(She left but I have no idea where I can go or what kind of shelter can I give to a child like this one.)
"Where are we going next big brother?" Lily asks Naota. Naota sighs. "First we need to find a place to live." Naota says. Naota blinks for a few seconds then notices Maria sitting in front of him. "You are...Maria Xendor if I am correct." Naota says to Maria. "That is correct." Maria says with a smile. "What do you want? I told you I am not interested in your offers." Naota says to Maria. "That's not the case here." Maria pouts at Naota. "Hmm? What is it then?" Naota asks Maria. "I heard you were looking for a place to stay." Maria says to Naota. "What about that?" Maria gives a huge smile.
"You sure I can stay at your place?" Naota asks as he enters a house which is quite clean and doesn't have a speck of dust within it. "Yep, yep! You can stay here for as long as you want. Te-he!" Maria says with a small giggle.
Lily looks at Naota as if Naota did something to her. "What's with that angry look you got there?" Naota asks Lily. "Is that girl your girlfriend or something?" Lily asks Naota. "Not at all, she's just a random chick who appeared out of nowhere and was asking me to have sex with her. That's all." Naota says to Lily.
"AH!" Lily gets shocked. "Why are you making weird faces?" Naota asks Lily. "Big brother is not a virgin. His not a virgin." Lily whispers to herself.
(What is she talking about? I am still a virgin even though...)
Naota sighs.
"Why are you guys standing at the door step? Please think of this place as your own." Maria says to Naota and Lily with a smile on her face.
Naota and Lily make themselves comfortable in a living room. Maria's house has 5 rooms and a bathroom. There is the living room, the kitchen, the storage room and 2 bedrooms. Each of them is pretty clean and the smell of the environment is much better then the outside world.
(This place kind of reminds me of how mother used to keep our house clean. She was always that kind of person. The person who will work hard to make a living for her own son.)
Naota keeps on looking around the living room as he seated near a table on the ground along with Lily. "Here!" Maria puts down three cup of teas on the table for Naota, Lily and herself. Maria sits along with Naota and Lily. "So what's your story Naota? How did you end up in the dump like this one?" Maria asks Naota. "Well...I don't know myself. At first when I heard Bluemoon, I never thought that the city would be filled with prostitutes whether it be male or female. So it came a surprise to me when I saw the people around here being like that." Naota says.
"Well, that is just how Bluemoon is big brother." Lily says to Naota. "Ever since Madam Adana was dethroned from being a city lord. Our city has just been degrading every single day." Lily says with a sad face. "Dethroned? What does that mean?" Naota asks Lily. "Well to be exact she was taken advantage of." Maria says to Naota.
(Advantage...There is only one way of taking her...)
"Before you ask, yeah, her blindness was the reason why this all happened." Maria says with a sigh. "I wished that the event never occurred so that I could..." Maria stops. "You could what?" Naota asks Maria. "Ah! It's nothing. It's just something I dreamed of a long time ago. That wish isn't ever coming true you see." Maria says with a sad smile.
"What was your wish, big sister Maria?" Lily asks Maria. "My wish was...To sing...Sing for the people of the city. Give them the happiness they need. But instead..." Maria gets up. "I have this job on my hand that I have to attend to everyday." Maria says as she makes her way to the kitchen. "You could always decline to this, you know that right?" Naota says to Maria. "I wish I could but there is no escaping from this faith once you choose it. Especially when the city lord doesn't give a shit about his people." Maria says to Naota. "You know prostitution is not even the start of it...People here die of poverty if they don't do some kind of work. So some people even sell out their own children to stay alive." Maria says.
Naota looks at Lily the instance Maria mentioned about people selling their own children. "Bluemoon was supposed to a city that develops every day and now...People just come here to have sex and that's it. None of the spots that were actually attractive are there anymore." Maria clenches her fist. "All of those spots...They just reek of nothing but sexual spots." Maria says with a sad face.
Naota had no words to say. He just looked outside the window and see's the city Bluemoon. Just like that the sun begin to set and Naota went on a little stroll in the city. Naota was in the middle of some kind of marketplace. He looked around. There were some goods that were being sold on the market. He also saw some woman working as prostitutes around the area.
"You are the man who was talking to Mistress Adana this afternoon, aren't you?" Naota turns behind to have a look. It seems that Scar is staring right at him.
