Qai, together with Shandian, went to the place where the merchants and his father gathered.

It was held in the east side of the base just right at the corner of the entire camp and the ongoing trades and auctions were not like the well-organized ones—it was like the merchants spearheading the transactions had randomly taken a spot and did their thing.

In one spot, a merchant even placed a sign which says 'trading your loot items here.' And many cultivators were indeed trading some items they got in exchange for cultivating and medicinal pills which they felt more necessary at hand.

"We have not taken down most of the bandits," one participant said.

"Yeah," another replied. "I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a greater haul tomorrow."

Many had the same line of thought and decided to trade most of the items they got earlier.

However, the most surprising merchandise in that gathering was when a merchant offered to auction a spatial ring, taken from a sage cultivator whom the merchant claimed to be a bandit commander, without telling what were the items the ring actually contained—it was actually like 'bid-at-your-risk.' And surprisingly, that incident became a big hit among the cultivators.

"I'm trading it with five gold coins," a cultivator yelled.

"Six gold coins," another one shouted.

"Seven."

"Eight gold coins."

As the price went on, Qai saw that his father was about to join the bidding but he rushed to him and quickly warned him.

"Father, wait..," Qai said as he approached.

"Little Qai," Shu Wei replied. "You're here."

Qai gathered his breath then explained the situation.

"Father," he whispered. "Look at this."

Qai handed his own spatial ring and gestured to take a peek into it to which his father obliged.

"Where did you get all of these?" Shu Wei asked.

"Come with us back to the tent and let's discuss what we found," Qai answered softly and cautiously.

"We shall proceed with the strategy we had earlier," the Han Valley chief explained.

While there were trades being held that night, the chief and elders were busy deliberating on the next plan of attack.

Although there were small changes with the strategy, the overall plan remained the same.

One of the additional adjustment is to feint an attack of a small group of around hundred and fifty in the gorge—it was specifically designed in order to confuse the bandits of their plan.

And to make sure that the feint would look natural, the chief thought that 'The Hunters' Plateau' should lead the charge. She thought that the presence of the demonic beasts at the front would make the attack appear all-out.

"Tell all the team leaders to prepare for the attack a couple of hours before sunrise," chief Xing Yi ordered.

The elders then who were in the meeting told their underlings to disseminate the orders to all the team leaders.

But as for the Shu family, the chief herself went to personally explain the details of the orders.

"There was no other bandits except for the two that we killed," Jing reported while the entire team of 'The Hunters' Plateau' was gathered.

"The cave was probably the bandits' temporary treasury," Qai said.

Qai further described how surprisingly there wasn't even a single trap placed inside the cave which made his claim that the cave was temporary even more convincing.

"It was probably made as such rashly and thoughtlessly," Shu Wei said. "That is why there were still plenty of valuables found in the personal spatial rings of the dead bandits."

"But even then..," Shu Wu interrupted, "..these bandits are even richer than we thought."

"No wonder they can recruit sage cultivators on their side," Shu Wei said.

"What should we do with the cave then?" Shu Liang asked.

Everyone became silent as they were all in deep thoughts.

"I am thinking of two possibilties," Qai suddenly said.

The rest of the team woke from their silence and looked at Qai—they had been used to Qai's wits so everyone was dead serious about what Qai was to say.

"The first is to let it be sealed for the rest of this extermination, and we could just get the items at a later time," Qai explained.

Everyone felt it was the best option as they thought the same.

"What's the other?" Shu Liang asked.

"The second is to make use of it to bargain it from the Han Valley, should the need arise," Qai said.

"What do you mean?" It was Shu Wu who asked this time.

"You should all remember that there was a reported river but of unknown importance as one of the marked places in the map," Qai explained.

Qai was not yet done talking but all of them already figured out the point Qai was driving at.

"Oh," Shu Wei quickly muttered. "If the river turned out to be possessing something of value, we could make use of the cave to trade for it."

"Exactly," Qai answered.

Just as after Qai said that, the Han Valley chief Xing Yi arrived.

"Master Shu Wei," a young cultivator yelled from outside the tent. "The chief has a need for you."
