Indeed, one of the reasons why the bandits' force had grown to such an extent as to overmatch the entire Han Valley was that children whom the bandits caught to be sold were at times subsequently recruited in exchange for their freedom.

A bandit's organization in a cultivation world had practically little to offer compared to a sect or clans who have the wealth of resources. And so in order to gain the services of cultivators to join their fold, the bandits would do even some dirty tactics.

And they specifically chose to fool little children who had yet awaken any elemental affinity for two reasons—they were easier to brainwash with their age and they were easier to dispose of if they turned out to have little or no potential at all.

"We have no idea how many children are there..," Shu Wu told the other members of the team, ".. let's just hope all of them will be saved tomorrow and not get dragged down by the fight."

**************

The following morning, Han Valley chief Xing Yi once again gathered all the leaders of the team and instructed them the strategy for the attack.

"These are two main encampments where we should focus our strength..," the chief said as he pointed to the locations marked in the map.

"This is supposed to be the hideout where the boss is..," one elder mentioned. And the three teams from the big clans together with the teams from the Han Valley shall lead the attack.."

"Elder Long," the chief called. "We might need your strength in this one.. we have a hunch that the bandit boss could be at the emperor level."

Elder Long nodded and did not say any other word.

After those words, the chief then told the rest of the team of their tasks.

'The Hunters' Plateau' team was also assigned to lead the other teams to attack the encampment believed to be the location of the low-leveled bandits.

"Remember, everyone..," the chief reminded, "..we have to believe that the bandits are already aware of our presence.. thus, the element of surprise may not be in our favor.."

The Han Valley chief then the took a deep breath before she concluded her words.

"Instead..," she said, "..be prepared for any eventual ambush that the bandits may have set up against us.."

All the cultivators who heard the words of the chief agreed. They knew that even if they have the advantage in numbers, the bandits had the advantage of familiarity of the terrain which could be utilized to reduce their size gradually by setting them up with traps.

"It's time."

"Let's go."

With those words, all the participating teams rushed to get into their battle formations and charged into the bandits territory.

***************

Meanwhile, within 'The Hunters' Plateau' team, additional orders were being given.

"Little Qai," Shu Wu called.

"Yes, big brother," Qai asked in reply.

"When everyone is busily making way to the bandits encampments, take Jing and Shandian with you..," Shu Wu instructed, "..and ambush those guarding the cave.. be careful not to rush inside.. but if you feel the three of you can handle everything, do what you must.."

Qai simply nodded with a grin. Jing who learned the 'Poison Haze' was a tailor fit to attack the cave. And with Qai and Shandian's combination of attacks, the plan would easily be a success.

"The rest of us together with the beasts shall join the extermination," Shu Wu added.

Shu Liang was about to inquire something but Shu Wu was quick to follow up his instructions.

"And when we're done, we shall go immediately and save the children..," he added.

It was exactly what Shu Liang was about to ask.

To Shu Wu's mind, there was no need to rush to save the prisoners as the fight would alarm every bandit and the likelihood that the bandits in that area shall be summoned to join the battle was high.

Without any further question, the team also rushed with the rest of the cultivators.

The travel from their camp to the bandits encampment would not take too long—and so in just less than an hour those cultivators who specialized in speed already reached their designated positions.

With around a thousand cultivators heading their way to the bandits territory, Qai and Jing's sneak into another location was unnoticed—except for Lin Qiao who took a look at 'The Hunters' Plateau' team and found that a familiar face was missing.

'What could the Shu family be planning?' She thought to herself.

Lin Qiao was already familiar with the way Qai and the Shu family cunningly dealt with things as she saw it herself first hand—so she was not truly surprised with the turn of events. She was in fact curious as to what the Shu family was scheming this time.

But even after realizing that something must be going on with 'The Hunters' Plateau' team, Lin Qiao was not the person to delve deeply into it.

'Whatever it is, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be big,' she thought.
