"Xiao Ning," Shu Liang called.

Xiao Ning was only able to control a small radius of vines and trap three targets at most—that explained why she was stupefied by the Han Valley chief's way of using 'Burgeon.'

With Shu Liang's words, Xiao Ning awoke from her shock as she sat on top of a War Horse at the back of 'The Hunters' Plateau' team formation.

"Gather yourself up and focus your attention on the incoming bandits," Shu Liang reminded to which Xiao Ning nodded in embarrassment.

"We better get ready," Shu Wu spoke as he got in the front of the team on a War Horse.

Shu Liang stood on the middle with two dire Wolves each on her side while Xiao Ning was behind as she specialized in control skills. Thus, the formation of the 'The Hunters' Plateau' team looked like a plus sign.

Shu Wu fortified their defenses against the rockslide by continuously replenishing his 'Elemental Wall' and let the rest of the team do the attacking.

"Xiao Ning, trap them as much as you can and let me and the wolves do the rest," Shu Liang said.

"Ayt," Xiao Ning softly said.

All the other teams also got into the positions as the advancing bandits took the advantage of rushing behind the rockslide. The uphill terrain indeed left the Han Valley in the defensive position.

"Kill as much as you can," Han Valley chief Xing Yi yelled. "Leave the boss and the other leaders to us."

Booom,' 'booom,' 'booom,' 'booom,' 'booom,' 'booom,' 'booom,' 'booom,' 'booom,' 'booom.'

Fireballs once again rained down from mid air relentlessly attacking a portion of the attacking bandits.

"Are we really just gonna watch?" A Purple Mist Sect disciple told his fellow disciples.

Unknown to Han Valley and bandits, three sect disciples were watching the fight from afar.

"They look like having fun," another one remarked.

"The Sect Master sternly warned us not to get too engrossed watching to the point of us joining the fight," the other disciple answered. "Our task is to report the sect the details of the battle."

"Well..," the second disciple added, "its pretty obvious that this kind of battle is too petty for the sect to interfere.."

"Indeed," the third one said.

In a cultivation world, the overlord of a region would not exercise a policy under its jurisdiction to hinder a fight between two parties should they decided to settle it with strength.

In fact, even if the bandits were treated as public enemy, they were still considered a cultivating group—and as such, their existence was tolerated.

Unless the bandits attempted to fight the overlord himself, such 'overlord' would not think of eliminating its existence.

"The bandits may have the advantage of the terrain," one of the disciples observed, "..but I think in the end, the Han Valley would still win."

"Wanna bet!?"

"Eh."

Meanwhile, back in the cave, Qai and Jing was surprised to discover that the cave is actually the bandits treasury.

"Did we just hit the jackpot?" Qai softly said.

The cave was not too deep. And just a few meters from the entrance, treasure boxes and weapon stands bared themselves without any obstructions.

"Young master..," Jing replied, "..I think this cave serves as their treasury.. no wonder it's guarded."

It made sense that bandits should choose a place such as caves to store their wealth as it would be too obvious should they chose one of the tents within an encampment.

Although in truth, the bandit boss in this decided to relocate their valuables only upon learning of the planned bandit extermination by the Han Valley—and that explained why the bandits were not able to fully equip the cave with traps.

"Let's put all the most valuable first in our spatial rings," Qai instructed.

Qai knew that they can't bring all the treasures in the cave so he thought that they better rake the more important ones from the pot.

"We better do it quick..," he added. "..you'll never if other bandits will check this place."

Jing nodded and hastily picked the treasures he felt were more valuable—the treasures ranged from gold coins,to aged herbs, to skill scrolls and weapons.

From the scrolls, Qai and Jing picked only those sage grade. They have not found any emperor grade scroll—which was likely because there was no emperor realm cultivator among the bandits.

There was nothing much in the weapon stands although Qai picked some as additional weapons in the Shu family's armory.

And after fully storing their spatial rings, Qai and Jing figured out that they had only gotten a third of all the treasures.

"Young master..," Jing said, "..had we known that this cave is filled with treasures, we should have brought more spatial rings."

Qai grinned in reply before he let himself into deep thoughts.

"Let's burn the guards bodies and seal the cave entrance and head back to our team..," Qai said.

"Alright," Jing replied.

"Then let's discuss with them what to do with the rest of the treasures."
