True enough, the bandit boss called for all the commanders of bandit groups.

"Gather them up," the bandit boss instructed one of his aides.

The servant immediately went his way to call each and every bandit leader and assistant leaders. And in just few moments of time, the main tent of the bandits' hideout were instantly filled with more or less a hundred of sages mostly in the sky stages.

"Everyone listen up," the boss called.

One could see in everyone's eyes the mixed feeling of both fear and respect. The boss was obviously lording it over his subordinates—his domineering authority was second to none.

"Anytime soon..," he said, "..this territory of ours will be invaded by cultivators.."

Those present were not surprised by the announcement. The news about the bandits' extermination was already spread so there was nothing for them to be shocked.

"We the hunters will become the hunted..," the boss continued. "And it is unfortunate that they got in their hands a copy of our map.."

The boss sighed and briefly paused.

"I heard the Han Valley has recruited allies to exterminate us.. but I say those bastards won't be able to destroy us..," he continued.

"So we better set up our defenses and prepare for their arrival.. and show them that we are not afraid of them..," he exclaimed in an overbearing fashion which uplifted the spirits of the bandit leaders in front of him.

Thereafter, the entire meeting went on to discuss how to anticipate the incoming fight as they planned to fortify their traps and their defensive formations as well.

Meanwhile, Shu Wu and Qai together with Shandian went to the Darkwood Forest to join Shu Liang and the other two members of the team. The two brothers again rode the War Horses and also brought with them the Dire Wolves.

This time, they were planning to execute their full team attack while mounting the demonic beasts. 'The Hunters' Plateau' team members of five were actually planning to ride Qai's domesticated and contracted demonic beasts as part of their offensive formation.

Thus, the team would actually look like this: Jing and Xiao Ning shall mount the mid Heaven stage War Horses while Shu Wu and Shu Liang shall take the half-step sage Dire Wolves while Qai shall mount Shandian, his contracted black tiger demonic beast.

That way, the total force of the Shu family's team would be instantly doubled.

And so as soon as the Shu brothers reached Shu Liang, Xiao Ning and Jing, the team immediately went to train as a mounted unit.

Unlike Shandian, even if the four domesticated demonic beasts did not have elemental affinity, their common Expert grade skills of 'Claw' and 'Stomp' were still additional attacks that could not simply be ignored.

Shandian's skills and level on the other hand would truly be a force to reckon with—particularly its sage grade skill 'Thunderbolt.'

In fact, Shu Wu suggested that Shandian should not easily use the skill but that the team should make use of it as secret weapon and let enemies underestimate the team's true strength.

The combined six-man team of both Moon and Gale villages also started its training—they in fact went to the northern portion of the Darkwood Forest to hone their team battle tactics.

The Mo Clan team members to be lead by Elder Long, on the other hand, need not much exposure. The disciples had been training together for years—so instead of training elsewhere, the team opted to train in the clan's premises. Elder Long himself supervised its training in accordance to the style which would compliment his skills.

One of the disciples the elder specifically chose was his own apprentice Lin Qiao, who also participated in the Wasteland event—and she was unexpectedly already at the peak of Earth stage of the sage realm.

Both master and apprentice were of Fire elemental affinity who opted the path of attack skills rather than alchemy—both of their offenses would be expected to wreak havoc in the approaching bandit extermination.

Soon the area around Han Valley evidently got a lot busier than usual.

Traders who got the news of the event started flocking the town as time passed by—and the streets of the Han Valley were instantly filled with several cultivators.

Shu Wei together with his wife Shu Ling plus Yu Yue also arrived early in the Han Valley—they were there to set up the Shu family's shop in the town square to take advantage of the current flock of cultivators.

"Master Shu Wei," the chief Xing Yi respectfully called.

"Greetings chief," Shu Wei replied politely with a bow.

"I can finally express my thanks in person," the chief said. "I'm glad you come personally to witness this event.."

"Oh..," Shu Wei humbly remarked, "..it should be my family who should say thanks.. we're to take advantage of the opportunity extended to us.."

The chief simply smiled in response and slightly bowed before the three members of the Shu family.

"Welcome to Han Valley," the chief greeted. "Please feel free to ask if you have a need of anything."
