Because the office had to be given to Wales, who would come at any time, James was taken to Benjamin’s warehouse. The werewolf who had just fallen asleep was woken up by the vampire, converted himself with a blanket, and sat on his own bed. Scattered documents squeezed the big werewolf in the corner, and his half-awake eyes revealed a trace of perplexed grievance, looking at James who disturbed his rest.

The werewolf is not like the vampire, who can change their resting schedule at will with a glass of ‘wine’. Sleepy people are still sleepy even after eating food, and the same is true for the werewolf.

“Let’s start with this suicide in your southern district, Chris Irwin…” James had two dark circles under his eyes. This was the result of two days and one night’s work. These were far beyond the real work scope of him and Coulson, so he could only use his own time to investigate.

“Thirty-two years old, was living alone, but recently he suddenly had a fiancee…”

James was interrupted by Zach. Last night, the vampire had heard the private stories of all the suicides from the mouths of hundreds of walking corpses. There was no need for James to continue wasting time on this. Zach waved his hand and said impatiently, “Key point.”

“Uh, the key point is here!” The fatigue on James’ face disappeared, and he had a focused excitement when he started working. He pointed to the circled mark on the document, “He worked in the construction company. This was a project he was working on. It is at the junction of the Northern and Southern Districts where the cemetery of [Ford Funeral Home] used to be!”

James handed the information to Zach, and when he handed it to Benjamin, he noticed that the werewolf was in a trance, so he just stuffed it into his hand: “Then, look here,” the detective pointed to another sign, “this is the building material used in their project!”

“Yuri Building Materials?” Zach glanced, “and then?”

“Then this!” James quickly pulled out another document that was marked. Zach has recognized the name on the profile, another suicide, and Papa Midnight defrauded this guy’s contract with a promotion.

But this had nothing to do with James’ investigation. Zach knew the benefits that every suicide had gained by breaking the rules. This was their ‘stories’, but it was not the focus of James’ investigation. James was looking for the connections of these people, and then located the person who recruited these opportunists for Papa Midnight.

The marked place on the profile says that his position was the shipper of Yuri Building Materials. Zach combined the two documents together and seemed to see a connection buried in many lines.

“Then there is this!” James once again pulled out a piece of information, and Zach looked at the name. This was the case that James’ real work should be investigating. The person who committed suicide in his own kitchen, a guy, who was also confirmed by his colleague that he had been kidnapped during working hours. “He works at Massa Port Shipping! Look at the goods he has recently taken over! ”

“Building materials.” Zach took the information from James and found the “Yuri Building Materials” marked with a marker in a pile of callers’ lists. Zach nodded, the clues became clearer.

These three people didn’t live together, didn’t work together, and didn’t even know each other at all, but because of an engineering project, they were connected together. Perhaps it was just a coincidence. However, there were eight suicides in total, and James’ presentation was not ended yet.

“There are more of these!” James took out a few more documents, laid them out on the bed, and pointed to the marked places: “Look, this person was not directly involved in the project, but he lived in the Passing District near the construction site. This person was a warehouse manager at the Massa Port. I checked his work location and it was only two corridors away from Yuri Building Materials. This person was from the Barton Building Materials Audit Bureau…”

James was still not over, took out a slightly wrinkled paper and wrote these names on it.

“I have talked to the Gale couple, this is their list.” When James said this sentence, he was a little vague. It could be expected that some of the names on it would be listed on the list of suicides in the “Barton Daily” soon.

James once again took out some documents that were obviously not as formal as before. Obviously, it was not the police record, but the results of his own investigation. He overlapped the marked place in the document with the document on the bed. Just like under a main trunk, the branches began to spread. When the social attributes of all suicides dispersed, it was indeed impossible to see the connection, but once there was this main line of James, all the divisions appeared very even.

Perhaps Barton city was lucky. If the person connecting the three points was still alive, then the main line would not be connected, and all of this would still be some randomly scattered grains of sand.

Zach looked at the information with satisfaction, but James frowned. These suicides were actually driven by the Gale couple, and the actions of the Gale couple relied on Spell Gale’s sixth sense towards people who used witchcraft…

And this sixth sense, from the incident where the Gale couple ran to James’ house and attacked him, it could be seen that it was unexpectedly reliable. But! But if you put all the people who committed suicide together, you can see that the Gale couple were just casting a net randomly, and then looking for the spot that caught the fish in the net, and then from that spot expanded outward. Following the suicide case being investigated by the police, they could even find James, who had nothing to do with the incident. This can only prove that their actions were entirely based on luck and there was no real clue.

Although with the main line drawn by James, the Gale couple’s actions had a clearer goal, from the point of time when the suicide occurred, it was no longer possible to judge which part of the three main points was the one that generated this main line.

Zach patted James on the shoulder, “You have done a great job.”

“No, not enough!” James clenched his fists: “Coulson has been investigating where the ‘kidnapping’ took place, but he still hasn’t found any clues. What I did did not help the police in any way! We simply don’t know which direction to continue! If we delay it longer, it will only be classified as suicide again, and then the case will be closed. The police will have no reason to continue the investigation! ”

James was telling the truth. After discovering that the suicide had been kidnapped before his death, the Barton Police Department was willing to use this tiny incident to open the case and invest the police to investigate, it was already a rare thing. But if there were no results for a long time, it would only be terminated and returned to the conclusion of suicide. This reality obviously made the general’s son a little frustrated.

Zach looked at James and thought for a while and reminded him. “You are right, now you need to stop thinking like a police detective’s and start to think like us.”

“What?” James looked at Zach and asked inquiringly. There was no rejection in his eyes, which would have appeared before. Zach was satisfied.

“Dead Apostles, James.” Zach continued to give reminders, “You forget that the employees of Papa Midnight, including the recruiters in the middle, all died once.”

After thinking for a moment, James’ eyes lit up: “Do you want to lend me Alice?”

Zach was dazed for a moment, he had never thought about lending Alice to anyone!

James seemed to have been overly corrected by him!

“Do you want a sixteen-year-old girl to accompany you to catch the murderer?” Zach increased his tone and asked.

James’ question was very practical, but it once again showed his prejudice against the members of the Grande Funeral Home. In his mind, Alice had the power to see death, which could be used to distinguish Dead Apostles. She was a tool that could be used! But what kind of police detective would be willing to use a sixteen-year-old girl as a tool to put her in a dangerous situation? !

James pressed his hands on his face, rubbing his tired eyes, and he fell into confusion again.

Zach didn’t plan to comfort James who had this kind of though, nor did he want to guide him a little bit. He just gave the answer coldly: “You should investigate who is the first person to come back to life after death. You are a police detective. I don’t need to teach you this. He is the middle recruiter you are looking for. Now, leave the Grande Funeral Home. ”

When Alice’s name appeared, Benjamin, who was fully awake, gathered the materials spread out on the bed, and handed it to James who looked slumped.

James took the information, frowning: “I am sorry! That is not what I mean. ”

But the two were reluctant to listen to him, Zach waved his hand and asked him to leave.

“At least, at least she can help our police look at those who committed suicide. If the police can find the location of the first death and the place where the kidnapping took place, they will definitely find more clues! At least let our investigation continue! ” James made the last effort.

Zach frowned, thinking. This may be the bottom line that he could accept. Zach looked at James’ sincere face, and finally nodded. It could be considered a compromise, “Then you should go and ask her in person.”

“Mhm.” James knew he had said the wrong thing, so he didn’t make any more requests, and walked up the stairs with a bunch of information.

“You shouldn’t accept it.” Benjamin leaned to his side, looked at Zach, and said lightly.

“It’s okay.” Zach shook his head, with a slight smile on his face, “Papa Midnight used the strictest contract, Life And Death Contract for Dead Apostles. The Gale couple was even able to ‘persuade’ them to commit suicide, but they still could not get any information from them, so Alice would not be able to see anything. It will just make James give up.”

“You know, I didn’t mean that.” Benjamin turned his body over, and the wide bed shook for a moment, “You gave James a wrong impression. He can use us to find an easy way. ”

It is easy to understand why he would need help from them, but what is the ‘easy way’?

If when the vampire offered to help Anthony conquer his beautiful female secretary with the hypnotizing eyes, Anthony did not refuse, this would be the easy way.

“If he is willing to pay, then forget what I just said.” Benjamin, who was facing in, finished his last sentence and closed his eyes.

Zach froze for a moment, and patted Benjamin’s broad shoulder, showing a slight smile. He already understood the meaning of the werewolf. This was not a matter of the Grande Funeral Home. Their participation was originally only to provide help. Now perhaps because of Papa Midnight’s provocation, Zach had the idea to join, but still, Grande had no obligation to help James.

They could cooperate because of friendship, like Grande and Anthony. They could trade each other for their own interests, like Grande and Quinn, Barton, and Hermann.

Grande’s relationship with James Rance was not that strong yet. “We” are not his tools. This human detective must understand this.
