Angel could still feel the fear from when she had read that note, a fear that trapped her and encased her, wrapping around her like an unwanted blanket. Her mum had insisted she stayed home, then again Angel didn't really feel like going to school anyway. Her mum had made a report to the police but there wasn't much they could do about it, Angel sat nervously on her bed. She decided to write some of her book to calm her nerves.
Meka rose from her bed, She paced around the room trapped in her thoughts "why is Lucuis such a pain" she said aloud, she couldn't kill him because even if he was heartless he still had honor and dignity. Being a warrior herself Meka knew if she killed him then she would become the villain, even if not in other people's eyes. She still would be in her own heart, besides Meka never killed unless she absolutely had to. Suddenly she stopped pacing "oh god I can't believe I'm even contemplating this" she thought to herself, before she could talk herself out of it. She marched down to the dungeons, Lucuis was sitting there. Staring at the concrete wall dripping with water, he slowly turned to face Meka. A mischievous grin playing across his face "well well, we meet again" he said.
Meka rolled her eyes, "don't make this any harder for me than it already is" she said. Lucuis's eyes widened and so did his grin "does it pain you to see me in such a horrid place, would you rather me be in your room instead" he said still grinning. Meka visibly shuddered "dear lord no! I am letting you go" she said, there was confusion and shock written all over Lucius's face. It was a few moments before he spoke again "why" he asked honestly, Meka sighed "because as much as I hate you and want to kill you I can't" she said sadly.
"besides, eventually you will escape one was or another and I know you will try to kill me, I would rather die fighting you on the battlefield then you slitting my throat in my sleep." She said, Lucuis seemed at loss for words, he swallowed a couple of times "when" was all he could muster. Meka winced "very soon" she said, just as she was walking away a hand grabbed hers through the bars "wait".
Meka turned and faced Lucius, his eyes were big and glittery, like a thousand stars on a moonless night. Everything inside her melted and any words she hoped to say were stuck in her throat, Lucuis brushed a hair away from her face and caressed her soft skin with his thumb. "thank you" he said quietly, Meka nodded and looked into his eyes trying to speak "uhh" was all she could say.
Lucuis laughed softly "seems our little warrior princess is lost for words" he said, Meka felt her face heat up and she turned, the soft romantic moment lost. Her Back was turned when she spoke "my guard slipped this time, next time you won't trick me so easily" her voice was like ice. Lucuis tried to speak but she was already out of the dungeon doors and down the next corridor.
Angel heard a soft knock on her door "you okay honey" her mum's voice came through the door, Angel put down her pencil "yeah Im fine" she said, her mum opened the door " honey I have to go shopping but don't worry, if anything goes wrong just ring me okay" she said. Angel nodded "okay mum" she said lying on her bed.
A while later after her mum had left, Angel grabbed a bag of Cheetos's and the TV remote. She was getting right into her favourite show when she heard the front door slam shut...
