Zylvia had fallen asleep. Kaldrek smiled down at his peacefully sleeping wife. He had known she was tired, her pregnancy seemed to drain her energy levels. She was growing another human inside of her, and most likely a sorcerer to boot. At least her own magic would make that power drain easier.

He shifted his hand down to where their child was growing. He was glad that other than always being tired her pregnancy was a fairly easy one. She barely suffered from morning sickness, just got nauseous now and then.

He felt her shift in her sleep and loosened up his arms to allow her to find her more comfortable position. She nestled even closer than him, her head cuddled into his chest. He patted her hair and gave her a quick squeeze.

Kaldrek did not actually feel all that tired himself but he knew Zylvia needed her sleep. So he had encouraged her to sleep. Which left him to admire how adorable she was when she was curling into him.

And he found her very adorable. He could very easily watch her sleep for hours at a time. Well, that is, if it was not for one thing. Watching her slumber so peacefully always made him relax to the point where he started to fall asleep as well.

He snuggled into her, pressing her close to himself. Shutting his eyes, he allowed himself to slow his breathing, matching his wife's. It was not long before he had fallen asleep.

He was woken up by the shifting of the sweet woman by his side. Zylvia was pushing herself away from him, stretching a bit. Kaldrek opened his eyes to watch his lady.

Her hair was a glorious mess of red curls. Her eyes were half closed, as she tried to pull herself awake. Kaldrek found himself once again admiring this side of her. There was something about how her hair hung wildly around her shoulders and down her back that came off cutely sleepy to him.

He pulled her back down to lay on top of him and kissed her. He could feel the way her whole body relaxed at his touch and conformed into him.

Zylvia pulled back from his kiss and smiled at him, some of her sleepiness chased away by his kisses. "Morning, my lord."

Her voice was filled with warmth and fondness and he smiled at it. "Morning, Zylv. Sleep well?"

"Aye." She sweetly smiled at him, "It is hard not to get a good night's sleep when my handsome husband is holding me through the night."

He shook his head at her teasing flirtatious words. She really did not give up an opportunity to attempt to embarrass him. and he could not even get upset at her. Because despite it being embarrassing it was also sweet and he actually rather liked her saying such things to him.

He kissed her again before getting up. It did not take him very long to prepare for the day and to help his sweetheart prepare herself. It was truly a highlight of his day to have her hair in his hands as he helped her arrange it.

As he walked her to go eat breakfast he reflected that he was happier than he could ever remember being before. Sleeping next to her, holding her in his arms was everything he had ever wanted. And he would not trade it for anything.

Add to that that he was going to be a father before the year was out and he felt so many emotions, mostly positive. Sure there was anxiety and nervousness, some fear of not being good enough, but overall he was excited for this change.

Zylvia had truly lit up his life in ways that he would never had dared dream he would see. She made everything seem brighter. Kaldrek knew that of everything he had ever received that Zylvia and her love were truly the most special.
