Sky roamed around the EverNight Forest as he adjusted to his new abilities. The numbers explained everything that Sky wanted to know about his opponents.
Weak spots were marked yellow, while fatal spots were marked with red. Being able to find the weak points and fatal points early in the fight can lead to a lower leveled person to defeat a higher level person.
As he moved without hiding his presence a huge bear like monster appeared before him. It roared at him and charged at him, with the intentions to ram him to his death.
Sky looked at the bear charging at him. In a second he saw a string of numbers indicating it's health, strength, stamina, Agility and every thing else.
He too the black spear and tried to get into a battle stance. But the spear in his hand did not move. "Damn! Why are you not moving?" He scolded the spear as he jumped out of the charge of the bear.
"Hump! I am a lady, how could you make me fight." The spear retroted.
"Tch!" Sky clicked his tongue and called out his bone sword and slashed the bear which had once again charged at him. This time he went for it's eye.
It's eye was marked as red. This meant that it was a fatal spot. He stabbed his bone sword into it's eyes at the cost of taking it's charge.
Sky was just level fifteen, he knew he would not be able to defeat a level twenty one bear without a price. This was the reason he went for it's eyes even when he had to take it's fully powered charge.
His body flew back from impact and he spat out a mouthful of blood. Numerous bones in his ribcage were broken due to this impact.
But the bear did not have it any better. Sky had used all his power to stab into it's eyes. It roared in pain as it tried to remove the bone sword from it's eyes.
As it removed the bone sword and saw Sky getting up weakly, it's undamaged eye turned red. It once again roared and charged at Sky. This time it was twice faster than the previous time.
Sky's heart started to beat faster as he looked at the huge bear charge at him. It looked so majestic to him at this moment that he had forgotten to run.
"Idiot! Run, that monster had entered berserk mode. It would destroy everything in it's path." The black spear 'Ryu' scolded Sky.
Sky's mind returned from the majestic feeling and his mind was overtaken by fear. His heart started to beat at thrice the normal speed as he got up and ran ignoring his broken ribs.
"Bone sword." He yelled as he ran. Even with him running at his full speed, the bear in it's berserk form was still able to close up on him.
The bone sword disappeared from it's previous place and appeared in Sky's hands.
He suddenly turned back and ran straight towards the bear. This time he had a plan.
The bear started increasing it's speed as it saw Sky charge towards him. It was provoked by Sky's actions. It thought Sky wanted to challenge it in a battle of ramming each other.
"Lazy aura." Sky screamed as he was about five meters away from the bear. His body flowed green and this green light spread towards the bear.
When the green light fell upon the bear, it suddenly stopped it's running. But due it's momentum it tripped and rolled on the ground.
Sky jumped up and stabbed his bone sword toward the back of it's neck with all of his power. A fountain of blood sprayed out of the bear's neck.
It's body shook violently as it lost blood rapidly. After a minute of intense shaking, it turned still. It had died. Sky collapsed on it's dead body. His ribs were totally damaged during his fleeing.
A lot of internal injuries were currently making him endure endless pain. But he did not care about the pain, instead he kept looking at the dead bear.
This was his first time killing a proper living being. Since his birth, he had been lazy and only had acted lazy while cultivating occasionally. He never had to kill a proper living being like this bear.
This was why he stared at his first kill intensely. He sighed after a long time. He was not used to the feeling of taking other's lives. But the situation demanded it. If he does not kill, he will be killed.
"Congratulations on your first kill. Do you want to submit the dead body to me?" Ryu asked as she hovered above Sky and the dead body.
"No!" Sky replied immediately. Since he won't get any experience for giving the dead body, he was determined to not give it to the black spear.
The spear chuckled. "If you give me the dead body, I can use the bones of this bear to strengthen your bone sword."
Sky's mind was put in a tough situation. One side, he wanted his sword to be strengthened, while on the other side, he did not want to comply with the spear.
In fact, If given a chance, he wanted to push her down and take her. But it seems like she could kill him without even batting her eyelids. So he did his best to suppress his desires.
His mind went into small struggle with finally 'greed' winning over 'pride'. He gave the dead body to the spear and strengthened his bone sword.
He then used the 'Lazy Recovery Art' to mend his broken bones. It took him a second to heal all his broken bones and restore the blood he lost.
'Lazy Recovery Art' was a technique he had created when he was dreaming. It's level was too low at that time due to Sky not needing to use it much, but it was still a Art created by a 'Sin Devil'. It's capability could not be underestimated.
His level was too low right now, so his weak body healed instantly to it's best state. If he was still a Sin Devil. It would have taken at least two years for him to heal an injury of this level using just 'Lazy Recovery Art'.
