consisted of Qai, the other Black Shadow member and two other sect disciples--this group's main task was to roam around the entire building and find opportunity to attack other groups.

The other team was composed of Hao Ren, Lin Qiao and two other sect disciples--this group's main task is to stay near the entrance and never allow any group to find it.

Teng Hu and Mo Shui stayed with the rest of the Purple Mist Sect disciples to collect everything the cauldron would throw out.

Before getting out of the dungeon however, Qai mentally instructed Shandian to stay put and watch over the cauldron. Shu Liang understood what Qai wanted and stayed on guard.

**************

Soon the two teams went to stay above the ground of the Soaring Sky palace.

Qai's team immediately started their work. The group roamed around from room to room to check if any one from outside had already gotten in the building.

They were not supposed to kill everyone on sight. It was more desirable if they could simply convince anyone to to turn back since the building appeared to be empty.

But if things would turn out sour, they were ready to give anyone a fight.

On the other hand, Hao Ren's team simply hid themselves near the dungeon entrance and tried to block anyone from getting in--and made sure to use force should someone insisted.

Both teams would carry the banner of the Purple Mist Sect to put a lot of pressure on anyone they meet.

"We should split ourselves into two," Qai suggersted his team members.

"Eh."
