A mage who is at the spirit mage can't use a spell at king mage level. If they try to forcefully use a spell above their level they will immediately exhaust their spiritual energy.
In a battle, a mage that exhausts their spiritual energy won't be able to use spells which will lead to his or her death. There is also mages who use spells which are lower than their stage and also use it a thousand times so they can cause big damage and also conserve their spiritual energy.
This showed how mages were able to evolve their skills and battle experience. Of course, the spiritual energy needed for a king mage spell is different from an emperor mage level spell. That's why mages try to avoid using spells who are at their level.
Only people who truly have great control over magus-mana can truly cast a spell without wasting spiritual energy and perfecting it.
A Spell also needs some time so it can be cast. With great control over magus-mana and also using a spell much time, a mage can shorten the spell casting time and also powers the spell.
Returning to the port. After over half an hour many people are knocked on the ground. Most of them are unconscious because of Aquilla, Saydon and saifon beating them.
Some of them have burn marks because of Shira fire magic spells. She was sure to not use spells above the 2nd level so to not kill them as they are innocent people who just follow orders.
Sophia also used some of her water spells to freeze them and make them unable to move. After all of this, the only remaining standing person is the guard captain. The guard captain right now held in Aquilla hands hardly breathing.
When the captain saw that he was terrified. All his soldiers are either burned, burned or beaten to a pulp. The captain then said with a hard voice to them:
"Are you mad or what, don't you know that we are under the orders of his highness the second prince. The second prince will turn the whole kingdom on you".
When Saydon heard that he put his finger in his ears and said with an annoyed voice:
" That prince is really an idiot. Even when he saw Eros immense power, he still holds a grudge. Doesn't he know that his level might surpass the ancestor?".
Everybody sighed at the idiocy of this prince. Aquila then knocked the captain and dropped him on the ground. They then started moving through the bodies. They continued walking and walking yet it seemed that they never reached the entrance although it was right in front of them.
Lina who saw that started feeling that something weird and looked behind her. She then understood that they aren't moving at all. She then looked around her and noticed that everybody was also feeling weird.
Sophia then said:
" It seems like we're being treated inside a formation or a spell with a wide area. Star cant you use your soul weapon to break through".
Star nodded and got her soul weapon out but before she could use it she felt an immense pressure behind her. a Black entity appeared behind her with a creepy smile on what seemed his face.
The black entity huge pressure caused Star to lose all her power and drop to the ground as she said with a trembling voice:
" How is that possible?. How come you are here??. Did you follow me??".
Sophia: "Star what's happening to you?. Calm yourself and don't be afraid??".
Star: "Ahhhhhhh, Nooooooo. Stay away from me Ahhhhhhh(Scream)".
Suddenly great magus-mana exploded from her body and weapon. Because of her fear from the black entity, she wasn't able to control her spell power and this made her explode all that energy.
Everything and everybody around her was thrown away. Star lost consciousness and was injured in all her body. This much of energy explosion destroyed all the port and big damage around the port.
Saifon: "Argh what did just happen now?. His did she have this much power inside her. She almost killed us all".
Suddenly Saifon heard a voice behind him saying:
"Brother you came for me. Finally, are you gonna save me?. I'm so glad".
Saifon: " Serena, is that you?. Where are you? show yourself so I can get you. Please, where are you? It's me your Brother Saifon".
Sophia looked at Saifon as he also disappeared. Even the others also started having delusions and she still couldn't understand what was happening. She started saying:
"What is happening to us. How can we see all of this?".
