Chapter 19.1: Challenging Beyond One’s Level
Duanmu Xi sat herself down on the ground crossed legged and closed her eyes to gather her mental strength. Very soon, a blue light that was like water spirit energy flared out from her entire body, to form into a spherical protective dome, encasing her in the middle.
The eyes of the leader of the assassins narrowed. Although he did not know what she was doing, but he did not want to miss any chance he had of killing her.
The black robed leader waved both his hands and two streams of blue mystical power struck the protective dome covering Duanmu Xi.
Seeing the two bolts of blue mystical power that looked like they could smash through bamboo, Xuanyuan Mo and Lan Ze became highly anxious and Xuanyuan Mo thought of forcibly breaking the seal inside him again.
“Boom…..”
A loud crash sounded, but the one sent flying was not Duanmu Xi but the assassin leader.
Suffering the backlash from his own two bolts of mystical power, a mouthful of blood spurted out from the assassin leader’s mouth.
[Damn it! How did that happen?]
And upon seeing that, Xuanyuan Mo and Lan Ze heaved a long sigh of relief.
Inside the protective dome, Duanmu Xi slowly slipped into a highly amazing state of mind, like some kind of power was trying to break out from inside her body.
The assassin leader then turned to look at Xuanyuan Mo a short distance away and wiped off the blood from the corner of his mouth before he slowly stood up.
Since he was unable to strike the young lass, then he would just deal with the main target they sought on this night. Once that kid is dead, they will then have succeeded in their mission.
The assassin leader was just going to make his move when his eyes were suddenly almost blinded by such a dazzling bright blue light that he could not open his eyes.
The blinding light lit up the dark forest in an instant, and all the black robed assassins had to shield their eyes with their hands.
“She advanced a level. Mistress has advanced to become a Spirit Supreme.” Lan Ze said, his face filled with joyous delight.
After the blue light faded away, a multi coloured brilliance followed right after.
Duanmu Xi held the seven coloured spirit staff in her hand, her eyes narrowed dangerously.
“Water Tornado….. Devour…..”
A blue vortex spun like a ferocious tornado straight towards the black robed assassins in an unstoppable spin, where the surrounding shrubbery and tall trees were sucked straight into the enormous blue vortex.
The assassin leader stared at the incredibly massive water tornado stunned, his face shocked.
[The lass might have risen up a level but even one of the Spirit Supreme level would not be able to summon such a massive water tornado with such destructive power.]
“Shield Wall.”
The assassin leader did not have time to think and he immediately focused the mystical energy in his body to form a blue shielding wall.
“BOOM…..”
The shield wall was crushed, and the assassin leader was sucked right into the vortex.
After the water tornado passed, several black robed assassin corpses appeared on the ground, and the assassin leader found himself covered in wounds over his injuries.
