Zylvia enjoyed it when Kaldrek walked beside her as she went to her daily talk and sew session with Fayre. She held his arm in a possessive manner not willing to let him go when they finally arrived.

She only let him go once he gave her a deep kiss that made her toes curl and her brain go blissfully blank.

Even though she had let him go she did not go in yet, instead she gazed at her husband intently. Drinking him in with a huge grin on her face. Even after knowing him so long she still could not get enough of looking at him, especially his eyes. The grey orbs always looked so deep and they entranced her.

She reached out her hand and touched his ear, feeling it twitch in her fingers. But he did not pull away, instead he smiled at her brightly.

His ears had always entranced her as well, they seemed so expressive, and she loved watching how they would twitch and perk up when he was happy. It was also interesting how they lowered if he felt down.

She stepped closer to him, looking him in the eye. She could hear how his breathing slowed to match her own.

He leaned into the fingers near his face, a grin spreading across his face. She moved even closer to him and placed her lips on his.

They were interrupted by a girlish voice, "Are you two really doing this in front of me?"

Zylvia jumped back from her husband and looked at Hazel. The young woman had a cocked eyebrow and looked amused. Her knight stood beside of her and seemed not really to care what he had just seen.

"Uh… Well, I did not really realize you were there…." Zylvia managed to stammer out. Kaldrek let out a soft chuckle and kissed her cheek before releasing her and stepping away.

"C'mon." Hazel laughed and walked to the door, "Let's go in."

Jayesh and Fayre were sitting together. Whatever they had been talking about, they stopped when the door opened. Jayesh squeezed his wife's hand and then stood up to leave, placing a kiss on her lips before he did.

Fayre watched her husband leave and then looked at the two women who had just joined her. She blinked a little, "Zylv? Why are you blushing?"

Zylvia blushed even harder at the question, while Hazel went off in giggles, "She and Kaldrek were kissing in the hallway and I caught them."

"Ah. I see." Fayre laughed happily, "That would do it. Zylv gets awfully shy about her relationship with her husband."

"Stop, please." Zylvia shifted uncomfortably. "Do you have to tease me?"

Fayre looked at her blankly for a minute, "Yes, I believe I do."

A sigh came from Zylvia's mouth at her friend's words. Hazel was laughing even harder now. Ah, well. At least they were enjoying themselves. Zylvia could handle a bit of teasing.

Besides being with Kaldrek was worth all the teasing they threw at her. She tuned them out for a bit and daydreamed about her husband instead.

Hazel's question brought her back, "So, both of you are going to have a baby right? I was wondering what names you all are looking at?"

"Well, we are not really sure I am pregnant," Zylvia protested weakly.

"Depends on if it is a boy or girl." Fayre smiled happily, her hand moving to rest on her abdomen.

"Well, Zylv. Sooner or later you will be pregnant, even if it is not now. So you should start picking names, right?"

"I should probably talk with Kaldrek about it." She smiled wryly, "I would not really want to pick out names without his input."

"Fair enough." Hazel grinned, "So do you have a name picked out for either gender, Fayre?"

Fayre answered her happily, telling her the two names she and Jayesh had settled on. Zylvia smiled to herself at her friend's happy glow.

Life was pretty good. Zylvia loved the fact that she was surrounded by friends. And that she was starting to get a real family as well. It was these relationships with other people that made life interesting and fun.

Zylvia could not imagine how terrible it would be to live life all alone, with no friends and no one to talk to and care about. Friendship was important and it was necessary.

And yet some people did. It was one of the horrors of Nix'Ryl. The way people lived all alone, not even able to trust family. How did anyone survive there?
