The castle seemed quiet without Hazel's chipperness permeating it like sunshine in a thinning glade. Zylvia found herself missing the young woman's incessant chatter.

The young princess had become such a fixture during the past year that now she was gone it left a sense of loss behind. Strange when Zylvia thought of how when the girl had first come she had seemed like an invader of sorts.

Zylvia sighed a bit before pushing it out of her head a bit and just scooping up her baby girl in her arms. Amrunela eyes had darkened to a rather pretty shade of grey, just like her father's. And the mother found it adorable, especially combined with the features that obviously came from her.

From the hair that the young kid was growing it was quite obvious that she would have Zylvia's vibrant red hair much to Kaldrek's equally noticeable delight. Thinking of how much Kaldrek adored their daughter brought a smile to Zylvia's face.

As the thought came to her, she felt arms wrap around her and before she could turn heard her husband's voice, "And how are my girls doing?"

By reflex Zylvia leaned back into her husband and looked up at him with a huge grin coming onto her face. "We are doing fine, my lord. Did you need something?"

"Do I need to need something in order to spend time with my wife and daughter?" Kaldrek released his hold on her and gave her his biggest grin, "I just wanted to see you and little Amrunela…"

For his sweet words Zylvia kissed him on the cheek. He smiled and then took hold of her elbow to guide her, "Come here, my love."

She let him guide her to a chair in which he sat and pulled her onto his lap. She leaned against his chest and focused her attention on their child again.

Having her husband hold her like this as she held their child filled her with a warmth she would have trouble trying to explain. Love seemed to be overflowing from her heart as she happily grinned to herself.

They stayed like that until Zylvia's stomach rumbled. Her husband immediately laughed and began to lift her to her feet, "You need to eat something love."

No argument there. Zylvia just smiled at him and then walked away from him, knowing he would follow her.

She could feel his presence walking behind of her, feeling her with a sense of security and safety.

Supper seemed remarkably quiet without Hazel there laughing and giggling and being all sorts of lovable.

Some of the quiet was from Fayre being mostly silent as they ate. Jayesh talked a bit, and Kaldrek did as well. But overall the table was silent.

Zylvia did not really feel tired as the king and queen bid them goodnight, but Fayre did look exhausted and Kaldrek was pulling her with him. She did not fight him as she wanted him to get any rest he needed.

She pulled away from him once they reached their room and set their kid in the crib. Kaldrek stepped up behind her and wrapped his arms around her, snuggling up against her. "Coming to bed, dear?"

"Yes, just a minute." She fussed over their kid a bit until she was absolutely sure that Amrunela was comfortable. Then she followed her husband to bed. And was almost immediately pulled into her husband's embrace as he kissed her passionately.

Zylvia melted into his embrace. His hands moved down to grip her hips tightly against him as he continued to kiss her. Pulling back a bit he smiled softly, "How are you feeling?"

"After that kiss?" She giggled and leaned towards him again, "Really good."

He laughed a little, and then leaned to catch her lips again. Something she was more than willing to help and to allow him to do.
