Yan Beicheng did not care what anyone was thinking about while it did not cross Lin Chu’s mind to think about these people. However, Yan Beicheng made a stop at the entrance where the red packets were collected when he was leading her out the hall.
Lin Chu looked at Yan Beicheng in surprise, “I’ve already given mine when I arrived.”
The Lin family did not care about the few thousand dollars given by Cheng Ziming’s relatives and friends, all of whom were common people whose most generous packet was two or three thousand. He started to take Lin Chu away when a shrill voice called out behind him, “Lin Chu, stop there!”
Yan Beicheng raised his eyebrow and stopped. Both of them looked back and saw Lin Yuwen running towards them in her wedding dress. Cheng Ziming followed close behind with Lin Zhenghe and his wife.
“Lin Chu, how shameless can you be? This is such an important day for me but you deliberately came to create trouble. If you weren’t sincere with your blessings, you shouldn’t have come! Stop pretending to have a magnanimous attitude towards everything. You disgust me!” Lin Yuwen pointed at Lin Chu in a rage.
Lin Chu wanted to ignore her. She had never planned for trouble today. She had no idea that Yan Beicheng would do what he did. She had initially thought to just get through the wedding ceremony and it would be over. She had not expected Yan Beicheng to do this and she did not feel there was anything wrong with it. Yan Beicheng was sticking up for her and she was happy about it. Naturally, she accepted Yan Beicheng’s intentions and his consideration for her.
She would not offend Yan Beicheng on account of the Lin family by rejecting his attempt to do her good. Why did Lin Yuwen think that only she was allowed to bully others, while others were not allowed to retaliate her bullying?

“Master Yan, don’t get cheated by her! She is the best when it comes to acting innocent, sitting on her high horse like she has done nothing wrong. It’s always the fault of others when it comes to her, she’s always acting like she is being bullied but pretends she is so generous to let go of it,” Lin Yuwen was full of hate as she clenched her teeth. It was so irritating to see Lin Chu acting so calm.
Lin Chu was still looking at her, expressionless. It was like nothing she said mattered to her. She was not afraid of Yan Beicheng believing her words, which made Lin Yuwen so mad that she could feel her brain was about to explode.
“These are all part of her pretense! You’ll find out soon enough after spending time with her! I’ve spent tens of years with her and have seen her for who she really is! You can ask my mother-in-law if you don’t believe me. My mother-in-law is the kindest person in the world. She has always treated Lin Chu as her daughter but even she has realized Lin Chu’s true colors.”
Wang Jinglin and Cheng Jindong rushed over and hear Lin Yuwen said those words. There were flustered about being suddenly pulled into the situation.
Lin Chu might still be indifferent towards Lin Yuwen, but she was not about to let her continue to spout nonsense. No one would have that much patience. However, she suddenly felt a few light squeezes on her hand, which was wrapped within Yan Beicheng’s hands.

It started with only Lin Yuwen creating a ruckus, but Yan Beicheng had extended it to the entire Lin family. Every guest who witnessed the scene were now aware that Yan Beicheng would no longer be associated with the Lin family.

He looked completely different from that cold, calculating person just now. This confused those who thought they knew who Yan Beicheng was, and everyone started to re-evaluate their impression of him.
Lin Chu said coldly to the person in charge of the red packet collection, “I’d like to take back the red packet we gave out just now.”
Everyone was stunned. Who would demand their red packet after gifting it out? This… This was outrageous!
