Each of these units would be spawned in with a minimal amount of knowledge of their specialty. From what the system told Ben they would know the basics of using their weapons and barely fill the roles they were chosen for.

Because they were real people that could be taught it was possible to turn an infantry swordsman into an archer. It would just require them to spend enough time in the proper classes and to be instructed on how to properly use a bow. This was not like a video game were a recruited swordsmen would always only be a swordsman.

It was more optimal to try and keep them in their original roles. This would cut down on months of retraining them to fit a role they were not originally recruited for.

While looking over the list Ben noticed the units all had a set price for each class type. They could run from 10 gold coins each all the way up to 1000 gold coins each for the elite type.

'System, what is this Elite Dual Type Soldier at the bottom of the list?'

*Ding!* [The Elite Dual Type Soldier can be provided with two "class" types of any kind. They are also much stronger, smarter, and skilled than the other soldiers. They would have the strength and skill to hold off ten of the regular recruits in a battle.]

'Then I could make a skilled swordsman who was also skilled with a bow. That would be a great soldier to have around even off the battlefield. Before I spend money on expensive elite units though, I want to get archers that can patrol the walls and keep any possible attacker from getting into the fortress when I'm away.' He deliberated.

Ben chose to begin making only one archer so he could familiarize himself with the new recruitment options. When he clicked the archer button a series of window prompts began to pop up one after the other.

Would you like to create an Archer? [YES] [NO]

"Yes"

Please pick a race.

'System, you had said before if you had the proper information you could make just about any race that I wanted. I should have a book with detailed descriptions of fantasy races with their talents and proficiencies. It is one of the D&D books used by game-masters to create game worlds and characters.'

Ben without waiting for an answer went through his programs tab and found the book once stored on his gaming laptop.

He found the pages that described the forest-dwelling Elves and began to read it.

Elves have a slender physique with pointed ears. However, even though they are slim their long limbs posses a surprising amount of strength in them.

Their eyes are almond-shaped, and hued with bright dazzling colors of nature. The forest Elves often have blonde hair, but can also possess hair with variations of green and blue.

They have smooth pale skin that helps emphasize their attractive features. They are known to live for hundreds of years but do not emotionally mature wholly until reaching near one hundred years of age.

Elves are known to be extremely proficient with bows and swords. They sometimes may even possess magical talents that are nature element aligned.

He continued on to read a few more pages and the system soon informed him it had enough information to work with.

Ben then chose the new Elf race option for the archer's race and another window opened.

[Please choose a gender.]

"Male"

[Please choose an age ranging of five years.]

'Hmm, younger troops are probably the better route to go, but elves live for so long and do not completely mature until they are 75-100 years of age. A fifty-year-old elf may be equivalent to a human teenager?'

After quickly thinking it through he made his decision.

"70-75 years old age range"

Would you like to use the character recruit creation menu or use a random appearance? [Creation Menu] [Random]

'Recruitment creation menu? That sounds like a character creation menu.'

Ben curiously choose to use the [Creation Menu] to see how it worked. A window opened with a realistic looking Elven male. The Creation Menu looked exactly like a detailed character creation screen from a game but it was a real person he could alter.

In the center of the menu was an image of a detailed male Elf who he appeared to be alive already. Off to the side, Ben found sliders and color palettes used to change the size, shape, and features of the recruit. At the top of the screen, there was even a place to enter a name for the recruit.

What surprised him, even more, was an option with presets of many famous people from Earth that he recognized. While going through the presets he saw well-known male movie stars, musicians, athletes, and many other faces and body shapes.

For now, he chose to make an elf look how he thought it should. With shoulder length straight blonde hair and ice blue eyes. He gave him stern handsome facial features and a slender ripped physique that an Olympic swimmer might have. He went through a list of fantasy names from one of his books and decided to name him Tallon.

Once he finalized his alterations the menu closed the blue mist he was all too familiar with now began to gradually form a dense spherical shape in the center of the array.

This spherical shape of dense mana began to quickly take on the shape of a human-like shape. Within twenty seconds the elf that he had just modeled in the Creation Menu stood before him curiously looking around the room.

He was only wearing what looked like a pair of white boxers, so Ben opened the warehouse and pulled out some clothes that would fit him.

As he was picking out clothing and footwear that fit him the elf turned to look at Ben. Somehow he knew how to salute like the people of this world by placing a fist over his heart as he spoke for the first time.

"Reporting for duty my lord. Please give me your orders."

Ben smiled and began to pass over the clothing.

"For starters put these clothes on. I still need to design military uniforms later so this should do for now. You are my first soldier so there isn't much to do right now. Just come over here beside me while I create a few comrades for you."

"Yes my lord!"

When the elf was dressed and out of the formation circle, Ben began to make groups of fifty Elven archers at a time until he had 150 male Elven archers and 150 female Elven archers.

This time because he was making so many recruits he went with the random appearance choice and was not disappointed. Even though there were elves with shades of green or blue hair they all were handsome or beautiful. With slender graceful bodies, they seemed to almost float when they moved.

Ben had Tallon lead the newly created recruits out into the hallway because the room

quickly became crowded.

The female elves that he made were wearing the same white boxers as the males, but thankfully or unthankfully they were wearing strapless half camisole tops which were just enough material to cover their breasts.

When Ben left the recruitment room with the last batch of Elves, he led them all outside.

"Before I assign you all your rooms and give you any orders, I want to get you all some proper clothing. We will go over to the market and I will let you all pick out any clothes you want. If I were to hand pick all three hundred of you clothing we would be here for days." Ben explained with a smile.
