A servant entered, bowing down "Sire, representatives from the Radiant realm have arrived, they seek an audience with you"
The Radiant realm, such a pretentious name, Ren thought, sneering in derision, the Radiant realm was the center realm that connected the all the upper races realms together, the humans from the lower three realms called it the gods' realm. It was the realm that human ascended to when they became immortals.
The servant's head was still lowered so he did not see his king's expression.
"Inform the chamberlain, that I will be there shortly" Ren ordered waving the servant away.
Nodding the servant quickly left. Once the servant had left, Ren called for his private manservant to prepare his bath. Ren had never been one to have many servants serving him, too many unknown scents in his private quarters unsettled his "beast", he had found that the stronger the darkness in his soul grew, the more territorial he became.
Normally Ren would have nothing to do with the humans from the Radiant realm, but Hell's Gate was located in the Radiant realm, and it was close to opening so he no choice but to meet with them now.
Dressed splendidly in a black leather tunic and snug fitting leggings that displayed the powerful muscles in his thighs, his black boots stitched with silver protection runes, a golden sash embroidered with protection runes worked in magical enhanced black demon-spider thread draped from his left shoulder to his right hip, just below wrapped around his hips, one of the two crossed bands filled with small but deadly black daggers, while on his back two massive black soulblades were strapped to his back. A golden crown circled his head, each of its six points topped with a small sphere of priceless aura stones.
Looking every inch the powerful warrior king that he was, Ren stalked into the throne room.
After he was seated on the throne chair, made out of rare dwarven dark gold, the chamberlain announced
"High Priestess Sharlin of the Temple of Light, and her entourage"
With the chamberlain announcement, the two metal massive doors into the throne were opened by the guards standing by them.
A stunningly beautiful woman strolled into the throne room, followed by six attendants. She was dressed in a long white robe, runes intricately embroidered with golden thread, her long auburn hair woven with tiny priceless gems. Her bright green eyes stared adoringly at Ren.
"Ren, my love it has been too long," Sharlin said seductively.
His face expressionless not showing the disgust he felt towards this woman, Ren replied "High Priestess, please remember where you are and behave accordingly" his voice was icy cold and distant.
Sharlin eyes narrowed as a brief flash of anger flickered through them, lowering her eyes to conceal her expression, said coyly
"I apologize, your Majesty, forgive me I do tend to forget myself due to our long ... intimate relationship"
Ren's fist clenched at Sharlin insinuation, glaring at her his eyes frigid "State your business — then leave" he said curtly.
While angry with Ren's rude behavior, Sharlin nevertheless said suggestively "The information that I have is somewhat of a delicate nature, may we discuss this in a more um — private venue"
Standing up Ren turned to walk out of the throne room, speaking over his shoulder he stated "I have better things to do than waste my time here"
Taking a quick step forward, Sharlin instinctively raised her hand to try and stop Ren from leaving, realizing what a stupid mistake that would be she dropped her hand.
"It's about Shaolin — the lost world"
Ren came to an abrupt halt, standing dead-still, the words reverberating in his mind Shaolin — how long has been since the entrance to Shaolin had disappeared.
"Follow me" he ordered and walked away.
