“How could this have happened?”
Little Shadow was shocked and she immediately seemed to have thought of something as she said anxiously: “Mistress, what about your profound spirit energy? Do you still have it?”
Duanmu Xi tried to condense her profound spirit energy but to her dismay, she found that she did not have a sliver of profound spirit energy in this body at all. Not only did she not have any profound spirit energy, her meridians had been severed, and on top of that, she even had severe internal injuries.
“What? Meridians had been severed?!!”
Little Shadow cried out in surprise, her face was frozen in shock.
“How could this be?”
After Duanmu Xi checked her body thoroughly, a cold glint flashed by her eyes.
“It seems like someone had beaten up this body to the extent of severing the meridians and arteries.”
“Beaten up…who? Who could be so vicious?”
Thinking of the pain that one would have to go through to have their meridians severed from a beating, Little Shadow’s little body couldn’t help but shudder just at the thought of it.
“I don’t know.”
Not a hint of emotion could be detected in her cold voice.
“What should we do now?” With severed arteries and meridians, cultivating profound spirit energy would not be possible at all. Without profound spirit energy, wouldn’t it mean that this body was a waste?
Little Shadow was so anxious that she was about to cry out any moment. One has to know that Heaven’s Sea Continent was entirely based on strength. It was survival of the fittest and those who were weak had no place in it at all. Not to mention, her Mistress had a strong character, if she was unable to cultivate, wouldn’t that be akin to taking away her life?
